But their paychecks come from the federal government. Even with the federal Government Shutdown, n. T. S. B. Officials continue investigating how an outofservice cta train could roll out on its own, slamming into another train a mile away. The investigation is causing backups and confusion for blue line riders. Some experienced dangerously overcrowded train platforms and more than doubled commute times. The cta made some Service Changes to reduce the waiting time between trains, including more shortrun trains and shuttle buses to the oak park and forest park stations. Police in suburban mundelein are trying to find a man who abducted a 3yearold girl for about a half hour, and then returned her. Police certainly want to know what happened in that 30 minutes. And they are running tests. They are asking as many people as they can but remember that she is only 3 years old. It was 5 30 pm monday when a 3yearold girl, following her mother and her 9yeaold sister inside this apartment complex in the 500 block of deepwoods drive, found herself trapped inside the vestibule with her sister. A stranger also among them. Their mother was only steps away. Theres a short conversation 1015 seconds. Car in the vicinity. That is when the offender grabbed her and took her back to his vehicle. Police arrived on the scene almost immediately. In that time, alberto swall said two teenage girls told him that they, too, had been approached by the same guy in this 4door hyundai. A black, maybe blue car, with aftermarket wheels that make it stand out. They said this guy who snatched the baby had approached them and asked if they want some candy. They said no. While investigators were still on the scene, the offender came back. Cops were floored to learn the girl had been dropped back off at the complex and slipped away without a trace. Really the last thing in our minds is that this guy was coming back to the scene. But he did. You can tell on a video that she is clearly distraught and confused and she runs away from the car and towards another Apartment Building that is not hers. The girl was reunited with her mother right away. Tonight, children fill the streets and fliers fill every doorway of the deepwoods apartments, warning of the abductor still on the loose. This man took advantage of a little 3yearold. Take her. She was with other childret he aggressively took her. That is horrible. This is so sad. These little girl has been questioned by police and checked out by doctors but no professionals can ascertain whether she has been physically harmed or not. Test results should revealed more with time, and so should surveillance cameras. Tonight, a Chicago Police are inside working with detectives here trying to create a sketch of this offender and they hope to have won to deliver to the public by this morning. A woman from coal city is suing the Lasalle CountySheriffs Office after she was strip searched during a dui arrest. Attorneys representing 33yearold dana holmes provided this video to the chicago tribune. She was booked in may after her blood alcohol level registered nearly three times the legal limit.
