investigating an early morning shooting in dorchester. e.m.s. confirms to fox 25 three people heard, one of them suffering life-threatening injuries on wale and nightingale threats around 2:00. fox 25 was there as they combed the scene for evidence. more detail as they become available this morning. >> this morning, a suspect remains on the loose. but, again, this happened at around 6:00 in the morning. so, again, right around this exact same time two hours ago. look around on foundry street, all of this dark. this happening about 4 to eight hours. easton police say she was walking her dog at the bristol condominiums around 6:00 in the morning. that's when someone came up be sexual assaulted her. the victim was able to run away to get helpful that's when police arrived. neighbors we spoke with say this is all very disturbing. >> i think it's very intimidating. it's really scary. this seems like a safe area. i've always felt comfortable here. >> police told us, they do not have a description of the suspect and the victim wasn't able to provide one. they say this is the still a we're continuing to reach out to police. coming up at 6:30, the action one neighbor says she's going to take in light of what happened. in easton, stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. >> new details emerging about the murders of two nuns in their own home. robert early sanders appeared in court yesterday accused of the murders last month. he allegedly told police, he walked into sisters margaret when they confronted him. investigators are still working to determine if they were raped. yesterday in court, a judge denied bond for sanders. sanders is being charged with capital murder and could face the death penalty if convicted. the case is expected to go to a grand jury. >> a murder investigation underway in new hampshire this morning and police are releasing pictures of their prime suspect. he is wanted for shooting another man to death. of merrimack and beech street. the ada says maldonado may still have a gun on him and should not be approached if you see him. >> an off duty officer spotted the flag burning and called fox 25. erica richie shows us the video hoping to lead police to whoever is responsible. >> it's not clear, but if you look on the right of the screen, you can see someone a trash can with unsteady foot then seconds later, illuminated objects fall to belonged to her father when he served more than a decade thefts. right off doorsteps in west ninth street. these surveillance pictures show the suspects. witnesses tell fox 25, they found the man following a delivery truck around on his bicycle. >> i told him, i said, i don't know if you've gotten stuff delivered a lot. there was a guy that grabbed a box from here. obviously, he didn't like what was in there and dropped it. >> dozens of people who live in the area tell fox 25, the problem has been going ofo weeks and they're hoping the surveillance pictures help police catch the suspect. >> happening now, a stand off continues between police and a man barricaded among an amtrak train. it's happening in los angeles, along the pacific route. it pulled into the station around 6:00 p.m. local time. according to witnesses, they reported a passenger with a gun. the man ma appears to be under the influence of some sort or issue. all 192 passengers and crew have been evacuated. negotiators and s.w.a.t. are currently trying to get the man to surrender. so far no shots fired. two people will go to prison for sexual assaulting a 16-year-old girl and sharing video of that incident on snapchat. they were sentenced yesterday. the assault happened two years ago behind a saugus elementary school. yesterday in court their lawyers apologized on their behalf and apologize to his family, apologize to the victim in this case. >> i would like to start by addressing my deep remorse and apology for my reactions. i have seen the way this has affected everyone involved. >> they were each sentenced to four to five years in prison and after their release they will need to register as sex offenders. >> a teen was hit before 9:00 off-ramp in newtonville. police say he was walking her dog. and this morning, police still looking for the man responsible. >> fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live in easton where this assault happened and the woman says this man came up from behind her. >> reporter: yeah, actually, at this hour, police are still looking for that man. 48 hours after all of this happened. that has neighbors absolutely on edge. not only behind me, this all happened on a busy road along foundry street. >> it's really scary. >> reporter: people living in the bristol condominiums are shaken up after learning one of their neighbors was sexual assaulted. she was walking her dog around 6:00 a.m. on foundry street. according to the victim, someone came up behind her and then attacked and sexual assaulted her. helpful when police arrived, she began talking with neighbors. >> she said, do you ever see anybody strange around here? >> corey said she never thought twice about walking her dog. >> this is a really quiet neighborhood. we all know each other and most of the people who walk dogs we all kind of know each other. >> reporter: but after learning what happened, she told us, she will be careful and onl during daylight hours. and, again, this happened at 6:00 in the morning and at this point in the year, that's when it's still dark out. police say they do not have a description of the suspect. but they say this is still an active worcester's are at 50% capacity but the situation even worse because 10% of that water cannot be accessed by pipes. in response, the city declared a level three drought emergency which restricts water use for everyone in the city. >> we haven't seen a drought of this magnitude for about 26 if it continues on, it could exceed that last drought. >> jason: worcester's water ban extends to commercial businesses too. local restaurants being asked not to automatically provide free tap water and wait until a customer requests it. >> catherine: the faa trying to figure out if million of drones are 70s. nantucket, cape cod. we have an approaching front from the west. so this orange color is showing you where that deep moisture is. and when it's maximized. this is late sunday night into monday. so the rain, the mugginess, then it gets again on tuesday and monday. so the dry air. but we do need the rain. let's talk about the timing how it looks on future cast, the latest model run and you can see a warm front kind of washing out as it gets closer to us. ahead of that, we see a chance morning. then as we get into tomorrow, late day evening, a better chance for some heavier downpours to move in. notice, it's really boston, north and westward, over the next tape where we have that better chance and then by monday, we begin to see the southeastern areas get involved in that heavier rain chance as well. here it is, through 5:00, still not a ton of rain yet. totals piling up. by the end of the day. we need that rain. right now lasting through monday. giving way to sunnier skies by the just about an hour ago. we showed you just how dark it is at that time. this is foundry street. this is a main street. even though early on a sunday morning. it's been pretty busy as cars have been driving by. again, it's been 48 hours since this happened. easton police say a woman was walking her dog near the bristol foundry street around 6:00 in the morning. that's when police say someone came up behind her and attacked and sexual assaulted her. the victim was able to run and get helpful that's when police arrived here. and neighbors that we spoke with say this is all very disturbing. >> i think it's really intimidating. it's really scary. this seems like a very safe area. i've always felt comfortable here. >> police tell us, they do not suspect and the victim wasn't able to provide appeared in a mississippi court again yesterday. accused of killing the pair last month. the time sanders was the street from the women. he allegedly told police, he walked to the sisters margaret held and paula merrill's home uninvited and stabbed them to death when they confronted him. the nuns were found partially clothed in the home. they did not say whether they were raped. sanders is charged with capital murder and could face the death penalty if convicted. the case expected to go to a now police have released pictures of the prime suspect. billy mold donald dough, wanted for shooting another man to death. at merrimack and beech streets. the attorney says maldonado may have had a gun on him and should not be approached if you see him. >> catherine: this morning, police are about 26 years. and if it continues on, it could exceed that last team talking about this now for months. worcester's water ban extends to commercial businesses. local restaurants being asked not to taking a look behind me this is foundry street. and it's a very busy road. a lot of people feeling very comfortable taking a walk along here. it's been about 48 hours since all of 24 happened. easton police say a woman was walking her dog near the bristol square condominiums here on southw the morning. that's when police say someone came up behind her and attacked around sexual assaulted her. the victim was able to run and get helpful that's when police arrived here. and neighbors say this is all very disturbing. >> i think it's really scary. this seems like a very safe area. i've always felt comfortable here. >> reporter: now, police told us they do not have a description but they say, again, at this hour, this is still an active investigation. and we're continuing to reach out to police. news. >> catherine: new details emerging about the murder of two nuns in their own home. rodney earl sanders appeared in court yesterday accused of killing the two last month. at the time, his sister directly across the street from the two women. he allegedly told police, he walked into the home uninvited and stabbed them to death when they confronted him. he traveled for the court appearance. >> we hope justice. >> catherine: police say the investigators still working to determine if they were raped. yesterday in court, a judge denied bond for sanders. sanders is being charged with capital that or that's indicating the deep moisture. it gets here late sunday. and it hangs around into monday. so you see where that is maximized. that's where we have the best potential for the heaviest rain. it looks like it's sunday night, monday, then it clears out of here tuesday and wednesday. so it's definitely not a wash out for your sunday. let's track the hour by hour rain fall. there's 5:00. so many of us across the greater rain. but look at the totals. only a few .01s of an inch. this is through 5:00 tomorrow. heaviest over western mass. and southern new hampshire and vermont. then as you can imagine, this absolutely has neighbors on edge. taking a look behind they, this foundry street. neighbors say they feel very safe walking and jogging along this very busy road. >> it's really scary. >> reporter: people living in the bristol square condominiums are shaken up after learning one of their n around 6:00 a.m. along foundry street. according to the victim, someone came up behind her and sexual assaulted her. when police arrived, they began speaking with neighbors. >> he just told me, do you see anyone ever strange around here? and i said no. i walk the dog pretty much every day. >> reporter: corey says she never thought twice about walking her dog. we all know each other. and most of the people who walk dogs, we all kind of know each other. >> reporter: but after learning what happened, she told us, she'll now be more careful and now walk only during daylight hours. and, again, this happened at 6:00 in the morning. at this point in the year, 6:00 a.m. is still dark. now, police say they do not have a description of the suspect. but they are still continuing to search. in easton, stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. >> jason: a federal judge objected a request from the boston police, just how much tax payers money was used in the defense team for dzhokhar tsarnaev. the judge ruled it should not be made public until after dzhokhar tsarnaev's appeal. 3 people died more than 240 others were hurt. dzhokhar tsarnaev was sentenced to death last year for his role. massive changes being worked out pour the brain tree police department evidence room discovered there. just this week, 11 cases tossed out because of evidence issue. the d.a.'s office sent out letters to people whose clients may be impacted. they were called to audit the evidence room and found the suspect shot into a car hitting a man and a woman. in the last 30 minutes, we learned a woman in that car has died and the man is in critical condition. two officers cornered that bunman in an 6:00. even though the sun is up in the sky right now. it is still dark at this hour. already cars driving to and from. this is the where this incident happened. it's been about 48 hours since this occurred and easton police say this woman was walking her dog here on foundry street around k6 in the morning. that's when police say someone came up behind her and attacked and sexual assaulted her. and then she ran police got here. neighbors say this is all disturbs. >> this is really scary. it seems like a very safe area. i've always felt comfortable here. >> reporter: know, police told us, they do not have a description of the suspects. the victim wasn't able to provide one. but they say at this hour, still a very active investigation. and we're continuing to -- as soon as we have an update, you'll want that online on fox 25 news. >> catherine: new details emerging about the murder of a man in his own home. rodney earl sanders appeared in court yesterday accused of killing the nuns last month. at the time, he was staying directly across the street. he allegedly told police, he walked into sisters margaret held and paula merrill's house and stabbed them to death. merrill's family traveled for sanders court. >> we just witness the legacy of sister paul and sister margaret. hope that justice is the best as we humans can do it is served. >> catherine: police say the nuns were found partially clothed in the hallways of their home. sanders is being charged with capital murder and faces the death penalty if convicted. the case is expected to go to a grand jury. >> jason: all 192 people on the train were safely evacuated and no one was hurt. two people are going to prison after sexual assaulting a girl and sharing that incident on snapchat. they were sentenced ago jason: all right. jason of a woman sexual assaulted while walking her dog, this morning, police still looking for the man who did it. >> catherine: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux reports from easton. the woman says the man came at her from behind. >> reporter: neighbors say they're very much on edge. usually they say they have absolutely no issues walking along this road. can see it's a very busy area. and up until now, neighbors say they felt very safe. >> it's very scary. >> reporter: people living in the bristol square condominiums are shaken up after learning one of their neighbors was sexual assaulted thursday morning. easton police say a woman was walking her dog around 6:00 a.m. around foundry street. according to the victim, someone came up behind her and attacked and sexual assaulted her. she was able to run and get helpful when police arrived, neighbors. >> they told me, did you ever see anyone strange around here? i was like no. and i walk my dog pretty much every day. >> reporter: corey says she's never thought twice about walking her dog. >> this is a quiet neighborhood. we all know each other and most of the people who walk dogs we all kind of know each other. >> reporter: after learning what happened, she told us, she'll be more comfortable and only walk during daylight hours. >> reporter: and, again, this happened at 6:00 in the morning. a.m. is still dark. now, police say they don't have a description of the suspect. but they tell us they're still continue to go search. in easton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. >> jason: a federal judge objected a request from the boston globe to learn how much taxpayer money was used in the defense of dzhokhar tsarnaev. the defense ruled that it should not be revealed until after the appeal of dzhokhar fabricating an assault case against him. the officer claims it is because of racial discrimination. the incident involving another wovp police officer caught on camera and then covered up. >> jason: massive changes being after a number of discrepancies discovered since this week, 11 cases tossed out because of the evidence issues. letters sent out to earn tos whose clients may be impacted by oversee the evidence room. >> catherine: developing this morning, a woman critically hurt in a wild chase in philadelphia has died. this started as a shooter ambushed an officer while sitting in her patrol car late last night. hit her in the arm and protective vest. then thet shoulder darted into a nearby bar shooting a security guard in the leg and using a pursuit, they shot into a car and hitting a man and a woman. in the last hour, we learned the woman died and the man in critical condition. two officers eventually cornered him in an alley where he was shot and killed. >> jason: libertarian candidate gary johnson will not take part in the debates. johnson had 8.4% backing in the polls nowhere close to 15% former massachusetts governor bill weld won't be part of the a chilly start. but recovering very nicely now. just getting to be a mild late morning. by midday, we're in the middle 70s there. as we head to 5:00 perform. still hanging out in the middle 70s in boston. not as cool tonight as the last couple of days. probably get a break there on some of the chill in the morning. we have the heater from time to time. but at fenway that bright sky above. south southwest wind at 5 to 10 miles per hour. not concerned with any wind. first pitch of 74 degrees. we'll be u near 80 in nashua and the islands. let's track the moisture. this is impacting the back half of our weekend. right now we're underneath dry air. the orange, that's the deep moisture. associated with tropical depression julia. and we also have a front in the midwest. so that front moves eastward, scoops up some of the tropical moisture. as we get muggier. monday. with the atmosphere really trying for the heavy rain. then by tuesday afternoon and wednesday, dry air indicated by that purple color is coming right back. there's the line of rain now, this warm front out ahead of it, we could see a spot shower coming up tomorrow morning. wake up with that rain chance already out there in play. have to watch that for your our tailgate plans at gillette tomorrow. doesn't look like a wash out. that risk the afternoon. the later you get, the better the chances the downpour plans of affecting your plans. through 4:00 on monday. many areas seen a chance of rain look at the amounts, still fairly low. only a few .01s of an inch. late in the afternoon, and overnight hours we begin to
