rest of the weekend? >> you can expect to work, nicole, yes. but we had a beautiful day today, that was the calm before the storm the good news is the worst of this is to the south of us, at least it's good news for us. not such good news for the mid atlantic coastline of rain and possibly lingering interest wednesday. the biggest concern, rough says, dangerous rip currents, so beach goers and boaters not looking so good for the holiday. here's where the storm is now, it does not have its tropical characteristics that it once did, so we can't call it tropical storm hermine, but don't get bogged down in what to call it. just call it hermine, still tropical storm force winds associated with it. it's still moving at a pretty good clip, 13 miles per hour, but it's going to slow tie crawl. this is why it's event. we've got a blocking high to the north that's going to keep it kind of in place. it's doing the sit and spin to the south of new england, off the mid atlantic coastline. through wednesday, and then into thursday we finally hope to get rid of this thing. and it's the weekend, as it tracks closer to new england. nevertheless is there a tropical storm watch that's in effect for the south coast, cape and islands, and a tropical storm warning for those water areas off shore. the watch means that tropical so we'll be watching out for them, the warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected. and we're talking about wind gusts 39 miles per hour or stronger. so damaging wind gusts really the biggest concern here, as well as those wild waves and seas that i talked about before, coastal flooding, not as much of an issue. we could see some pockets of minor coastal flooding spashover and beach erosion. heavy rain, unfortunately doesn't look likely for us. we could use the rain, but hope for and that's only in some locations. sunday, monday the winds peaking, and then tuesday strongest winds across the south coast, 35 to 50-mile per hour gusts are possible. then we track the rain. you see the clouds increasing through the day tomorrow, but we do stay dry. it's just going to be breezy north of of the mass. pike and windy south of the mass. pike. rain bands start to work through monday and could keep coming through, as we head into for? i mentioned one to two inches is not off the table, but looks more likely the more south and east you get. chance of rain staying with us tuesday and then kind of lingers into wednesday a possibility. weekend get way, it's going to be a tough go for cape cod. but if you head north to the mountains and lakes, possibly a shower on monday, that's that's isolated in nature and again the breezy conditions staying with us throughout the weekend and into the middle of next week. look at the seven on seven forecast, showing once we do kick hermine out of the end of next week. have a good night. >> anchor: coming up in sports, it's down to final 53-man roster, we have the finalists of all the patriots
