Natick police confirming that one of those three men and they didnt know each other by the way, they just happened to be coming out of the same store, has in fact died. Two of the men in his 70s, one in his 40s, we do not know which age group it the descendent. Ill show you whats happening right now. Police telling us that the driver was an elderly woman, she reasons unknown, plowed her car in to three people coming out of Harbor Freight tools an one witness tells us, that it seemed like she was going fast. The woman came in here, she must have been doing 50 miles per hour, through the parking lot, hit a curb, hit a couple of the customers coming out of Harbor Freight, and then the car was lodged into over there on the corner of the building. Weve been hearing the same from witnesses it was a high rate of speed. What that means, we dont know right now. Definitely a high rate of speed for a parking lot. Because you see were in a parking lot. The reporter now were also told that one of the people who was injured was a lumus truck driver, the armored car people. We do not know again which person was actually killed. The driver was also injured, though were told not quite as badly as those that she hit. Elizabeth fox 25 investigates is learning more about Brockton School employees that got free or nominal after school care. Those employees now have to pay up to 10,000 in restitution. Kerry kavanaugh joins us live with the reason the School District says their employees had no idea that they were doing anything wrong. The reporter fox 25 has been following this investigation since the summer. Families needing after school up to 640 a month for brockton after School Program but according to a state review of the program, some employees were getting day care discounts. Discounts they didnt qualify for. The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and care conducted a review of the Brockton Schools smart start extended day program. It began last summer after allegations surfaced of district employees getting free or reduced afterschool day care. Fox 25 investigates obtained the results of that review, that show four bps employees an one former employee didnt pay their fair share. The state audit shows some received credits, others made no tuition payments for weeks. It added up to nearly 10,000, the families now need to pay back. The vice chair of the Brockton School Committee Told us its their understanding that the employees were unaware of any impropriety and it was in fact the former administrator of the program that gave the employees Bad Information about the actual cost of the day care. Though the brockton Public Schools extended day policy handbook for 2014 and 2015 includes the weekly tuition rates. Superintendent Kathleen Smith said the district employees thought they were receiving scholarships. In harn emailed statement, smith says an administrator, who has since been terminated, offered unsanctioned day care to the families tanking part in the program. The School District submitted to the state an action plan to address a plan to reduce abuse of the reduced dare care. The same sort of egyptian bath towel found on bortner was at his home. Identical electric cords were located at that address also. Julian and Shannon Squires were charged yesterday for lying to investigators. Now both are charged with helping to get rid of the body with owens. The d. A.
