h realized very quickly, we had workers trapped in the hole. >> the reporter: so as you can see, a very heartbreaking day here in the south end. behind me, out here on dartmouth street, what's taking place is that the workers here are trying to drain out that hole, they're trying to get water out, they're trying to shore up the size of that trench to make it safe so that the bodies of the two workers can be recovered. very, very sad day here if the guys? >> mark: thanks, bob. bob, what are you hearing about the investigation on the scene there? >> the reporter: well, the investigation, boston police have sent their homicide unit here to investigate, they're working with osha. the police commissioner said just because the homicide department is here, that doesn't mean that they believe there's any foul play. they believe this is a tragic accident, not the result of foul play, but the men and women of the homicide unit of the boston police department tools at their disposal. they're going to be spending a long time processing this scene, going through, so they have a clear understanding exactly how and, more importantly, why this took place. >> mark: fox 25's bob ward reporting live from dartmouth and tremont streets for us tonight, the scene of that tragic accident today. the tragic scene is taking place if a very busy part of the city. there were dozens of witnesses and several people rushed to actually help the victims. in this video, you can see at background. he's reaching in to the trench as water flows around him. another man is also standing just boston, you're running into this members. that's some heavy rain, you can see red and orange between hudson and marlboro, coming down very hard, right along route 85 coming through town, and then off to the south of there, it's not just there, but look at all of this heavy rain, southwest of boston, from needham to holliston, worcester county, along the pike through auburn and on route 22, route 20 also getting some heavy rain. south shore, you're not out of it. duxbury, marshfield, heavy rain, just north of plymouth into king ton as well and there's been some out on cape cod as well but kidnapping and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl as she walked to school yesterday. chris flanagan live in lawrence where that man is facing several charges. >> the reporter: yeah he certainly is. angel mateo charged with kidnapping and raping the 13-year-old, but also accused of attacking his neighbor five months ago. that neighbor came forward saw mateo's picture on social media. shackled and in a jail issued white jump suit, 21-year-old angel mateo did not look up once during hsbc arena arraignment if district court. mateo is charged with raping and kidnapping a 13-year-old girl on her way to school yesterday. he was wearing a g.p.s. tracker, because of an impending charge that he black mailed a girlfriend with nude pictures last spring. police say yesterday's kidnapping and rape happened at mateo's apartment on phillips street. court documents show he told with anyone, then said, it was consensual. >> i'm sick about it. you know, i think it's disgusting, and you know, what i don't want is for families and parents to think this is something that can happen to any kid in the city. >> the reporter: the neighbors say, they're outraged by the alleged incident. i think he kidnapping charges yesterday, a 27-year-old neighbor came forward with she saw on social media that he had been arrested. seclaims, -- she claims mateo attacked her at 3:00 a.m. in the morning when she was getting out of her car. she told police then, she struggled to get away but the man was able to get her into a head lock and began tracking her to boxford street. police investigated but an arrest was never made, because the woman says she did not though they are neighbors, so she saw mateo's picture yesterday. again, it took police five months to crack that case, coming up tonight all shooting of a 13-year-old chelsea boy is being held on $100 bail. christian garcia hid behind a door when he was arraigned on charges. juan delgado was shot if his shoulder. he was on the third floor of an apartment building on bellingham street when he was hit. police say garcia is the person shot several fires in the area of the home. three bullets went through the bedroom of his apartment building. this suspect is wanted for questioning for something that happened on saturday, october 8th. police say interest was an wonderland situation and lynn. >> vanessa: a bicyclist was killed in a collision in worcester overnight. police say he was riding his bike on southbridge street when he collide with the back of a parked tow truck. he was rushed to hospital but did not survive. investigators are hoping to look at area surveillance cameras to see if they can find out why the crash happened. two men 0 police say they confessed to blowing up a newspaper box in salem were order today stay away from the area. john gilman and richard plead not guilty to charges, including placing an incendiary device. prosecutors say the pair targeted a box belonging to the rainbow times, an lgbt in august. the surveillance video captured the vandals, putting the explosive device in box before running away. >> mark: we are still waiting to hear what caused this car to smash into a home in massachusetts wants to get to the bottom of potential racial bias in the justice system. chief justice ralph gans is asking harvard to examine the law system. they want to figure out were african-americans and hispanic are locked up at a much hue are rate than whites. the ratio of imprisoned minorities compared to whites is higher in massachusetts than justice tonight want to know why that is. when supreme judicial court justice ralph gans looked at the numbers, he knew something was wrong. last month, the massachusetts sentencing commission found african-americans are locked up eight times the rate of whites. hispanics, nearly five times the number of whites. the commission found the disparity in massachusetts is significantly greater than the national average. >> when i learned that our disparity is greater than the nation as a whole, i thought we of it. gans asked the harvard law school to create an independent research team to find where there may be implicit bias from the arrest to setting the wall, to sentencing the defendant. >> of the opportunity to bring in harvard law school and their research experts and their independent review allows us to do something we couldn't possibly do ourselves. >> the reporter: paula kerry is the chief justice of the trial courts in massachusetts. she says the review needs to start at the top with judges. >> one of the challenges really is just decision makers in our system the ability to be reflective on what they do and styles, it's that reflection that helps you counteract some of the implicit bias issues. >> northward from a stream of tropical moisture offshore coming out of the bahamas and now offshore of southeastern new england. then a cold front back here, pushing our way too. both of them are going to impact our weather it weekend and right now, impacting us for the evening drive. there is heavy rain pushing on through and it's going northward, right along 495, but also into southern worcester county, seeing some of the heaviest rain too. spots in and around stowe, massachusetts, maynard and foxborough, with the red that's showing up in here, that's heavy harvard road, peabody, all getting some of that heavy rain. then to south of there, in southern worcester county, some of the heaviest rain happening. webster and dudley too, where it's coming down very hard. the mass pike to the north of there is all headed toward the mass pike. baker pond road, corbin road, did you do live shall getting some of the heaviest rain. we'll focus off to the east there. this takes you to 495 once again, but through the franklin, milford, bellingham stretch and stretches back it to bellingham, along golfers who know this area, coming down very hard in and around that spot right now. then, to south shore, between plymouth and sciate, we're seeing some heavy rain. it's really up around marshfield and sciate where the heaviest is coming down right along the coastline and the beach roads, jerusalem road in sciate getting hit hard. heavy rain, the high risk, it's there, it's happening. along with that cops the potential for flooding. a moderate risk of localized street flooding, particularly where leaves have come down and raining in your town, you want to clean out the storm drain before heavy rain comes in, good idea. go ahead, but wait nil commercial break. low visibility, moderate for you if you get a levy downpour, low visibility. rain gear a must everywhere tonight. not saying it's going to rain every minute during the game for our game of the week or your high school football recover two workers who were killed while water filled a driven much. >> vanessa: it happened as the workers were digging under dartmouth street. jason law joins us with por. >> the reporter: firefighters are removing the dirt in the trench with their hands to be as respectful as possible. we have confirmed that those men were workers from atlantic drain a co-worker told us they were great guys, great workers and great family men. this tragedy started around 1:00 p.m. this afternoon and from sky fox, you can see the size of the hole that they were working in. we're told the men were digging near a fire hydrant when somehow a water main burst and water quickly filled the hope, trapping the workers. firefighters say it will take a while to secure the trench so they can recover the victims. >> we had to drain the water, bring if a trench it's safe for people going in. we'll do it as fast as we can, but it's a long, drawnout effort. at 6:00 p.m., we are uncovering new information busy store, group cut security cords and got away with 19 phones. a loss totaling about $13,000. >> i think it's shocking. >> the reporter: the theft comes as apple is experimenting with a new method of displaying merchandise, leaving phones untethered in some stores if canada and the u.k., so customers can get a feel for them. a change slated to be tested in the u.s. next year. this isn't the first theft of last month, hingham police said 10 to 12 teens went into the apple store and took off with 22 phones. natick police are investigating to see if that incident is connected to this most playground. community donations paid for a temporary structure to replace the playground set on fire in may. three juveniles were charged in kings with that fire. a permanent replacement for that playground is in the works. >> mark: new hampshire police arrested a man driving drunk on the wrong side of 93. officials safe michael drake of meredith new hampshire was going south in the northbound lanes around 2:30 p.m. this morning. police found drake after receiving a call from a driver who said he was almost hit by an on coming car. drake's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. he is expected in court next month. >> vanessa: only on fox 25 news at 530, a mystery over the disappearance of a pair of goats. they're devastated over this loss and hoping someone will come forward and return them. fox 25's jim morelli live for us in milford, where jim, the goats had a special meaning for one young girl. >> the reporter: she raised the goats from when they were very little, keeping in mind, these are domesticated goats, so essentially, they are pets. we are at milford police headquarters, where they are actively involved in case, knocking on doors, tracking down leads, trying to find the goats who were very special to t special to her father. >> they're like family to me. they are not your average pets, but to 9-year-old cassidy and her dad gary, they are everything. the two goats father and daughter raised since birth. >> some people have dogs, some people have cats, like, they were like a dog or a cat to me, they were really special. >> the reporter: but cassidy doesn't know if she'll see her goats again. >> people build a bond with animals, and it's something you can't replace. it all went down on chestnut street. neighbors posted pictures of the wandering goats on facebook and called police. one neighbor agreeing to deep the goats in this fenced-in backyard, until police could locate the owner. >> four hours later, two men in a red pickup truck, you have our tasers 1100 times last year. that number is driven by more departments turning to the less lethal but costly weapons. 230 agencies had been approved to use the stun guns by the end of last year and tragedies, 300,000 high-risk vehicles are still on road with defective air bags. millions of cars are affected, but the danger for these, honda and acura models from the early 2000's is so great, federal officials say they shouldn't be driven until fixed. many drivers don't know their car has been recalled because to disclose that information to buyers. >> puts them in a terrible position, because they're not even being notified many times that the recall is out there. >> the reporter: a bill proposed in congress could notify car owners when they go to register their vehicle, if it had through. it's right back here. there's also been thunder and lightning reported. connecticut, there's a flash flood warning in southeastern connecticut. that's the rain pushing northward toward us. we have a flood advisory in this area of green, much eastern and central worcester county, including the city of worcester, into middlesex county a that flood advisory. what that means is this heavy rain that's coming through now can produce localized flooding. it's not the kind of rain that's going to fill up the rivers and streams and cause that kind of widespread flooding, but coming down at the rate of one inch an hour in some places, that can get the flooding going, especially coupled with the leaves that plug up the drains. we'll take you to worcester. look at the reds that show up right there along route 9 and route 12 this worcester. hit hard with some of the heaviest rain. city streets, pleasant, elm, oxford in the heavy rain and over to 290. southern worcester county, same idea, dudley to webster and points west of there, 131, 169 coming through town, mass pike to the north. uxbridge and northbridge with pockets of heavy rain and plenty proper to your south. wellesley in the heavy rain, along pike in wayland. 128 through needham and deadham and back through sherburne and medfield and dover, seeing this stripe of heavy rain happen right now. this is all the town of sherburne, route 16 that comes through the area and 27 that cuts it off at the pass. the weather concern will be the heavy rain this evening but also the potential for the low visibility and the heavy rain and the street flooding, localized as it may be. we're not going to see cars floating away everywhere tonight. don't want you to be alarmed by that, but there will be places could stall out in. you don't want to cross flooding waters, turn around, give yourself extra time. rain through eastern massachusetts, going northward. we'll get a break in the action overnight and into the early morning hours. 5:00 a.m., not much happening anymore. the heaviest rain has passed on by, but by saturday afternoon, tomorrow afternoon, another batch of rain, pin wheeling on in here. some of it will given today's ever-changing technology, the group now says, children younger than 24 months should see screens, but only in the form of video chatting. doctors say members through skype or face time can actually help build relationships. the new recommendations vary by age. children 18 months to two years old, the guidelines say that they should be shown media only with an adult, never alone. doctors advise, no screen time, one hour before bed, and don't leave devices in bedrooms overnight. pediatricians acknowledge there are benefits to these devices, doctors suggest parents power down they were working in and trapping them inside. right now, crews remain on the scene working to recover their bodies. heartbroken co-workers tell us the men who died were great family men and great co-workers. ockerbloom. >> vanessa: i'm vanessa welch. just a horrific situation on dartmouth street this afternoon after 1:00 p.m. police say the workers became trapped in a 20-foot wide trench when the water main gave way and rushed on top of them. the men work for atlantic drain services out of roslindale. dartmouth street from warren to tremont closed until further notice. water in that area has also been turned off. >> mark: fox 25 has team we are uncovering new information about the company's history and hearing from witnesses who saw this all happen, but we'll begin with fox 25's bob ward for the latest on the investigation and recovery effort. bob? >> the reporter: well, mark, right here on dartmouth street, there is a lot of delicate work going on right behind me. the bodies of the two construction workers who were killed today, are still inside that collapsed trench. i have want to show you some -- i want to show you live pictures behind me. a short time ago, the boston workers right now are on their knees carefully removing dirt, so they can reach men. this process could take hours. earlier today, i talked to witnesses and they described pure chaos right after the trench collapsed. this is cellphone video of the tragic scene as it happened at tremont and dartmouth. chaos moments after a trench collapses, trapping two construction workers, water flooding the streets, workers running for help. >> we saw people running around, like, worried, had their hands on their head like something happened. we have to get someone down, i think. we saw some guy, i think, came out, all wet and then we saw a person with a green shirt running around, yelling at someone, hey, we've got to do this. we have to do it right away. >> i'm looking up, seeing the guy, it's just a tough situation, the water and sewer are working really hard right now to get these people out. >> i heard the officers screaming on the air very quickly, to get fire, to get everyone down h realized very quickly, we had workers trapped in the hole. >> the reporter: so as you can see, a very heartbreaking day here in the south end. behind me, out here on dartmouth street, what's taking place is that the workers here are trying to drain out that hole, they're trying to get water out, they're trying to shore up the size of that trench to make it safe so that the bodies of the two workers can be recovered. very, very sad day here if the guys? >> mark: thanks, bob. bob, what are you hearing about the investigation on the scene there? >> the reporter: well, the investigation, boston police have sent their homicide unit here to investigate, they're working with osha. the police commissioner said just because the homicide department is here, that doesn't mean that they believe there's any foul play. they believe this is a tragic accident, not the result of foul play, but the men and women of the homicide unit of the boston police department tools at their disposal. they're going to be spending a long time processing this scene, going through, so they have a clear understanding exactly how and, more importantly, why this took place. >> mark: fox 25's bob ward reporting live from dartmouth and tremont streets for us tonight, the scene of that tragic accident today. the tragic scene is taking place if a very busy part of the city. there were dozens of witnesses and several people rushed to actually help the victims. in this video, you can see at background. he's reaching in to the trench as water flows around him. another man is also standing just above the trench. and fox 25's jacqui heinrich talked to the witnesses who shot that video. we'll hear from her coming up at 6:00 p.m. >> vanessa: be sure to stay with fox 25 for continuing coverage and about to travel west outside of a rude awakening in you haven't heard this just yet. this is massachusetts turnpike going through framingham, metro west, 495, route 2 off to the northwest of boston, you're running into this members. that's some heavy rain, you can see red and orange between hudson and marlboro, coming down very hard, right along route 85 coming through town, and then off to the south of there, it's not just there, but look at all of this heavy rain, southwest of boston, from needham to holliston, worcester county, along the pike through auburn and on route 22, route 20 also getting some heavy rain. south shore, you're not out of it. duxbury, marshfield, heavy rain, just north of plymouth into king ton as well and there's been some out on cape cod as well but kidnapping and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl as she walked to school yesterday. chris flanagan live in lawrence where that man is facing several charges. >> the reporter: yeah he certainly is. angel mateo charged with kidnapping and raping the 13-year-old, but also accused of attacking his neighbor five months ago. that neighbor came forward saw mateo's picture on social media. shackled and in a jail issued white jump suit, 21-year-old angel mateo did not look up once during hsbc arena arraignment if district court. mateo is charged with raping and kidnapping a 13-year-old girl on her way to school yesterday. he was wearing a g.p.s. tracker, because of an impending charge that he black mailed a girlfriend with nude pictures last spring. police say yesterday's kidnapping and rape happened at mateo's apartment on phillips street. court documents show he told with anyone, then said, it was consensual. >> i'm sick about it. you know, i think it's disgusting, and you know, what i don't want is for families and parents to think this is something that can happen to any kid in the city. >> the reporter: the neighbors say, they're outraged by the alleged incident. i think he should pay for that. there's a lot of kids passing by, and no, i don't have a child, and i don't want nothing like that to happen to my >> the reporter: just hours aftermatho was arrested on rape and kidnapping charges yesterday, a 27-year-old neighbor came forward with she saw on social media that he had been arrested. seclaims, -- she claims mateo attacked her at 3:00 a.m. in the morning when she was getting out of her car. she told police then, she struggled to get away but the man was able to get her into a head lock and began tracking her to boxford street. police investigated but an arrest was never made, because the woman says she did not though they are neighbors, so she saw mateo's picture yesterday. again, it took police five months to crack that case, coming up tonight all shooting of a 13-year-old chelsea boy is being held on $100 bail. christian garcia hid behind a door when he was arraigned on charges. juan delgado was shot if his shoulder. he was on the third floor of an apartment building on bellingham street when he was hit. police say garcia is the person shot several fires in the area of the home. three bullets went through the bedroom of his apartment building. this suspect is wanted for questioning for something that happened on saturday, october 8th. police say interest was an wonderland situation and lynn. >> vanessa: a bicyclist was killed in a collision in worcester overnight. police say he was riding his bike on southbridge street when he collide with the back of a parked tow truck. he was rushed to hospital but did not survive. investigators are hoping to look at area surveillance cameras to see if they can find out why the crash happened. two men 0 police say they confessed to blowing up a newspaper box in salem were order today stay away from the area. john gilman and richard plead not guilty to charges, including placing an incendiary device. prosecutors say the pair targeted a box belonging to the rainbow times, an massachusetts wants to get to the bottom of potential racial bias in the justice system. chief justice ralph gans is asking harvard to examine the law system. they want to figure out were african-americans and hispanic are locked up at a much hue are rate than whites. the ratio of imprisoned minorities compared to whites is higher in massachusetts than justice tonight want to know why that is. when supreme judicial court justice ralph gans looked at the numbers, he knew something was wrong. last month, the massachusetts sentencing commission found african-americans are locked up eight times the rate of whites. hispanics, nearly five times the number of whites. the commission found the disparity in massachusetts is significantly greater than the national average. >> when i learned that our disparity is greater than the nation as a whole, i thought we of it. gans asked the harvard law school to create an independent research team to find where there may be implicit bias from the arrest to setting the wall, to sentencing the defendant. >> of the opportunity to bring in harvard law school and their research experts and their independent review allows us to do something we couldn't possibly do ourselves. >> the reporter: paula kerry is the chief justice of the trial courts in massachusetts. she says the review needs to start at the top with judges. >> one of the challenges really is just decision makers in our system the ability to be reflective on what they do and styles, it's that reflection that helps you counteract some of the implicit bias issues. >> it's not easy to do, because obviously, some share of that disparity relates to differences in terms of the criminal history and in terms of the nature of the charges. >> the reporter: gans is hoping northward from a stream of tropical moisture offshore coming out of the bahamas and now offshore of southeastern new england. then a cold front back here, pushing our way too. both of them are going to impact our weather it weekend and right now, impacting us for the evening drive. there is heavy rain pushing on through and it's going northward, right along 495, but also into southern worcester county, seeing some of the heaviest rain too. spots in and around stowe, massachusetts, maynard and foxborough, with the red that's showing up in here, that's heavy harvard road, peabody, all getting some of that heavy rain. then to south of there, in southern worcester county, some of the heaviest rain happening. webster and dudley too, where it's coming down very hard. the mass pike to the north of there is all headed toward the mass pike. baker pond road, corbin road, did you do live shall getting some of the heaviest rain. we'll focus off to the east there. this takes you to 495 once again, but through the franklin, milford, bellingham stretch and stretches back it to bellingham, along golfers who know this area, coming down very hard in and around that spot right now. then, to south shore, between plymouth and sciate, we're seeing some heavy rain. it's really up around marshfield and sciate where the heaviest is coming down right along the coastline and the beach roads, jerusalem road in sciate getting hit hard. heavy rain, the high risk, it's there, it's happening. along with that cops the potential for flooding. a moderate risk of localized street flooding, particularly where leaves have come down and raining in your town, you want to clean out the storm drain before heavy rain comes in, good idea. go ahead, but wait nil commercial break. low visibility, moderate for you if you get a levy downpour, low visibility. rain gear a must everywhere tonight. not saying it's going to rain every minute during the game for our game of the week or your high school football recover two workers who were killed while water filled a driven much. >> vanessa: it happened as the workers were digging under dartmouth street. jason law joins us with por. >> the reporter: firefighters are removing the dirt in the trench with their hands to be as respectful as possible. we have confirmed that those men were workers from atlantic drain a co-worker told us they were great guys, great workers and great family men. this tragedy started around 1:00 p.m. this afternoon and from sky fox, you can see the size of the hole that they were working in. we're told the men were digging near a fire hydrant when somehow a water main burst and water quickly filled the hope, trapping the workers. firefighters say it will take a while to secure the trench so they can recover the victims. >> we had to drain the water, bring if a trench it's safe for people going in. we'll do it as fast as we can, but it's a long, drawnout effort. at 6:00 p.m., we are uncovering new information busy store, group cut security cords and got away with 19 phones. a loss totaling about $13,000. >> i think it's shocking. >> the reporter: the theft comes as apple is experimenting with a new method of displaying merchandise, leaving phones untethered in some stores if canada and the u.k., so customers can get a feel for them. a change slated to be tested in the u.s. next year. this isn't the first theft of last month, hingham police said 10 to 12 teens went into the apple store and took off with 22 phones. natick police are investigating to see if that incident is connected to this most playground. community donations paid for a temporary structure to replace the playground set on fire in may. three juveniles were charged in kings with that fire. a permanent replacement for that playground is in the works. >> mark: new hampshire police arrested a man driving drunk on the wrong side of 93. officials safe michael drake of meredith new hampshire was going south in the northbound lanes around 2:30 p.m. this morning. police found drake after receiving a call from a driver who said he was almost hit by an on coming car. drake's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. he is expected in court next month. >> vanessa: only on fox 25 news at 530, a mystery over the disappearance of a pair of goats. they're devastated over this loss and hoping someone will come forward and return them. fox 25's jim morelli live for us in milford, where jim, the goats had a special meaning for one young girl. >> the reporter: she raised the goats from when they were very little, keeping in mind, these are domesticated goats, so essentially, they are pets. we are at milford police headquarters, where they are actively involved in case, knocking on doors, tracking down leads, trying to find the goats who were very special to t special to her father. >> they're like family to me. they are not your average pets, but to 9-year-old cassidy and her dad gary, they are everything. the two goats father and daughter raised since birth. >> some people have dogs, some people have cats, like, they were like a dog or a cat to me, they were really special. >> the reporter: but cassidy doesn't know if she'll see her goats again. >> people build a bond with animals, and it's something you can't replace. it all went down on chestnut street. neighbors posted pictures of the wandering goats on tasers 1100 times last year. that number is driven by more departments turning to the less lethal but costly weapons. 230 agencies had been approved to use the stun guns by the end of last year and officials confirming latest victim -- the 11th fatality tied to faulty takata air bags. the driver was behind the wheel of a 2001 honda civic like this one on september 30th, that had first been recalled all the >> it's a tragedy that simply did not have to occur. >> the reporter: the national highway traffic safety administration stays in spite of the warnings, the recalls, and the tragedies, 300,000 high-risk vehicles are still on road with defective air bags. millions of cars are affected, but the danger for these, honda and acura models from the early 2000's is so great, federal officials say they shouldn't be driven until fixed. many drivers don't know their car has been recalled because to disclose that information to buyers. >> puts them in a terrible position, wine output to fall 5% streaming in to southern new england. it's coming from two spots. right now, the initial spot and the one most concerning is this tropical stream of moisture that's coming on through. it's right back here. there's also been thunder and lightning reported. connecticut, there's a flash flood warning in southeastern connecticut. that's the rain pushing northward toward us. we have a flood advisory in this area of green, much eastern and central worcester county, including the city of worcester, into middlesex county a that flood advisory. what that means is this heavy rain that's coming through now can produce localized flooding. it's not the kind of rain that's going to fill up the rivers and streams and cause that kind of widespread flooding, but coming down at the rate of one inch an hour in some places, that can get the flooding going, especially coupled with the leaves that plug up the drains. we'll take you to worcester. look at the reds that show up right there along route 9 and route 12 this worcester. hit hard with some of the heaviest rain. city streets, pleasant, elm, oxford in the heavy rain and over to 290. southern worcester county, same idea, dudley to webster and points west of there, 131, 169 coming through town, mass pike to the north. uxbridge and northbridge with pockets of heavy rain and plenty proper to your south. wellesley in the heavy rain, along pike in wayland. 128 through needham and deadham and back through sherburne and medfield and dover, seeing this stripe of heavy rain happen right now. this is all the town of sherburne, route 16 that comes through the area and 27 that cuts it off at the pass. the weather concern will be the heavy rain this evening but also the potential for the low visibility and the heavy rain and the street flooding, localized as it may be. we're not going to see cars floating away everywhere tonight. don't want you to be alarmed by that, but there will be places could stall out in. you don't want to cross flooding waters, turn around, give yourself extra time. rain through eastern massachusetts, going northward. we'll get a break in the action overnight and into the early morning hours. 5:00 a.m., not much happening anymore. the heaviest rain has passed on by, but by saturday afternoon, tomorrow afternoon, another batch of rain, pin wheeling on in here. some of it will be heavy, but behind it, the cold air starts to come in too. adirondacks, turning over to snow by saturday evening. football games, will be wet most places. some places, incredibly wet. 65 degrees on average. same thing at halftime in the 60's with rain around. our game of the week, newburyport at north reading, it's homecoming at franklin high school, they'll have heavy rain to contend with too. high temperatures to the north and west of boston will be in 60's tomorrow. this will be just about everywhere. in the 60's. through lunchtimeuntil the showd then the cooling starts tomorrow snowflakes in the high elevations. you have to go to the berkshires, to the mountains, perhaps some mixing happening in the highest worcester hills. it will not be snowing in boston at the coast inside 495 at all, but flurries in the light bluff and the potential for some accumulating snow in darker blues, especially in the adirondacks and portions of the greens and whites here in new england. don't get the skis ready just yet, but it's good news. you would rather see this happening early than not if you're a sunday windy conditions, blustering to 40 miles per hour. we'll keep you parents. q. the nation's leading group of pediatricians is updating its advice on screen time for kids. the american academy of pediatrics once said parents should avoid all screens for toddlers. given today's ever-changing technology, the group now says, children younger than 24 months should see screens, but only in the form of video chatting. doctors say members through skype or face time can actually help build relationships. the new recommendations vary by age. children 18 months to two years old, the guidelines say that they should be shown media only with an adult, never alone. doctors advise, no screen time, one hour before bed, and don't leave devices in bedrooms overnight. pediatricians acknowledge there are benefits to these devices, doctors suggest parents power down has also been turned off. >> mark: fox 25 has team we are uncovering new information about the company's history and hearing from witnesses who saw this all happen, but we'll begin with fox 25's bob ward for the latest on the investigation and recovery effort. bob? >> the reporter: well, mark, right here on dartmouth street, there is a lot of delicate work going on right behind me. the bodies of the two construction workers who were killed today, are still inside that collapsed trench. i have want to show you some -- i want to show you live pictures behind me. a short time ago, the boston workers right now are on their knees carefully removing dirt, so they can reach men. this process could take hours. earlier today, i talked to witnesses and they described pure chaos right after the
