Such a heartbreaking story. The fire and police are asking everyone to be very careful when they step outside. Again, that can cause the tree limbs to fall down. 6yearold kailey kenyon was playing outside with her father on indian lane yesterday at her home, when that branch about 30 feet above the ground, fell on her, pinning her underneath. Her father, her brother, and a neighbor, they were all able to pull her from under that branch. The neighbor then performed cpr until police and fire arrived. Daddy, lets go make a snowman. And then the next thing i know, a tree broke and fell on her. And him and i just ran at it. Kind of lift her out and almost couldnt kaileys brother. He spoke with us after that tragedy. She was rushed to the hospital. She was unconscious and in critical condition. And she died less than five hours later. But, again, this morning, again, still some very tricky and dangerous conditions. That is why police and fire are asking everyone to be careful. Yarmouth, three people were able to walk away from this fiery crash. A Cape Cod Transit Authority bus was hit on by a speeding driver who lost control. Everyone on board was able to get off that bus first before it burst in flames. Take a look at this video out of wareham, a truck with a plow on it, took a nose dive off of a cliff. A military truck had to be called in to tow it back to safety. Incredibly no one was hurt in any of these incidents. We are also hearing another person hurt is from massachusetts and now in the hospital. This morning, the cause of the accident, is under investigation. Heather this morning, police are still searching for a suspect in a violent attack. This happened at a Shopping Plaza not far from the t stop in dorchester yesterday morning. Two people were shot two others stabbed. No word on their conditions or a possible motive. There was a huge gush of water coming right in front of the house on both sides of the street. Reporter jackie eaton woke up sunday morning not knowing what was going coming out of her street. You could just smell the smell. Reporter it was sewage, raw within a month in plymouth. It has been an absolute nightmare in terms of i cant describe how awful the smell is. Its a Long Distance with no way to divert it. Reporter plymouth town manager is now in the middle of a 3 to 4 Million Dollar temporary fix. The biggest frustration, there is no back up to the line. If theres a break, halfway through it or any point, theres no way to divert the flow. Reporter the crews showed us the broken 30 inch line, this he believe the system designed air pocket kets which led to a corrosion process sofrjtsz in areas where the pipe isnt full, theres a gap between the flow and the surface. Heres the latest, checking with the Utility Companies and checking with nena all morning, and there is more than 47,000 impacted during eastern mass. Thats when the snow was the heaviest. Taking out power lines in the process. And similar in hingham, where a tree across the road on newbury street. The power lines the cause of that fall. There were scenes like that all day yesterday. Continuing snowfall for much of the day yesterday, also not helping utility crews working to get the pow wither back on. This truck crashed into a guardrail in groton. Dangerous conditions for the crews too. Blair sadly causing a one little girl killed this morning, hit by a tree that fell. Because, again, it was during yesterdays snowstorm when this tragedy happened. She was running out, daddy lets go make a snow man. I ran at it, tried to lift her out of there, and almost couldnt. Reporter a neighbor heard kaileys father screaming and ran to help. They were able to pull her from under that branch. And the neighbor then performed cpr until police and fire arrived. They were shovelling, so they heard my dad screaming so they came out and right over. They were over here in a snap. Reporter kailey was unconscious and in critical condition. She was rushed to the hospital. But died less than five hours later. Her family now grieving the loss of this little girl. Shes six. And this is very traumatic for my family. Reporter just such a heartbreaking story. Her brother, her father, and a her from under that branch. And then the neighbor pulled cpr until police and fire arrived. Running out, just saying, oh, daddy, lets go make a snow man. The next thing i know, a tree broke and fell on her. And him and i just ran at it. Try to lift her out of there. And almost couldnt. Reporter and that was kaileys brother who spoke with us after the tragedy. Hospital. She was unconscious. And she was in critical condition. But unfortunately, she died less than five hours later. And this morning, that message still just as important, canton fire and police saying that this snow is still causing tree limbs to fall and power lines to fall. In yarmouth, this is amazing, people able to walk away from the fiery crash. This was a Cape Cod Transit Authority bus, it was hit straight on by a driver that was speeding out of control. Look at this video outside of wareham, a truck plow on front of it, did a nose dive off a cliff luckily got caught on a tree kept it from going over. The military truck called in to tow it back to safety. Incredibly in each of these instances no one was hurt. The man killed was a graduate person is hit who is from massachusetts and now in the hospital. Fell across the road on newbury street. The power lines also a casualty of that fall. It was scenes like this one, seen all over the state yesterday. And the continues snowfall for much of the day yesterday. Also, not helping utility crews while theyre trying to get the power back on for everyone. Take a look at this National Grid truck crashed into a guardrail on george hill road in grafton. So even creating problems for the guys trying to restore power for all of us. Blair sadly the storm caused a tragedy in canton. A little girl hit by a tree that fell. Heather it happened in canton, that 6yearold was playing in her yard in the snow when this happened. Fox 25 Stephanie Coueignoux is live in canton this morning. And i know that canton Emergency Responders have a warning for people in light of all of this. Reporter well, the sun is up and the sky is clear, but theyre urging everyone just to be very careful if youre headed youre going to work, if youre going shopping, wherever you are. And this is why. Taking a look right here behind me. This storm has passed. But you can see that very heavy snow weighing down these branches. And this really continues to be a danger this morning. The it was during yesterdays snowstorm when that tragedy happened. She was running out. She was like, oh, daddy, lets go make a snow man. Reporter 6yearold kailey kenyan was outside playing with her father when a tree branch 30 feet above them broke off. Her brother was also outside. The next thing i know, a tree broke and fell on her. And i him and i just ran at it, trying to lift her out of there. And almost couldnt. Reporter a neighbor heard kaileys father screaming and ran to helpful they were able to pull her from under that branch. And the neighbor then performed cpr until police and fire arrived. Heard my dad screaming. They just came running out and right over. They were over here in a snap. Reporter kailey was unconscious and in critical condition. She was rushed to the hospital. But died less than five hours later. Her family now grieving the loss of this little girl. Shes six. And this is very traumatic for my family. Reporter just such a heartbreaking story for that family. And as weve been reporting all morning long, were continuing to see those issues with downed branches. A little girl is dead, hit by a tree limb that apparently fell. That 6yearold was playing in the snow in her own backyard when this happened. Now, she was rushed to the hospital. She was unconscious, and in critical condition. Just about five hours later, she died from her injuries. Just so sad. But, again, downed power lines, downed tree limbs continue to be Major Concerns for both fire and police. This morning, were getting a closer look at more of the take a look at this image from concord, you can see yellow tape there blocking off a scene after a tree landed dangerously close to that home. Fortunately, it doesnt look like it hit the roof of that home. To yarmouth where three people were able to walk away from this fiery crash. This is incredible. It was a Cape Cod Transit Authority bus. It was hit head on by a speeding driver who lost control. Fortunately, everyone on board that bus managed to get off before it burst into flames. Look at how charred the inside of that bus were. Fortunate that everybody got out in time. Take a look at this video out of wareham, a truck with a plow on the front, did a nose dive off of a cliff. Luckily caught on a tree which stopped it from going further. A military truck there was called in to tow it back to safety. Incredibly no one was hurt in any of these instances. Blair time now 8 05. And the new storm pushed the repairs back even further. People who live in that area, tell us, that it is the third time theyve been forced to live in such filthy conditions. There was a huge gush of water coming right in front of the house on both sides of the reporter jackie woke up sunday morning, not knowing what was coming out of her street. Theres a break halfway no way to divert the flow. Reporter showed us the broken 30 inch line. They believe the system designed air pockets which led to a corrosion process. So in areas where the pipe is in full, theres this gap between the flow and the surface. And we believe that chemicals in that area corroded the cement lining. Reporter while the half mile bypass line is installed the truck is trucking all of its wastewater. Loud and obnoxious. Reporter the town plans to scrutinize the initial product which was built only 15 years ago. There will be a lot of conversations about what couldve been done differently. The totals here, shrewsbury 10. 8, north chelmsford, 9. 5, tewksbury at 7 and a half. Lexington checked in with 7. And west newton there at 6. 5 inches of snow. How did that compare to our season totals . Well, with he got off to a very quiet start. December, obviously, very mild. January didnt get near the totals we shouldve. February, we typically get 11 inches. So weve already well over half of our february storm in just one storm. We could easily catch up and break even here over the next several days if we could get a few more systems through and they are in our forecast. Take a look at the temperatures, though, thats the big story right now. Were running 7 to 15 degrees colder than we were yesterday at this time. I have 14 in norwood despite sunny skies. And the continuing snowfall for much of the day yesterday, not helping utility crews trying to get everywhere they could to turn the power back on for people. This National Grid truck crashing into a guardrail on blair heartbreaking story this morning. A tragedy in one community. A young girl dead after getting hit by a tree limb that fell on her. She was like, oh, daddy, hes will go make a snowman. Reporter 6yearold Kaleigh Kenyon was outside playing with her father when a tree branch 30 the next thing i know, a tree broke and fell on her. And him and i just ran at it. Tried to lift her out of there. And almost couldnt. Reporter a neighbor heard kaleighs father screaming and ran to helpful they were able to pull her from under that branch. And the neighbor then performed cpr until police and fire arrived. They were shovelling and she heard my dad screaming so they came running out and over. They were over here in a snap. Reporter kailey was unconscious and in critical condition. She was rushed to the hospital but died less than five hours later. Her family now grieving the loss of this little girl. Shes six. And this is very traumatic for my family. The guidelines urge anyone who has traveled to an impacted area the cdc says mosquitos are still the main threat and is warning travellers to stay away from 30 countries where zika is spreading fast. The good news here, no one was hurt. This crash has set down parts of mile hill road in westminster. Thats right at one entrance to wachusett ski area. It looks like the car took out a pole. Her brother, her father, and a neighbor, this he, again, rushed to helpful now, they were able to pull her from that branch. And then the neighbor performed the. Running out and she was like, snowman. And then the next thing i know, a tree broke and fell on her. And him and i just ran at it. Tried to lift her out of there. And almost couldnt. Reporter and that was kaleighs brother speaking to us after that tragedy. Now, she was unconscious at the time. She was rushed to the hospital. But then later died just about five hours later. Again, this morning, the storm has passed, but those concerns continue. Again, all morning long, weve been reporting about downed tree limbs. As well as power lines. And that is why both police and fire are just urging everyone, reminding them, to be careful when stepping outside. In cant top, im Stephanie Coueignoux, fox 25 news. Take a look at this from concord, yellow tape blocking off a scene after a tree landed dangerously close to that house. It doesnt look like it actually went through the roof of the house, fortunately. In yarmouth, three people were able to walk away from the fiery crash. Take a look at this. Police say it was a Cape Cod Transit Authority bus that was hit head on by a speeding driver who lost control. Everyone on board managed to get into flames. You can see the inside completely charred. Take a look at this video out of wareham a truck with a plow on front the of it nose dived off of a cliff. Luckily it caught on a tree kept it from going stew far. A military truck had to be called in to tow it back to safety. Inebconsiderly in none of these incidents, anyone was hurt. Thats good news. The man killed it was a harvard graduate. Were also learning another person hurt is from massachusetts and now in the hospital. This morning, the cause of the accident is under investigation. Officials say at the time of the collapse, the crane was being lowered because of high winds. As we get more information on the people involved, we of course will update you. So still going to take another hour or two before we start to see the roads improving. You see at 1 00 there in ipswich today. Go out to worcester where temperatures are a little colder with that 12 inches of snow on the ground, its going to be a chilly day out there. But bright skies high clouds moving in. Blair the cdc new interim guidelines focus on trying to stop the spread of zika through sexual transmission. One case of that kind of transmission was confirmed this week in texas. The guidelines urge anyone traveled to an infected area to use condoms a than get tested. Cdc says mosquitos till the main threat and warning travelers to stay away from 30 countries where zika is spreading fast. Heather researchers say teens could be vulnerable to whooping cough and could be due to a change in vaccine. The vaccine is only moderately effective for a year. And then little immunity after two or three years. Whooping cough cases are climbed steadily in the u. S. Since a weaker vaccine was introduced in the 90s.
