charlie baker telling us, he's against opening up massachusetts borders to syrian refugees, at least for now. >> no, i'm not interested in accepting refugees from syria. i would need to know a lot that? >> i think it's important to have very tough vetting standards before we let people come in to the united states. >> senator ed markey, who leaves for paris in three weeks to attend a global climate change summit wouldn't say he's posed to refugees coming here, but did say he believed the background check process needs to be reviewed. >> after what has just happened in paris, we have to reexamine the vetting program. >> we caught up with congressman bill keating at logan airport. he sits on the homeland security committee and tells us before the u.s. accepts syrian refugees, questions need to be answered as to how european countries will tighten up travel. >> those people can come to the u.s. and present a threat. we do it routinely here. when someone has a reservation, it's cross-referenced against terrorist lists and other lists and security. they're not doing that in every country in europe. >> and tonight, congressman steven lynch told us he believes the governor's cautious approach is entirely appropriate, for the situation. we also talked to mayor marty walsh and he is saying, he does want to know some more information regarding the federal and not the end of the cold weather either. >> mark: i can bring news, investigators going building to building searching for explosives at harvard university and within the last 15 minutes, the last of four buildings shutdown by the threat have been reopened. >> elizabeth: it was a tense situation there on campus today though. fox 25's heather hegedus is live hat harvard where heavy armored vehicles were spotted. difference seen earlier today, all four buildings affected have now been reopened, that just within the last 15 minutes. university saying the buildings were "thoroughly searched and determined to be safe" and nothing to substantiate the threat was found. still, as you can imagine, these kinds of threats are always taken serious will you, but especially right now because of >> we need -- took us out and sort of brought us outside of the yard. >> the reporter: lacey is one of many students who was quickly rushed out of the iconic harvard yard today after a bomb threat campus buildings. the school's science center, sever and emmerson house which house clams classrooms and thayer all, a dorm. bomb sniffing dogs alongside federal authorities, spent hours buildings. >> there are protective officers that go in with the bomb sniffing dogs to do the search. >> spokes people tell us the threats have striking similarities to another bomb threat made on campus in december of 2013 in the midst of fall semester finals. the same four buildings were mentioned in that threat. it was later determined to be unfounded, hand the students who admitted to sending it was later charged. still, with the events in paris, both police and students admit, they're a bit more on guard. >> if paris had not happened, i would have brushed it off. >> police believe capitalizing on that fear might have been the motive here. i think there is what took place and the heightened concern that people have, that somebody took this as an opportunity to lodge a threat. again, i'm not dismissing the threat. >> the reporter: so police tell me the email address the threat came from was not a harvard email, they are still investigating who might be responsible, but i want to let you know that there was another bomb threat made here in cambridge as well, one target the cambridge public school system, police looked into that, they didn't find anything, hand those schools opened as normal. they don't think that that was connected to what happened here at harvard, because that threat was made on a blog. reporting live in cambridge tonight, heather hegedus, fox and local police swept the building and say the situation was resolved. >> elizabeth: the f.b.i. and police are trying to track down the car and man seen in this surveillance image. investigators think that he stole a bunch of weapons from a worcester armory, including assault rifles. fox 25 news's christen mccarthy is live in worcester where the concern is from detectives here. >> the reporter: the threat, elizabeth, and worcester police tell us that they will be stepping up their patrols for the time of course, in certain key arias of the city. they say, this is just a precaution, but it's certainly a welcome one, because many people that we talked to in this area say they're concerned that these high caliber weapons are still unaccounted for. >> i'm especially concerned about. surrounded by barbed wire, this u.s. army reserve facility say the lincoln stoddard armory was the site of a break in saturday night. the crime has local, state around federal law enforcement investigating and the governor worried. >> i'm just concerned about the fact that some really high caliber weapons were stolen from a military facility in the first place. i mean, that's my primary concern. >> we learned the weapons are guns like these, six m4 assault rifles and 10m11.9-millimeter handguns. surveillance images obtained by fox 25 show an unknown male suspect 2e scene in a dark 25. >> mark: patriots victory over the new york giants, came with a bad break. one of tom brady's favorite targets broke a bone in his foot. julian edelman had surgery on that newt today. >> it's a surgery that requires up to eight weeks of recovery. the patriots are hopeful that julian edelman can return for the post-season but it's going to be tight. the post-season is just nine weeks away. julian edelman suffered a fracture in the bone that leads to the smallest toe in his left foot, the fifth metatarsal as it's officially called. it required surgery, surgery took place today. typically being hit by a car in an overnight crash in ashland. it happened early this morning at the intersection of route 135 and indian spring road. sky fox over the scene earlier today. police have not released the identity of the victim, but they say he is in his late 40's or early 50's. the driver of that box truck that hit him did stay on the scene. so far, no charges have been filed. >> mark: 19-year-old man shot in revere is still in the hospital and sources tell fox 25 it was a road rage incident. revere police say two people shot 10 to 12 times at the man and his father on route 60 last night. officers did not say what may have led up to the shoot, but safe the suspect's car is a the rockport man who was shot is currently in stable condition at mass general. there have been no arrests. office is investigating the death of an infant. officials safe the 11-month-old boy was taken from his home friday on fowler river road in alexandria with unspecified injuries. the boy then died on sunday, and the union leader reports the case is being called suspicious. an autopsy is expected tomorrow, but officials aren't saying anything else about the investigation. >> elizabeth: a new hampshire woman is pushing for change to animal abuse laws. in september, a berlin man shot and killed his dog bruno after the dog bit his children. right now, bruno's death is considered a gray area under hampshire. well, a conway woman says that shooting should be considered a felony, and started a petition. she says the man had options other than killing the dog. a letter has been sent to the great play by ryan. >> governor baker is planning to discussion today. this is video from the hearing. the bill would restrict patients to a three day supply of they're he prescribed an opioid. bomb scare there. this afternoon an email threat plead to the evacuation of the science center, eller son, sever the f.b.i. and joint terrorism task force was called in. no one was found and the all clear was given at 5:30 p.m. no arrests. 6m4 assault rifles and ten handguns were stolen from the u.s. army reserve armory in worcester. the f.b.i. as well as local law enforcement are investigating. man, shot during the attacks. a man's 34-year-old son arnow is unable to speak. he was shot in the chest when gunmen stormed the concert hall. he is expected to slowly return to full consciousness as sedatives set in. arnow's father spoke about the difficulty of finding his son after the attack. >> we basically had to call every hospital in paris. it was chaos and they were taking people to lots who survived the paris attacks by pretending to be dead. 22-year-old isabella posted this facebook. she survived the shootings by playing dead for more than an hour. a stranger used his body to shield afternoon for a high temperature. again, right at the coastline, in downtown boston, may touch 50 degrees, but the back bay and fenway area staying in the upper 40's. high temperatures tomorrow afternoon to the north here, in middlesex county and southern new hampshire also staying in the counties. haverhill to amesbury, 49 degrees tomorrow afternoon. so a chilly dave to be sure, but the seven day forcats shows those cold temperatures next couple of mornings in the 20's. by thursday, a 70% chance for our next chance for rain, i'm expecting a front to push toward us on thursday. there's been indication it will be really slow and produce a lot of heavy rain here. heavy downpours along this front, but the latest indications are 24 will come through as a front but should get out
