robert goulston, fox 25 news. >> mark: developing tonight, police are estimate working to come up with a motive for deadly attacks on two iowa police officers. both of these men were shot and killed without warning while they sat in their cars overnight and this is the suspect. scott michael green, he control room with the names of the fallen heroes and the suspect's criminal past. >> the reporter: you know, mark, police in des moines now say the officers had no idea they were in any danger. neither called for help before being gunned down as they sat in their cruisers. the shootings happened just 20 minutes apart, and took place two miles away from each other than. just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, their killer approached one police officer at an intersection, fired 15 to 30 shots inside a car and j had been killed, the second officer was gunned down. these are the victims, officer justin martin of the urban dale police department, he was single and had been on the job for about a year. and sergeant tony baminio, married father who had worked if des moines for the last 11 years. right now, investigators are struggling to understand why this happened. >> well, it was a puzzling thing about this, is that he didn't get out any idea there was any it was basically stopped, going to proceed through an intersection when he got confronted by this gunman. >> the reporter: the suspect, scott michael green, has a history with police. he was arrested twice in 2014, and last month, officers had to remove him from a high school after he displayed a confederate flag during the national anthem at a football game. greene is still being questioned. so far, not been charged with the shootings. coming up at 6:00 p.m., reaction to l have to it tragedy. in the control room, bob ward, fox 25 news. >> vanessa: new at 5:00 p.m., an s.u.v. burst into flames when a driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer. this happened off baldwin street in leister this afternoon and police tweeted this picture about 30 minutes ago. officers say he hit a free before the car caught fire. the driver was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. it took a 7-year-old woman in sterling just three minutes to untie herself and call police after she was robbed inside her home. the attack to 911 dispatchers. >> i have been robbed by three men, an they have taken off with my 2004 black deville. they're probably heading for an expressway, i don't know, but they haven't been gone long. >> vanessa: she sounds so calm there. the victim's car was recovered during our 5:00 p.m. reached 70 degrees, but we are tracking showers, fox 25 storm tracker chief meteorologist kevin lemanowicz here now with how the rain will impact your thursday. kevin. >> kevin: it will impact your thursday. there are some showers coming our way, mark, postally later on in the day. we're going to talk with that timeline it just a few minutes. we need to talk about this first. 70 degrees if thousands of emergencies each year, but tonight, chelsea firefighters tell fox 25, they need more staffing to keep temperature and th blair, you've been taking their concerns to the city. >> the reporter: the city agrees, this is a problem. firefighters gave me several examples where they've had trouble responding to calls for him, because they didn't have enough people and they worry it's just a matter of time until it leads to serious consequences. it's one of the busiest engine companies in the country per capita. but at chelsea fire central station, firefighters tell fox 25, there's serious concern. >> we haven't seen an increase in staffing for quite some time. getting a commitment from the city. union president points to this fire in 2014, that he says should have led to change. it was a five alarm fire, when six homes went up in flames. but deputy fire chief says there weren't enough resources to fight all of the house firings. >> we just didn't have the manpower to fight the fire in that house, and i refer, the owner coming up to me and he is panicking, my house is burning and i said, as soon as i have somebody do what we can. >> the reporter: but it's still a problem and something that's even been pointed out in recent studies, suggesting ways to increase staffing. today, city manager tom abisino, he agrees, more firefighters are needed. he's already adding two more in the spring of next year and hopes for more in future budgets and grants, but that's still years away. frustrating for capistrand who at risk. >> we've been lucky here. it's only a matter of time before the luck runs out. hopefully a civilian doesn't lose his or her life. >> the reporter: the city manager also said ideally, he would like to have eight more firefighters on the staff today. he says, he's trying to address this and work in more firefighters into each budget year, going forward, the firefighters say as that city grows, the need for more firefighters grows with out here, has two different front, the warm front and the cold front. let's go down c by the way, the showers missing progressive field right now. this is going to come toward new england, but notice the trajectory of this, it's moving through upstate new york and going to come right along the massachusetts-new hampshire border and points north of there. so overnight tonight, we are staying drive, just some clouds, but a couple of showers trying to come by on that path during the early morning hours. and again, along massachusetts-new hampshire border, most of the showers are going to the north, but notice the clouds hugging that border, it is very likely some clouds cooler north of the pike tomorrow afternoon, while the mildest temperatures will be south of the pike and especially in southeastern massachusetts, behind the warm front in the warmer air and the more humid air. notice the heavy rain too. if you're driving up this way tomorrow, you'll hit the heaviest rain from the system. the cold front is back here, that's going to slide through in the afternoon. notice the showers into the monadnocks and worcester county through 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., the showers come through worcester and boston and sliding finally out of here. this takes us to late tomorrow night and early friday morning an we are clearing out, we are drying up. looking pretty nice on friday, most of these clouds will go away. we'll be back to sunshine. high temperatures tomorrow are going to be coolest to the north, notice the rick of rain in all place, coolest to the north with temperatures in the 50's here, right along 60 along the massachusetts-new hampshire border in worcester county, into the 60's, well into 60's in the south shore. lower 60's on cape cod. so really depends on where you're going. the warmer temperatures will be to the south. you know this is a shower threat on thursday, back to sunshine on friday, but then into saturday, we are sunny and really some clouds start to work in in the afternoon. you'll see that here on futurecast. start the day with sunshine, friday night to saturday morning. there's the sun. notice it happening to our north. these are snowflakes working their way southward saturday morning, there's a little disturbance that's going to be swinging our way. what that means to you, you're going to see more clouds and the risk of a shower, particularly on sunday, with you notice the elevation, squeezing oua afternoon, we'll watch this continue to drift on southward through the day saturday, and watch for another batch to come on through on sunday. also, remember, we are falling back an hour of extra sleep sunday morning in the very chilly air that will be here. we stay cool into monday but then a warmup starts to game pemi. investigators say there was no information that chapellee used his brakes before hitting a corner and smashing into a bus. chapelle was killed with four baltimore hospital. >> vanessa: the attorney for the georgia man accused of leaving his hot son in a car on purpose called several witnesses today who told jurors he was a loving father. justin harris is accused of intentionally leaving his 22-month-old son cooper strapped into his car seat for more than seven hours. his coworker told the jury the day cooper died harris was talking to about planning a birthday party. they say harris was a loving pornography. a lawsuit has been filed for the victims of an apartment explosion in maryland that killed seven people. that explosion followed by a fire happened on august 10th in silver spring. the fire was caused by a gas explosion in a meter room. more than 30 people were treated for injuries and dozens are suffering from ptsd. the lawsuit is against the apartment's utility company, washington gas. >> mark: deadly explosion at a gas pipeline in the southeast is causing gas prices to go up. the average price for regular georgia and nearly 2 cents in south carolina. carolina. officials expect prices to continue increasing. colonial pipeline exploded monday, killing one person. a construction crew hit the line with a piece of heavy equipment. the pipeline runs from texas to new jersey. and more details now. congressman steven lynch wants construction on a proposed natural gas pipelines in west roxbury and weymouth to stop immediately. he says a pipeline needles near this camp. >> yeah, i was standing right heir and my friend was right there. >> the reporter: she is only 12 years old, but knows a needle on the ground is a dangerous thing. >> i've seen them before. i just know not to go near them, because i know it's not a good pleasant thing people do around here. it's bad. the needles, yes, i was very angry. >> the reporter: richard snapped these pictures and carefully removed the syringes from his daughter's park. monk is a member of operation arch angels, a group of concerned brockton residents, trying to clean up their town. >> we actually encountered one who actually had the needle in his arm. harry green is the founder of the arch angels. twice a week, his team straps on their belts and goes to work fighting brockton's heroin problem. it's a scary line of work. the act, they don't care, they're enjoying the high. >> the reporter: green says his team tries to deter heroin addicts from shooting up near parks around schools. the angels even carry the life-saving drug narcan in case they encounter someone who has overdosed. >> are you qualified for that. >> anybody can use it. they give you a quick crash course in it. it takes about two minutes. >> the reporter: greene says they received encouragement from police officers, but also been warned what they've been doing can get themselves and others hurt. richar he just wants the addicts to pick up their dirty needlessism e. if my daughter can find them, anyone can find them. >> the reporter: we wanted to know how the police department and city of brockton felt about the group, so we reached out to brockton's mayor, bill carpenter, and were told he had no comment for the story. >> mark: we have more details tonight. fox 25 reported on dirty needles reported near barrett elementary school in brockton. we brought concerns from the parents to the mayor at the time. workers would sweep the school every morning to keep the students safe. >> vanessa: hope you got it's not dropping like other places. the only other place i'm finding a 70 is somerville. 70 degrees just outside the city of boston. overhead, there have been clouds that drifted in. you can see the grading in here, offshore better too. so clouds overhead, mixing with off to the west, our next weathermaker and showers out here, drifting just north of cleveland, right over here on the lake, this is lake erie, drifting right into western new york, so buffalo, new york, and coming toward new england. that's our next shower batch. we're going to track this in here overnight and through the day tomorrow. expect some showers spotty at first, but they will become heavier as the day wears on and where the temperatures are actually going to stay cooler tomorrow, because it won't be in the warm sector, or warm part of this air past coming on in. i'll show you that and the cool air behind these showers for minutes. >> mark: two friends were trying to catch a bus when they were hit by a truck in woburn and police are pulling surveillance video as they continue their investigation. police say the 71-year-old man and 67-year-old woman were trying to catch the bus in front of city hall around 7:00 p.m. last night. they were in the crosswalk when a septic truck ran in to them. the driver did stay on scene. both victims were told have serious injuries. >> vanessa: firefighters helped rescue a construction worker who became trapped after falling near the long fellow bridge in boston fire says the man was taken to a nearby hospital, but they don't know how serious his injuries are. we have reached out for more details on his condition. >> mark: the driver was trapped in his car, following a rollover on 128 if randolph overnight. it happened near exit 5 on the northbound lanes. you can see the car rolled over and came to rest on top of a guardrail. the driver was trapped, but conscious. crews used the jaws of life to get him out. >> vanessa: crews in westford spent the day cleaning up the site flammable materials. fox 25's michael heinrich reports. >> the reporter: off the tracks for the second time since 2014, a pan am railways train derailed in westford. this time, the fire department says, six cars went off the tracks tuesday night, around 8:30 p.m., including a tank filled with hazardous materials. setting off concerns from possible evacuation. >> it's the second time. so don't you think they should do something about it? especially were the families around here and small children. that's my concern. westford firefighters say thankfully, no evacuation was needed. the tank did not end up leaking. >> the fortunate thing was, we had no environmental impact at all. >> the reporter: from there, the focus turned to making sure the situation stayed that way. crews working for safely clear the damaged tracks. the fire department tells fox 25, pan am railways will lead the investigation into what caused this latest derailment. but the cleanup will be more than physical. town selectmen don seriani says he wants answers. >> it is intolerable, because in the middle of the night, you don't ever want to get that call that says, be prepared to leave your home. pan am has to respond and let my neighbors, my constituents know, why this happened and what they never happens again. >> the reporter: in westford, michael heinrich, fox 25 news. >> mark: the driver of a utility truck caused a fiery pileup on 495 in middleborough. the truck driver hit the car in front of him, causing that car to rollover and catch fire. three other cars were hit in the process. the driver of the utility truck was cited for operating to endanger. >> vanessa: the susan g. komen operation is looking for runners to raise money ahead of the boston marathon. the southern new england chapter is accepting applications for a team of the group will be fund raising for breast cancer awareness and research. applications are due november 16th. all runners will be notified by don't know her husband was planning the attack at the pulse night club. she describes him as a man who beat her often and lived his life in secret. prosecutors are considering carriaging her because she was with mateen when he scouted the club before the shooting, in which mateen killed 49 people and hurt dozens more. one of the biggest gunmakers in america is crediting the presidential election for jumped 66% from the same time last year. gun control is a major difference between donald trump and hillary clinton. if clinton wins, she hopes to reinstate a ban on assault weapons. trump opposes going to help needy babies. this is also going to help moms. in the past, if moms wanted to donate breast milk, they would have to send it via fedex in a temperature-controlled box or drive to newton and drop it off at the bank. now they can come right here to south shore hospital. it won't just serve the babies. it's going to help all the moms and the prescreened donors who have more direct milk than their it's stored and then shipped to the milk bank. the milk bank screens, pasturizes and tests the donated milk and dispenses it primarily to hospitals, who serve it to sick or premature babies. although private moms can m.v.p. it, it is the -- purchase it, it is the hospitals that need it the most. >> donor milk can be life saving and prevent very serious complications, like a disease that can essentially kill a baby. a premature baby and reduces the incidence of nec by about 80%. >> the reporter: mothers milk banks serves about 70 hospitals and ten states, and this is only today. i've been watching off to the west and there are some rainshowers in here, an they're pushing our way. this actually is the warm front part of the system coming at us, it's going to go mostly to our north, but the warm front part of the system is just the start of our issues. it's going to draw in the cold front here, you can see what we're talking about. back to the western part, western flank of this system is where the cold front is located, it's drawing an arrow instead. who knew. bottom line is the warm front comes first and then the cold front. the showers have been kind of coming like this, just a slight northeasterly jog, which means, most of the shower activity, at least initially from the warm front is going to stay north of massachusetts. doesn't mean you can't get a couple of these showers to be rogue and make it into southern new england, but most will go through northern and central new england. all of it missing cleveland. i'm keeping it dry for first pitch, 65 degrees out there if rocking, you know that and it's right here on news news, we'll watch for any rainshowers that come in later in the ballgame. get it done fairly quickly. i would like that so i get home earlier, but also, because the rainshowers would stay away as well. as far as temperatures for your dinner plans, 64 if boston. 71 still, still in norwood. 66 in bedford. i think we need to kick that sensor, see if it will go down. here come the rainshowers, a couple of rogue showers, you saw it's going to happen as you're sleeping anyway. during the morning drive, watch how the -- we worcester county getting showers. some of these look like t futurecast is noting with brighter colors, i agree with that. slides through boston during the 4:00 p.m. hour, so the start of your evening drive could be wet in boston and south shore, but it looks like it will be faster and get on out of here for the bulk of the evening drive. a few scattered showers around but not the heaviest rain. that would certainly help us out a little bit. we'll clear things out overnight and early friday morning, wake up with a mixture of sun and clouds. clouds disappear through the morning on friday and that's going to be the trend here with this takes you into the afternoon friday and we're right back to sunshine, sticking with us much of the day friday afternoon. so just a few clouds early on. temperatures tomorrow with that rain threat moving in, warmest to the south away from the water. out there on the cape, low 60's. south shore, upper 60's. the north and west is where the front is real close by, the warm front, that's where we stay in the upper 50's to 60 degrees. seven-day forecast shows that rain threat and behind the rain, cooler temperatures moving in this weekend. i upped the speaking to fox 25's bob ward and bob joins us now and this profiler is giving you some excellent insight into the type of person who could have done this? >> the reporter: in central massachusetts, it's the question on everyone's mind, who killed vanessa marquette. vanessa was jogging in princeton when her body found in woods just a half mile away from her mother's home. now, law enforcement bikes. we didn't have helmets when we were growing up. it happened to all of us and we didn't all turn out this way. >> the reporter: and we're expected to hear from witnesses in this case. straight ahead at 6:00 p.m., we're going to have a little bit more about what the government says sampson did while he was serving time that makes him even dangerous while in custody. we are live if boston, robert goulston, fox 25 news. >> mark: developing tonight, police are estimate working to come up with a motive for deadly attacks on two iowa police officers. both of these men were shot and killed without warning while they sat in their cars overnight and this is the suspect. scott michael green, he control room with the names of the fallen heroes and the suspect's criminal past. >> the reporter: you know, mark, police in des moines now say the officers had no idea they were in any danger. neither called for help before being gunned down as they sat in their cruisers. the shootings happened just 20 minutes apart, and took place two miles away from each other than. just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, their killer approached one police officer at an intersection, fired 15 to 30 shots inside a car and j had been killed, the second officer was gunned down. these are the victims, officer justin martin of the urban dale police department, he was single and had been on the job for about a year. and sergeant tony baminio, married father who had worked if des moines for the last 11 years. right now, investigators are struggling to understand why this happened. >> well, it was a puzzling thing about this, is that he didn't get out any idea there was any it was basically stopped, going to proceed through an intersection when he got confronted by this gunman. >> the reporter: the suspect, scott michael green, has a history with police. he was arrested twice in 2014, and last month, officers had to remove him from a high school after he displayed a confederate flag during the national anthem at a football game. greene is still being questioned. so far, not been charged with the shootings. coming up at 6:00 p.m., reaction to l have to it tragedy. in the control room, bob ward, fox 25 news. >> vanessa: new at 5:00 p.m., an s.u.v. burst into flames when a driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer. this happened off baldwin street in leister this afternoon and police tweeted this picture about 30 minutes ago. officers say he hit a free before the car caught fire. the driver was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. it took a 7-year-old woman in sterling just three minutes to untie herself and call police after she was robbed inside her home. the attack to 911 dispatchers. >> i have been robbed by three men, an they have taken off with my 2004 black deville. they're probably heading for an expressway, i don't know, but they haven't been gone long. >> vanessa: she sounds so calm there. the victim's car was recovered during our 5:00 p.m. thursday. there are some showers coming our way, mark, postally later on in the day. we're going to talk with that timeline it just a few minutes. we need to talk about this first. 70 degrees if thousands of emergencies each year, but tonight, chelsea firefighters tell fox 25, they need more staffing to keep temperature and th blair, you've been taking their concerns to the city. >> the reporter: the city agrees, this is a problem. firefighters gave me several examples where they've had trouble responding to calls for him, because they didn't have enough people and they worry it's just a matter of time until it leads to serious consequences. it's one of the busiest engine companies in the country per capita. but at chelsea fire central station, firefighters tell fox 25, there's serious concern. >> we haven't seen an increase in staffing for quite some time. getting a commitment from the city. union president points to this fire in 2014, that he says should have led to change. it was a five alarm fire, when six homes went up in flames. but deputy fire chief says there weren't enough resources to fight all of the house firings. >> we just didn't have the manpower to fight the fire in that house, and i refer, the owner coming up to me and he is panicking, my house is burning and i said, as soon as i have somebody do what we can. >> the reporter: but it's still a problem and something that's even been pointed out in recent studies, suggesting ways to increase staffing. today, city manager tom abisino, he agrees, more firefighters are needed. he's already adding two more in the spring of next year and hopes for more in future budgets and grants, but that's still years away. frustrating for capistrand who at risk. >> we've been lucky here. it's only a matter of time before the luck runs out. hopefully a civilian doesn't lose his or her life. >> the reporter: the city manager also said ideally, he would like to have eight more firefighters on the staff today. he says, he's trying to address this and work in more firefighters into each budget year, going forward, the firefighters say as that city grows, the need for more firefighters grows with it. reporting live, blair miller, fox 25 news. michaela: >> vanessa: blair, thank you. so far, so good on the mass pike as crews stay on schedule while they transition all-electronic tolling system. more than half of the 155 toll booths have been taken down. massdot tells us more than five million transactions have been processed since the system went live friday night. the first phase of out here, has two different front, the warm front and the cold front. let's go down c by the way, the showers missing progressive field right now. this is going to come toward new england, but notice the trajectory of this, it's moving through upstate new york and going to come right along the massachusetts-new hampshire border and points north of there. so overnight tonight, we are staying drive, just some clouds, but a couple of showers trying to come by on that path during the early morning hours. and again, along massachusetts-new hampshire border, most of the showers are going to the north, but notice the clouds hugging that border, it is very likely some clouds cooler north of the pike tomorrow afternoon, while the mildest temperatures will be south of the pike and especially in southeastern massachusetts, behind the warm front in the warmer air and the more humid air. notice the heavy rain too. if you're driving up this way tomorrow, you'll hit the heaviest rain from the system. the cold front is back here, that's going to slide through in the afternoon. notice the showers into the monadnocks and worcester county through 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., the showers come through worcester and boston and sliding finally out of here. this takes us to late tomorrow night and early friday morning an we are clearing out, we are drying up. looking pretty nice on friday, depends on where you're going. the warmer temperatures will be to the south. you know this is a shower threat on thursday, back to sunshine on friday, but then into saturday, we are sunny and really them before. i just know not to go near them, because i know it's not a good pleasant thing people do around here. it's bad. the needles, yes, i was very angry. >> the reporter: richard snapped these pictures and carefully removed the syringes from his daughter's park. monk is a member of operation arch angels, a group of concerned brockton residents, trying to clean up their town. >> we actually encountered one who actually had the needle in his arm. harry green is the founder of the arch angels. twice a week, his team straps on their belts and goes to work fighting brockton's heroin problem. it's a scary line of work. the act, they don't care, they're enjoying the high. >> the reporter: green says his team tries to deter heroin addicts from shooting up near parks around schools. the angels even carry the life-saving drug narcan in case they encounter someone who has overdosed. >> are you qualified for that. >> anybody can use it. they give you a quick crash course in it. it takes about two minutes. >> the reporter: greene says they received encouragement from police officers, but also been warned what they've been doing can get themselves and others hurt. richar he just wants is lake erie, drifting right into western new york, so buffalo, new york, and coming toward new england. that's our next shower batch. we're going to track this in here overnight and through the day tomorrow. expect some showers spotty at first, but they will become heavier as the day wears on and where the temperatures are actually going to stay cooler tomorrow, because it won't be in the warm sector, or warm part of this air past coming on in. i'll show you that and the cool air behind these showers for minutes. >> mark: two friends were trying to catch a bus when they were hit by a truck in woburn and police are pulling surveillance video as they continue their investigation. police say the 71-year-old man and 67-year-old woman were trying to catch the bus in front of city hall around 7:00 p.m. last night. they were in the crosswalk when a septic truck ran in to them. the driver did stay on scene. both victims were told have serious injuries. >> vanessa: firefighters helped rescue a construction worker who became trapped after falling near the long fellow bridge in boston fire says the man was taken to a nearby hospital, but they don't know how serious his injuries are. we have reached out for more details on his condition. >> mark: the driver was trapped in his car, following a rollover on 128 if randolph overnight. it happened near exit 5 on the northbound lanes. you can see the car rolled over and came to rest on top of a guardrail. the driver was trapped, but conscious. crews used the jaws of life to get him out. >> vanessa: crews in westford spent the day cleaning up the site flammable materials. fox 25's michael heinrich reports. >> the reporter: off the tracks for the second time since 2014, a pan am railways train derailed in westford. this time, the fire department says, six cars went off the tracks tuesday night, around 8:30 p.m., including a tank filled with hazardous materials. setting off concerns from possible evacuation. >> it's the second time. so don't you think they should do something about it? especially were the families around here and small children. that's my concern. westford firefighters say thankfully, no evacuation was needed. of a utility truck caused a fiery pileup on 495 in middleborough. the truck driver hit the car in front of him, causing that car to rollover and catch fire. three other cars were hit in the process. going to help needy babies. this is also going to help moms. in the past, if moms wanted to donate breast milk, they would have to send it via fedex in a temperature-controlled box or drive to newton and drop it off at the bank. now they can come right here to south shore hospital. it won't just serve the babies. it's going to help all the moms and the prescreened donors who have more direct milk than their it's stored and then shipped to the milk bank. the milk bank screens, pasturizes and tests the donated milk and dispenses it primarily to hospitals, who serve it to sick or premature babies. although private moms can m.v.p. it, it is the -- purchase it, it is the hospitals that need it the most. >> donor milk can be life saving and prevent very serious complications, like a disease that can essentially kill a baby. a premature baby and reduces the incidence of nec by about 80%. >> the reporter: mothers milk banks serves about 70 hospitals and ten states, and this is only today. i've been watching off to the west and there are some rainshowers in here, an they're pushing our way. this actually is the warm front part of the system coming at us, it's going to go mostly to our north, but the warm front part of the system is just the start of our issues. it's going to draw in the cold front here, you can see what we're talking about. back to the western part, western flank of this system is where the cold front is located, it's drawing an arrow instead. who knew. bottom line is the warm front comes first and then the cold front. the showers have been kind of coming like this, just a slight northeasterly jog, which means, most of the shower activity, at least initially from the warm front is going to stay north of massachusetts. doesn't mean you can't get a couple of these showers to be rogue and make it into southern new england, but most will go through northern and central new england. all of it missing cleveland. i'm keeping it dry for first pitch, 65 degrees out there if rocking, you know that and it's right here on news news, we'll watch for any rainshowers that come in later in the ballgame. get it done fairly quickly. i would like that so i get home earlier, but also, because the rainshowers would stay away as well. as far as temperatures for your dinner plans, 64 if boston. 71 still, still in norwood. 66 in bedford. i think we need to kick that sensor, see if it will go down. here come the rainshowers, a couple of rogue showers, you saw it's going to happen as you're sleeping anyway. during the morning drive, watch how the -- we get breaks of sun to come on in here. temperatures generally in the 60's, but right where the warm front is segregate up, may not get the warmest push of air and stay in the upper 50's, but still above average. southeastern massachusetts will be warmest tomorrow afternoon. and then the cold front comes across and that's this right in here as it pushes on through, this takes you to 2:30 p.m., worcester county getting showers. some of these look like t futurecast is noting with brighter colors, i agree with that. slides through boston during the 4:00 p.m. hour, so the start of your evening drive could be wet in boston and south shore, but it looks like it will be faster and get on out of here for the bulk of the evening drive. a few scattered showers around but not the heaviest rain. that would certainly help us out a little bit. we'll clear things out overnight and early friday morning, wake up with a mixture of sun and clouds. clouds disappear through the morning on friday and that's going to be the trend here with this takes you into the afternoon friday and we're right back to sunshine, sticking with us much of the day friday afternoon. so just a few clouds early on. temperatures tomorrow with that rain threat moving in, warmest to the south away from the water. out there on the cape, low 60's. south shore, upper 60's. the north and west is where the front is real close by, the warm front, that's where we stay in the upper 50's to 60 degrees. seven-day forecast shows that rain threat and behind the rain, cooler temperatures moving in this weekend. i upped the
