Just want the umbrella so if you live at the coastline you have a better chance to stay wet. Here is a look, we have the low Pressure Center dropping down and the upper atmosphere and that is why we have the clouds anth in fact, we have seen the showers in the overnight, right now, they are hanging around cape ann and cape cod. A few showers have popped up way to the west, but they are very light. We will track these, coming out of the sea coast area, they have been coming down across essex county, just right along 93 there as you can see, and they are drifting generally to the south, taking on a little bit of a southeastward turn. Most of this rain stays east of boston, but there will be this one little shot at a brief the next hour that drops southward. Now, we have one little sprinkle right over the westboro area, look it, right there at 495 and the pike. That is going to move to milford and it is a quick, literally trace amount of rain. Now, over to provincetown and barnstable, i have been watching this rain and make its way southeastward. And i have been talking about the back edge of this come over barnstable about 8 15. So it looks like that is on track. It will continue to clear the cape. We are just going to see spotty light rain, i think of this as most of the heavier showers pass by just to the north of the islands. But look at these rain amounts. They are not heavy, but certainly enough to make it damp and dreary. We have seen about a 0. 1 in gnashw and a few hundred in bosston so far. Lets track the train with futurecast. It does a good job showing where the rain is now, Going Forward it gives you confidence that this is going to be how it pans out. At noontime, most of the area is dry and it will stay that way some passing rain drifting from the north to the south. Best chance will be at the coastline, but anywhere inside of 495 you have to wind chill out for that threat for the afternoon and even a few on the cape for your evening plans. Afternoon number, only around 50 degrees today. And then look at this, we are right back to the chill coming up tonight. Waking up in the 30s, when you see shiri tomorrow morning. February, a broken switch along an amtrack rail sut down south station, commuters were diverted to the back bay, which looked like this during the october, an orange line train began taking on smoke at back bay station. Passengers kicked out windows to escape. Just sunday, operatetor error detailed a green line train. A recent audit found the green line had the most derailments of any light Passenger Rail in the country. None of these problems had anything to do with Winter Weather. In, like, the the trains are not reliable. My fear is that they are going to be caught sleeping again and not prepared. What letter grade would you give response in 2015 and then what letter grade would you give your plan for this upcoming 2015, and i would be looking for a b. Plus this winter. David corey is the new general manager at keolis which runs the Commuter Rail that Winter Weather halted for days in 2015. There was a massive investment in snow removal equipment last year. The big investment this year is in training of our people and making sure our people are ready. Keolis has a new stra night during snowstorms, to keep the tracks clear. And parking trains not in use out of the elements. New this winter, smart glasses, to help engineers diagnosis problems remotely. Im a rider myself daily and i experience firsthand what the passengers experience. We are totally focused on making the system ready for winter time. Time will tell. The t. And keolis said they are as ready as they can be and everyone hoping we will have another mild one this year. For fox 25 investigates, im Kerry Cavanaugh. All right. So mbta getting ready for winter. We are, too. Everyone is getting in the mind set it is that time of year to talk about flurries with are already talking to the far north. I finally took the sweaters outf and then it is like kind of, i have to do it in parts. I have so much stuff. I have to get the wool socks out. The fleece lined tights out. We work outside so yeah. Yeah. I always like to wear those, always gives you insulation. You need it. I dont know if its the morning but it is cool and dreary, in the 40s. Remember yesterday we were in the 20s in a lot of spots. You see cloud cover, it will be thick. We have had glimmers of sunshine coming through, and then the clouds fell back in. 56 degrees at logan a and winds out of the north at 17 Miles Per Hour as low pressure gliedz buy to thest ooh. Atmosphere with the showers developing. And they have been moving out of the sea coast, down the north shore, and im tracking just a wet and just damp morning here. Cape ann, most of essex county has had some rain but really steady over gloucester right no. And this little batch of white rain, malden, chelsea, over the airman, that is going to move over towards hull. We will watch here around hingham and scituate a batch of rain coming in off the ocean for you. So, it now, i have been talking about the back edge of the batch of steady rain moving over barnstable and yet we timed it out correctly, it is continuing to move eastward and the back edge of this rain will start to clear these towns at these times. So chatham by 9 00 in the morning, back edge of the showers moving away. But then, i will watch the showers coming down off the south shore to hit cape cod through, say, 11 or 12 00 today possibly the islands as well. We have these ocean effects showers that may start to develop once again and a couple could even brush the north and south shore as well into the late day. For your evening plans, we are going to watch cape cod and south shore in particular, for that continued chance of an isolated shower. Now, highs today are going to be running at around 50 degrees. Kind of what you see is what you get. We are not going to warm up much and keep it cool. And then, look at this. You see all these clearc start to clear out, cooler air is filtering in from the north and we end up with temperatures in the 30s and most spots to start our monday, 40s on cape cod. It is a chilly monday morning, High Pressure though does settle in closer to us on monday afternoon. So we bring the sun back and we have less wind and we have some nicer temperatures out there when you factor in the sunshine. That will be hitting most of us on monday. The only exception some coastal clouds linger for monday it is going to get milder after a chilly start to the day. So, no weather impeding anyone from heading out to the polls. Wednesday a slight chance of showers with a weak front coming by. And then, as we head to veterans day, right now, our models are not quite in agreement, little too soon. It does look like another front with possibly some colder air, maybe even some snowflakes in the next weekends forecast, but still, lot of time to watch that. The rest of area getting some chilly readings to start out pressure is nearby, so thats less wind, brighter skies. If we will see some lingering clouds, its cape cod on monday. And then, on tuesday, even brighter. And warmer. Milder conditions on tuesday afternoon. Its 61 degrees for election day. No weather inhibiting issues for the polls.
