We will be back at 50 degrees. We head to highs only in the 50s today. Our warmup is cap and temperatures will run below the spots that lemy strongest gusts today, 40 degrees right now, winds sustained at 26. We have gusts reported this morning close to about 45 Miles Per Hour. So it feels like its only 29 degrees outside. We will see increasing sunshine, yes, but temperatures struggling to even get up to 50 degrees here for the afternoon. You factor in the wind it will feel like its in 30s, a huge chunk of the day, into Central Massachusetts and worcester hills. Through 8 a. M. We have a little cloud cover, aer to melt away. We have increasing sunshine for the afternoon. Looking fantastic here at 4 p. M. Of course it might not feel fantastic, when you add in the wind and the fact that our highs are only in the 50s, overnight tonight we will see the the cloud fill back in. We have a fast mover that will track to the south, as it does it is filling in the risk for showers here early tomorrow morning. So that risk is going to start around 2 00 in the morning here, so by the time we hit the morning commute, areas south of boston i will look out for a few showers and continue here south morning but by noontime we have increasing sunshine from the north and the west, thats going to be sliding southeastward here into the afternoon. So we do make a brighter turn against tomorrow, problem is, it will still be very windy out there. So 55 today in boston and beverly, 56 in norwood, about 49 degrees today in worcester, and 51234 keene, New Hampshire. The mid 50s there for the outer cape and the islands, tonight with those increasing clouds we are only going to dip into the 40s. It will not be too bad, too raw here tomorrow morning, but there is a risk of first half of the day on monday, after that we turn brighter, temperatures like today mostly in the mid 50s. When i hear arguments that massachusetts needs more charter schools, i think what about the students in all of our schools . Every new charter takes away more money from the existing public schools. I will show you how long that threat for wind is really going to stick with us and what its doing the wind chills coming up. Back to you guys. Okay. We have a potential tragedy developing this morning in New Hampshire where a teenager is away in fridays heavy flooding. The 16 yearold was last seen walking home from a friends house in the height of the rain and hours later his belongings were found scattered near an open storm drain. Fox 25s jim morelli is live in nashua and crews remember searching the the rivers because they believe that is where they may find this missing teen . Thats correct, merrimac and the nashua river, which is right behind us here as well as the citys storm drainage system. Storm came through nashua, dropped about 3 of rain, a lot of that rain coming between the hours of 8 00 and 9 00. And about an hour later, Nashua Police got a call from someone who said, you know, has someone fallen through an open storm drain . The reason they raised the possibility was because there was debris scattered around that looked to be of a personal nature. When police came they found this debris but there was nothing super personal, nothing to identify who owned the stuff. But, i believe it was a hat and some other things the next morning, a father called and said, my 16 yearold son, jacob goulet is his name, did not come home last night this. Is not like him. He was at a friends house. And i believe he walked home in that powerful rain storm. The wife is home bawl, her grandmother is home crying, his father is just a wreck, and just awful not knowing. I mean its a cold night. Hard to deal with. And it is very, very chilly up here today with the wind and the temperature. So its going to be a tough day to go out searching on the river, but that is exactly what they are going to be doing now that its daylight. I dont know if we will see them quite here, the merrimac and nashua rivers come together in the area, they are also again as i mentioned going to be going through the citys storm drainage system, hopeply to find something. In the control room, fox 25 news. Jason, my mind is blown. We are all over the place. Look at the wardrobe change . Oh, man, hot coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, whatever you want of the it is going to be the bundle up kind of morning. Our forecast today is very wind blown. It is going to be very bitter kind of raw, 47 degrees right now in boston but we have sustained winds running at 23 Miles Per Hour, Even Stronger gusts than that. So the wind chill is only 39 degrees right now as you get up in boston, even chillier outside of the city, but you can find gusts in the upper 20s into the 30s and even a gust at 44 Miles Per Hour in worcester. Worcester has been my breeziest so far this morning and thats probably going to be the windiest spot into the afternoon as well. But, a little hourbyhour look at some of the feels like temperatures, still in the 20s and 30s, at 8 a. M. By noontime, today, it will feel like its probably in the low or mid 40s, even though we are going to have some pops of 50s on the map. And then for the afternoon i will go with a hague of 55 in boston and lawrence, and plymouth. Not even getting up to 50 degrees today in worcester, but, i want you to shave off about 510 degrees when you start factoring in how it is going to feel with the wind on top of that. So the wind chill today is going to be a real issue. Cool and windy, yes, but at least the Early Morning disturbance is moving out to sea. It will drag with it the clouds as well as the showers, even here at our studio, in dedham. We are seeing the sun come out now and it looks fantastic. Continues to brighten up through noontime. Afternoon featuring mostly sunny thing you cant see. Late tonight we will find the clouds moving back in, by this time tomorrow, i will be tracking some showers for you. So, tonight, low temperatures back into the 40s, these are your wakeup temperatures in the mornings, the best bet for morning rain is going to be south at the pike and although temperatures tomorrow are still kind of chilly out there, mid and upper 50s we are due for high, it will be 12 degrees warmer than today, and it brightens up again. Tomorrow morning this is when you need to be umbrella prepared quick mover, so although it is bringing us a period of rain in the morning, once we hit noontime we should brighten up nicely in bros ton, Central Massachusetts up into the north shore and southern New Hampshire. And over time you will find that clearing sky even penetrating southeastern massachusetts, which brings the sunshine back on monday afternoon. But, the wind is still going to be an item that we have got to follow. Temperatures for the next two days, still running slightly below that average of 59 degrees, but mid 50s today, upper 50s tomorrow, and then tuesday, wednesday, thursday, we are struggling. We are at about 50 degrees. We will have more clouds coming in as well, even the chance for rain by late in the week. Sevenday forecast with the weekend always in view, of course, keeping thins very windy today at 56 degrees. 58 and breezy tomorrow. Gusts are still going up to be up around 30, maybe 35 Miles Per Hour. Ted cruz, breezy, colder, with wakeup temperatures close to freezing through the middle of the week. It is just too surreal. Kerry cavanaugh, fox 25 news. How long would it take for the shock to wear off . Let you know he is perfectly healthy. But unbelievable. Unbelievable. As we said, mom is scrambling to stock up on the baby supplies they didnt get because they didnt know. Obviously, yeah, they have had no time to prepare. They have had no idea. The best part of the story is where she said i have always been the aunt, tain taken the kids and given them back because they are not mine. Now she is mommy. We cant give that one back, good luck to them and the little guy. The pressure is on for the president ial candidates as election day draws closer and closer. A look at voters in the states. Police say the boy was last seen leaving a friends house in nashua, New Hampshire, and that is where fox 25s jim morelli is this morning and, jim, police now investigating the possibility of the teen may have ended up falling into a storm drain. About an hour later, Nashua Police got a call from somebody saying that it was possible someone might have fallen into one of the storm drains and the reason they raised that possibility was because there seemed to be some personal debris around the drain. Police came out, found the debris, but didnt find any identifying debris. And they didnt find a person, either. And the next morning, a father called police and said, look, my 16 yearold son has been missing character for him. His name is jacob goulet. Police say the boy was last seen leaving a friends house in nashua, New Hampshire, and there is fear that he may have gotten swept into a storm nashua this morning, and, jim, you just spoke with the woman who said she called police. Yeah, we did indeed. All morning long we have been trying to figure out the description of the 16 yearold, is that he is 5 8, 200 pounds and we have been trying to figure out how he would have gotten swept into a storm drain because we usually think of those thins as being fairly small. But we spoke with a woman named francis lee sander, she said she was in this area on friday night, as an intense rain storm she was walking towards this large drain, and she saw something odd in the street. A brand new umbrella. It was open and then when i looked out, i jumped back. Myself. Okay. I said somebody is in there. Because the hat, it looked like he was trying to hold on, his umbrella flew where the fence is, it was like nearby. The umbrella here, and then after the hat was right, right near the drain. Like if he was trying on. Just to describe for you what she described to us, this drain apparently consists of two large steel plates, apparently, one of them had become loose, had gone askew, and she said the opening was definitely large enough for someone to go through. She said when emergency crews came, it took four or five guys to lift that other plate off. So, presumably, we are talking about forceful water pushing that plate off and she said the rain that night was intense. Street was also intense. And she wishes that she could have come a little bit earlier because she thought maybe she could have helped. Live fox 25 news. Temperatures go a couple degrees warmer than today, nothing to get excited about. 50s are still going to feel very fall like and chilly. The rain tomorrow, we are looking at trace amounts in boston, possibly one or two tenths of aninch of rain over the cape and islands. Now, that means that is not the same washout we had yesterday. It is not the soaking, drenching, torrential rain we had friday. It is just some lighttomoderate showers in the morning tomorrow. After that we have a big cool down tuesday wednesday thursday, waking up to near freezing temperatures in the 30s, the highest only about 50 degrees, is your next bet for rain. Back the to you guys. The 16 yearold was last seen walking home from a friends house in the height of the storm and hours later his belongings were found scatter near an open and crews have been searching the rivers because that is where they believe they will find the missing teen . Thats correct. All morning long we are trying to figure out how does is a teen who is 5 8, 200 pounds, fit into a storm drain . How does that happen . We got a much clearer picture from a woman named Francis Lee Sanders with lived in the area and lived here for 50 years in nashua and she tell us and on friday she was walking through the area and the wake of a torrential rain storm, when she saw something very strange in the midst of the Rushing Water and that was a brand new umbrella. It was open and then when i looked down, i jumped back. Myself. Okay. I said somebodys in there. Because the hat, it looked like he was trying to hold on, his umbrella flew where the fence is, it was like nearby. His umbrella here, and then after the hat, it went right in the drain. On. In fact we did see the drain and it is made up of two large steel plates. And what francis is telling us is that one of the plates appeared to have been pushed aside by what was some intense Rushing Water from the storm. Her theory is perhaps this young manage wuh trying to hold onto that other place. We dont know this for sure, the family is Still Holding out hope that perhaps he decided to stay at his friends house. Plus, the patriots gearing up to take on the steelers this afternoon. Fox 25 Butch Stearns takes a look at how the two teams stack up in your mni and we may have temperatures right now in the 40s, but your wind chills easily in the 30s, only 39 degrees in boston, feels like 34 in worcester. Like 34 in worcester. When you factor in the wind imagine if your child were trapped in a failing school. Imagine if your child couldnt read or write at grade level. Imagine if your child were stuck on a waiting list. 32,000 kids want to go to a public charter school. But they cant. If you like your public school, in failing School Districts, question 2 will let parents choose Something Better and give all our kids hope. It is game day for the patriots and the steelers, and kick off is set for 4 25. Fox 25 Sports Reporter and anchor Butch Stearns is in pittsburgh today with a look at the matchup. Patriots steelers is always a battle and sunday here in another knockdown dracout between the two teams. The patriots are 7 1 2 point favorites on the road. The reason is obvious. Ben roethlisberger is not playing in the ghaim having northwest lee meniscus surgery this past sunday. His backup, landry jones will start. When it comes to tom brady against the steelers he had Great Success against the team. The last time the two teams faced off was in foxboro to open the 2015 season. Brady threw for 4 touchdowns, and a 2821 win that day. Here in pittsburgh. And with or without Ben Roethlisberger the patriots offense still has to go against the tough steelers defense. And the patriots know, you always have to earn everything you get against the pittsburgh defense. The steelers over the years really havent changed that much, they have a lot of same core guys, and they are always big. Always physical. You are always going in for a tough matchup when row go over the steelers defense, no matter same steelers defense. It is a lot of pressure, i mean, they blitz a lot. They have every blitz in the book. Its ooh a challenging defense to play. They test you in every area. And, you know, its why we have so many tough games against them. That he are tough to play especially at home. Tom bray ki talk about how tough the steelers are, but the truth is he owns the team, 42 in his history at heinz field and that includes two wins in two different games, 82 in his ten games against the steelers all time and in the games, he thrown for 24 touchdowns total and just 3 interceptions. Thereby proteching it from future developers. Commissi told fox 25 they are trying to figure out which aspects of the sign are most important, the colorer to the height, to its positionings on to have of 660 beacon street. It cant be etched in stone, with the ongoing development, smilelage told us. How doe we protect the sign and still allow for growth . Boston university is selling the building to a Real Estate Company called related deal and right now, related deal is not discussing its plans. Its an icon. We are learning more about the fact that the site that knocked out amazon and twitter friday, as we told you yesterday morning hackers overloaded the servers at New Hampshire based hackers caused it to crash by placing soft ware into simple household devices like dvrs and routers and security cram rahs, that software then used the devices to generate millions of fake requests for information, over loading the servers and causing those massive intrungses. Experts say as we rely more on technology it is essential to step up security me sures. Shiri spear and we are not kidding about the wind. You have the rert in. Not only sit cold and uncomfortable the wind blowing to the sunday start, but im getting the first reports of wires down and free limbs down. This is where that element of potential power outage comes in, you guys. So lets take it out to the maps right now. 47 degrees is the temperature, we have a sustained wind at 21 Miles Per Hour in boston. Making it feel like its 39. Wind chills are going to be something that we will contend with to they, but there is really no danger behind this. Just dits comfort. Will feel like lower 40s even upper 30s as you travel further west, the coolest spot ends up being worcester today, and i think high temperatures in worcester probably could even get up to 50 degrees, but you can see almost everybody else here in south reason New Hampshire, north shore, boston, south shore, cape, gets into the mid 50s. You are going to have to shave off between 510 trees when you start considering though those wind chills, how it will feel when you are caught by the kind of raw wind today. So, cool and windy, really sums it up, early clouds are sunshine is in, but we do have some of those damage reports that you mentioned. Here is one i tweeted out, or retweeted a picture of this that i received on twitter this morning. This is in lowell, large tree down on a house. I have got another report coming in from sharon, tree down on wires. So, i think that this damage to trees, to wires, to even homes or cars if they are in the line of those branfs is where that real danger comes in today, especially because our trees still have a lot of leaves attached to them. Greater damage. If we didnt have so much foliage still on the trees, there might not be as much we have temperatures tonight back in the 40s, and you saw by this time tomorrow we have some rain moving in. It is not a washout of a day, it is mostly focused around the morning hours, and tomorrow we could be one or two degrees warmerrer but honestly mid and upper 50s again for your monday, notice rain chances at 7 a. M. Mostly south of the pike and you will see during the morning commute, thats where we are tracking those with. Roadways we dont have the same really reaching mass New Hampshire boarder, kind of close call for you guys. But i will say south of boston where is we have the best bet more morning rain, by noontime already making the dry turn and then, yes, the sun comes back for the afternoon, it will arrive first in areas north and west of boston, but eventually it does reach into the southeastern massachusetts as well. We have couple days here where we are dealing with wind. Today, windy, 56. The potential for wind damage, i have a wind advisory that goes until 6 00. I dont have a wind advisory for the day tomorrow, but it still of morning showers, so have your umbrellas ready to go, but sunglasses for the drive home from work no doubt. Tuesday, partly sunny, breezy, 50 degrees. Wind finally calm on wednesday, but we are going to really see temperatures much, much cooler, waking up to the 30s. Highs only about 50 degrees here tuesday, wednesday, thursday. Next bet for rain after that is thursday night, into your friday. But by next weekend it looks like it will be nice and bright again. Back to you guys. A missing since the height of fridays heavy rain. The fear of where he may have ended up that has crews searching the rivers this weekend. Disappeared friday night in the middle of the the heavy rain. And Police Say Surveillance video put him in an area where a woman reported finding personal items around an open storm pair of rivers and the citys underground drain system. You knew you were pregnant. Its unbelievable. It is a wind one, but its nice and bright, finally sunshine, but its been two days since we have been in the sun, i think we are all stoked about putting the blown today, im getting damage reports in of tree limbs down, damaging both power lines, and even some proper thety. So thats our big concern today, the potential for some wind damage. Especially because we have got like foliage right now. If we didnt have so many leaves it wouldnt be an issue. Breezy conditions stick with us into the early part of the week. We have morning commute showers here tomorrow, but otherwise looking pretty good. I would say, later in the week freezing temperatures or close to it. Very cold. Bundle up. Oh, man. Bottom line. And stay warm and enjoy the sunshine while we have it.
