track probably around 5:00 pm. you notice the red line. it is east of florida. even with that you can still have effects either side of the line. probably going to be a tough go. then forth to the north it becomes more of a forecast challenge because even though the forecast track does bring it up south of new england that was based on old information. there is new information south. so while we wait to see what the hurricane center officially goes with we'll say it's still a stay tuned situation because the track is not locked in stone. if matthew were to bother us perhaps beneficial rain shut down in charleston early this morning as a water main break flooded arrow road. crews have removed the damaged pipe, and are in the process of replacing that section. crews have shut off water to spread. no one was hurt but the red cross responded to help three people and the dog displaced by the fire. fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire. >> jadiann: the man accused of posing as an uber driver and sexually assaultings a student is back mind bars. he was arrested monday night. the district attorney's office says that he was under house arrest and ordered to wear a gps brace left but he bracelet and disappeared over the weekend. he was arraigned tuesday in district court. >> reporter: video show as store front smash and grab as thieves make off with an a.t.m. this happened a couple of weeks ago in new mexico. the two thieves ran the truck into the glass of front of the store then load the a.t.m. into the truck then take off. once the money was removed from [laughter] okay. pleasant stretch of weather for the next several days. we of course need to continue watching hurricane matthew. at this time it's offshore. with a possibility of some of the moisture from matthew running up along a cold front of all thi rain on sunday morning. that is, that is the way it looks like now. perhaps that could trend in the direction where we're talking about sunshine for the holiday weekend. that is how difficult of a forecast that we face. hire it is right here. this is moving north at about 10 miles an hour. it came through haiti this morning. now it's eyeing eastern cuba, then from there, it does continue on that north northwest track through the or perhaps just east of nassau wednesday. 8:00 pm with winds of 130 miles an hour moving through the bahamas then east up along the east coast of florida offshore. the redline is where the center they anticipate they meaning the hurricane center likely to be. with the cone of uncertainty meaning it could end up in miami and it's considered a valid forecast. this is how tricky the tropical systems r. the challenge is for us once it gets up does it on on that northeasterly track or a new wrinkle as high pressure drops out of canada. perhaps it blocks matthew from advancing north of north carolina. in fact the european model which we do rely heavily on because it's vastly superior to any other model on the planet, does show that. even this yellow line i think it's too far away to have any issue for new on the edge from a cool front that grabs some of the moisture from matthew as it's passing south of new england. that is one possible scenario. then the european model again, this is just in mid afternoon, this is radically different than what it was suggesting the last couple of days where it does a bit of a loop and gets blocked by the air of high pressure dropping out of canada. so nothing is set in stone but for new england, for us, perhaps we're talking about nothing but sunshine for the entire holiday weekend. as we get closer to the event the track will lock in. that might happen as soon as later tonight or through the day tomorrow. we have clouds breaking apart with a mix of clouds and sunshine. partly cloudy skies tonight, cool lows between 40-50. morning clouds and sun in the afternoon. coolest conditions along the coast. east wind temperatures tomorrow metro boston mid 60s, near 70 farther inland. norwood at 70. valley, upper sea coast then you get to the worcester hill, a mix of clouds an sunshine. on the cape and the islands chatham 66. nantucket at 65. more sunshine on thursday, a pleasant fall day. low 70s, your 7 on 7 forecast again sunday there is the chance of rain but even that might be yanked out of the forecast or if the track changes perhaps we ramp it back up but say the possibility of some rain on sunday morning. it does not look like a wind threat see you at 5:00 with the brand new track update. >> jadiann: thank you. time for traffic. let's get a check of the roads. how is it going?
