and killed himself. >> we spoke with hutchison's daughter over the phone and expressed frustration that it took manchester police this long to find her mother. a frustration echoed by a neighborhood who didn't want to be identified. >> sadly, investigators wouldn't have changed the outcome of this case. so the attorney general says they have a theory about exactly how sue hutchison died, but they don't want to say anything until the official autopsy takes place tomorrow. now tonight at 6:00 p.m., we spoke previously, fox 25, to his family and friends sue hutchison to kick andrade out of her dedham, a junior at noble and greeno collapses on the field at hockey practice and later dies. 15-year-old casey dunn is being returned tonight for her zest for life. her family says that she was carrying and had a generous spirit. fox 25's crystal haynes spoke with casey's family and this is just a heartbreaking situation. >> >> the reporter: this is the worst kind of tragedy and i did speak noble and said casey was in line and had just looked back to her teammates, said my head hurts, and went down. tragedy on the field. collapsed. it was that simple. >> 16-year-old casey dunn collapses during field hockey practice, school friday. suffering suddenly, from a massive brain bleed. >> she was literally drill after just hanging out with some friends before practice began. about a half-hour before the freak medical event by a teammate, head master robert henderson tells me everyone on the field acted quickly, but nothing could be done to save casey and i'm told, she had no preexisting medical conditions. >> people responded, their coaches took the other players a distance away, athletic trainers appeared, coaches took care of her i. i'm very happy that she went out in such a happy place, surrounded by people she loved in a place she loved doing something that she did love. >> stunned but determined, mike and alexander dunn trying to remember their little sister casey as she lived. sandra, a field hockey player herself, an recent graduate at nobles, casey looked up to her. >> she was just a bright light in everyone's life. so joyous. so happy all the time. >> holding on to memories of the adventurous middle child of five, their mom, a trustee at nobles and their father, a teacher here. the entire school community grieving with them. >> she was just the sharman sachetti joins us live and you spoke with emc about this deal. >> the reporter: indeed, emc expects to grow its business, and base the combined headquarters right here in hopkinton, but when i asked the company about the possibility of job losses, they said they just couldn't guarantee it. at emc headquarters in hopkinton, products and marketing president jeremy burton tells us the company's line that the goal is to put emc and dell together and come out stronger than ever. >> michael dell would say and he made it very clear, that he intends to move the server business from dell and combine that with the storage business here at e credit. >> and hetells me that business will double in size and remain headquartered in hopkinton. what does that mean for the 9700 people working for the company here? when i asked him if they expected layoffs, he wouldn't say for sure. >> we have a business to run and we have to do sensible things to rahn the business, but as the business grows, we would expect the employee business to grow too. >> the reporter: the deal still needs approval from emc shareholders and is targeted to close by february of 2017. and here in hopkinton, people remain hopeful about its continued impact on the region. i. he it's a big company, especially for this small area, a lot of jobs here, i know a lot of people that work at emc. >> bring more jobs to the area. i've been here since emc started here. so it's a big -- it's going to be a big company. >> the reporter: governor baker's office did put out a statement, essentially saying that he is optimistic about the new unit, and said he hopes it will have a robust presence locally for years to come. i did reach out to the state's department of house willing and economic development to see if they could quantify for us the impact that emc has had on the state's economy and remarkably, they could not. coming up at 6:00 p.m., what hopkinton says emc has done for its economy and what it's captured the scene around 1:00 p.m. this afternoon on route 1. you can see the trash truck rolled over, landing right in that ditch. at least one person was trapped inside the wreckage, so special tools had to be brought into free him. no word tonight if that person was hurt or what caused that trash. -- crash. officials are investigating what caused a car fire on the expressway in boston. police say two people jumped from this car, seconds before it was engulfed in the flames on 93 north early this morning. it happened at the exit 16 off-ramp near the south bay shopping center. crews had to shut down that ramp while they put out the fire, but no one there was hurt. now to new hampshire, where a woman is under arrest, accused of crashing into a state police cruiser. police say a sergeant was conducting a traffic stop in thornton when 62-year-old katherine deangelo's car hit his cruiser. both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. deangelo appeared to be heavily medicated at the time of the crash. >> elizabeth: a store clerk stabbed during a violent robbery. tonight, police are searching for the suspect who made off with more than cash. christine mccarthy talked to bedford police who have video of the whole thing. >> the reporter: bedford police tell me that they are reviewing surveillance video of the robbery with staff at the gas station that was robbed and they're working on pulling images from that video, so that we can soon show you a picture of this very dangerous man. >> everett is a very safe community. but we're not immune to those -- these types of incidents. bedford police officer jeff french tells fox 25 it was a violent robbery on sunday night, at this shell gas station. the suspect, hidden behind a mask and hood and armed with a knife. >> there was a little scuffle between the clerk and the suspect, and the clerk was cut in the handism e. but the suspension stands -- >> the reporter: but the suspect didn't leave empty-handed. >> a fair amount of tickets. officers responded to the shell panic alarm and tried with the help of nearby agencies to track down the suspect who is still at large. recovering. >> from what i understand, he was pretty shaken. good stab. >> the reporter: bedford police are asking for tips, while warning the public about this dangerous criminal. >> he was aggressive, so matching that description, be careful. he could be armed an dangerous. >> we are working with bedford police to get surveillance video, so we can show you the as soon as we have that, we'll bring it to you. in the meantime, i did speak with a manager at that shell gas station, been instructed not to speak about this case as investigation. but he does tell me that the clerk is recovering just fine and that he after a shooting on packard street and a nearby house was hit by the gunfire. some video just in to our newsroom tonight. a teen was sleeping inside that home at the time we're told. witnesses tell fox 25 at least 15 shots were fired. we have a crew on the he scene right now. we will update you on this breaking story as we get more information here tonight. a 2-month-old baby girl given a second indicate that a fight broke out in the parking lot of at&t park after the dallas cowboys game. one man was shot and flown to the hospital with serious injuries. police were able to locate the suspect. they took him into custody. right now, police are not releasing the man's identity. >> blair: california is going where the nfl will not. the state is now the first to ban public schools from using redskins as a team name or mascot. that law takes effect in january of 2017. but only four california high schools call themselves the redskins, despite protest, the owner of the washington redskins has refused to change the franchise's name. >> elizabeth: a frightening scene caught on camera in florida. that was a waterspout, which turned into a tornado and ripped a tractor-trailer to pieces. it's like a scene out of a movie. it happened yesterday in tampa. now that tractor-trailer was a u.s. postal service truck and actually flying out. the driver though walked away uninjured. the whole thing came on so fast, witnesses didn't even know it was happening at first. >> i didn't thinking it was anything except a bunch of birds. that truck was probably no more than 50 yards in front of me when i finally figured out what was going on and then i stopped. >> elizabeth: the tornado also did damage to a nearby construction site. the national weather service assaulting the tornado is an ef-0 with winds of 75 miles per hour. kevin, that is incredible video and to see a waterspout then make land, is that common? >> kevin: it is not very common. most waterspouts stay over the water, but when they come on land, they officially become a tornado. this happened on that day that didn't have any severe weather, except in florida. this is the cell we're talking about. notice that hook in that. during the summertime when we talked about our tornado warnings, we're always looking for hook echos. this is a small one, but it's there, a little bit of a hooking action. this is the south end of the sky way bridge where the tornado or waterspout turned into a tornado on land there. so certainly picked up on doppler radar, amazing to see florida common to see the water spots. we see them off of massachusetts from time to time. especially in cape cod bay. today, just warm air over us. just wouldn't have the ingredients for it today. warm water and cool air, unseasonably cool air like they're having in florida, those are the ads. there's a front to our west and clouds lurking to our south. we'll get clouds and showers on in here, but it evening, boy, it's been a great day, temperatures well into the 70's. a couple of 80-degree high temperatures in between the main reporting stations. boston, 73. plymouth, 68. cooler on cape cod at chatham. 71 to the northwest in orange and nashua, new hampshire, holding on to 75 degrees. overnight tonight, most towns will stay near or just above 50 degrees for low temperatures. for instance, northwest of worcester, averaging 51. it would be upper 40's, not a real particularly chilly night coming up. in the morning. those are the clouds that we'll area. 53 in the morning in middlesex cod. clouds sooner, but also be dealing with rainshowers scattered about the morning drive, starting around 3:00 a.m. 58 or so for your low temperatures. these are the clouds we're talking about. southern massachusetts first thing in the morning and as the massachusetts, make sure you have the fox 25 weather app so you can follow along where they'll be for your plans. they become more numerous as the morning drive progresses and some of the heavier showers look like they'll be pushing across southeastern massachusetts. there's still question as to whether or not these will go any farther inland than that. but the latest futurecast data has that. there's going to be the risk of showers during the morning commute. a break in the middle of the day. the showers out ahead of the front coming through worcester county coming through the evening drive and southern new hampshire and vermont. back behind them is the actual cold front coming through from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. into worcester county and into the boston area and out of here before we clear things out. i want to fast forward into wednesday. we start with sunshine, notice the clouds and a couple of scattered showers trying to pop up because of the cooler air that will be moving in, but tomorrow, i expect mild conditions one more time with temperatures getting up into the low 70's in many locations. 72, 73 bridgewater, 71 carver, taunton, 71. worcester county, breaks of sun early on, push the temperature up to 70 worcester, to rutland there as well. but that will be it for the 70-degree readings at least for this week and who knows, maybe for the whole fall. not particularly cool on wednesday, but a lot less sun, more clouds, so you'll have cooler temperatures as the cool air moves in. thursday, a break in the action, with some sunshine, but friday, some showers and i want you to really focus on this. sunday into monday. it's six and seven days out, you know how things can change by then. we'll be tracking some of the coldest air of the season, with but killing freeze out there. latest information coming in right now. >> blair: a bear has apparently taken up residence in a scranton neighborhood. this guy right there showed up in kim's yard on hill road a few times in late september. she said he also visited several times back in july. kim says the bears are clearly on the prowl for food and the whole experience ask a little oregon's governor is praising the communities for a show of support after that deadly shooting at umpqua community college. students returned to class today and dozens of people lined up outside the school to welcome them back. counselors and comfort dogs are also there on hand to help students, still shaken by the tragedy of course. the scene of that shoot, schneider hall, remains closed. >> elizabeth: families of those on the missing cargo ship el faro gathering in honor of their loved ones. with candles lit, families from across the country prayed together in florida as they wait for any news of el faro. it's been 12 days since that ship was last heard from, and it's believed that it sank after it sailed right into the path of hurricane joaquin after the bahamas. but some families are not giving up hope just yet. >> i'm wishing and praying that my son would come back home. have a decent funeral for him. >> elizabeth: families also read the names of all 33 crew members aloud as balloons were released in their memory. several of the crew members are massachusetts natives. >> blair: the american dentist to killed cecil the lion will not face any charges. just a few hours, a cabinet minister in zimbabwe since they will not push for the extradition of james walter palmer. she said palmer had all the proper paperwork and did not offend any of the country's hunting laws when i'm blair miller. hopkins. we obtained a police report where it says the suspected 6-year-old. >> the reporter: those are some of the disturbing details we uncovered after the father filed that report, following the incident here at this barnes and noble a few weeks ago. now the father of that little girl, who we are not naming to protect her identity, says that daughter+f pick out a new book. the father says while they were identified as james sore rentson approached the 6-year-old and said she was pretty. fox 25 confirmed through police reports that confirmed that sorenson has been convicted on multiple counts of sex assault on a child your honor 13. the girl's father says sorenson also asked his daughter how old the girl was. and that's when he decided to step in. >> listen to your gut and if you feel that there is a danger around your kids, call the police. >> the reporter: now, sorenson was not arrested, because technically he did not commit a crime, but according to that police report, he did allegedly tell officers he thought the girl was pretty, but that "he wouldn't do anything because he didn't want to go back to jail." that's all according to that police report. elizabeth: happening now, police are searching for a person of interest in a string of robberies and a satellite sexual assault in dorchester. they say a man in a redshirt threatened two men and an hour later and a mile away, a. would was sexually assaulted near harbor view avenue and chester avenue. police in peabody searching for a masked robber. the suspect had a 12-inch kitchen knife and got away with cash before taking off toward peabody care. >> blair: big changes in how the auburn housing authority operates following the death of a 2-year-old child. the girl was living in subsidized housing with her foster mother at the time of her death. there were six children in her home. tells the telegram it is also installing cameras in its properties and changing the way units are inspected and also set up a tip line for tenants who don't have to leave their name. no one has been charged in the girl's death. former patriots player aaron hernandez will be back in court tomorrow. that hearing is a continuation from playing a split week when his lawyers tried to get a witness intimidation charge dismissed. that witness is hernandez' former right hand man, alexander bradley. lawyers are also trying to get evidence dismissed before hernandez is tried for double murder in boston. columbus day tradition. we captured the 39th annual tufts health plan 10k for women today. the store over here, they saw two cars shooting across the state each other, we're being told there were at least 15 rounds fired. now i want to show you the corner house over here. that was also hit a couple of times. we're being told a 17-year-old boy was sleeping at the time, he woke up and saw all the street. now, i also want to show you this stop sign here. it's hard to see from here, but this stop sign was also shot at. just a little while ago, investigators were taking pictures of that stop sign. we could tell you that the plymouth county d.a.'s office, as well as state police and local 2-month-old abigail jones was born with what doctors thought was an inoperable brain due more. >> elizabeth: doctors told her parents, take her home and love her because her time is limited but abigail reached a milestone today thanks to the doctors at children's hospital. >> this is sweet wonderful abigail jones. >> elizabeth: abigail is just two months old, but her doctors in florida never thought she would certificate vie this long. >> they prepared for us to die in the womb, they prepared for us to die during the birth or immediately after. planned her funeral, what we were going to do with her ashes. >> elizabeth: abigail was diagnosed in the womb with an aggressive and what they thought was an inoperable brain tumor. her parents did not want to give up on her. they sent her mri scans to boston's children's hospital for a second opinion. the hospital's chief neurosurgeon thought he could save abigail, so the family quickly flew to boston. >> initial thought was it was a benign or low grade tumor. they can definitively say it was not malignant, it is not cancerous and not going to kill her. >> the reporter: abigail had successful surgery this thursday, that scar on her tiny head shows where doctors operated. >> when things don't add up, if there's any shadow of a doubt, we don't want to give a kid a death sentence incorrectly. >> elizabeth: the jones family now has hope. >> basically it's like she's been born again, and we have a future and we're starting to dream for her and make plans and you know, we can you know move on with her life. you know, we're no longer about her death. it's not looking at her and thinking about her life and what accomplish. >> elizabeth: abigail is doing extremely well. she should be heading home to florida some time soon. >> blair: just two months old. what it family has been through in a short amount of time, but they seem so positive now looking forward. >> elizabeth: we hear this all the time. people come from all over going to be one of the chillier nights. those are coming later it week and the south shore, plymouth at 68 degrees, cooler at the water with sunshine, but overnight tonight, your temperature will stay in the mid and upper 50's. same thing for cape cod, southern new hampshire, low 50's around 50 degrees in some spots in southwest new hampshire. futurecast, tonight we are clear. notice the clouds starting to creep in from the south, disturbance off the mid-atlantic states, coming northward, spread the clouds on in here and a couple showers around too, so this takes you through the early morning hours. notice the spots of green, all futurecast is telling us here, there is the possibility for a few of the showers to make their way onshore during the morning commute. and in fact, later object in the -- on in the morning commute and first part of the lunchtime, more numerous showers likely in southeastern massachusetts and a few may escape into the boston and worcester areas as well and that scoots offshore. we get break in the action, middle part of the afternoon, showers forming to the wells. we'll have to watch these for further development tonight. year. showers come across during the evening commute and we'll watch the last batch, the cold front coming on through. this is the one that will change our air mass a bit through the middle of the week and come with a couple of showers through the late night before we clear things back out. fast forwarding through wednesday as well, we'll have sunshine to start, that sun will be hitting the cooler air that's moved in, that will develop some clouds and just a couple of showers, although i expect most of us will stay dry on wednesday. ahead of the front, look at this, 68 in wellfleet, 70 sandwich and 71 sciate tomorrow afternoon. the risk of showers especially during the morning for you on cape cod and the south shore. south of plymouth is the highest risk. 73 foxborough, a small risk of a shower later in the day. 70 to loudon, 70 in brattleboro and worcester tomorrow afternoon as well. we'll be watching for the showers, more particularly later in the day as the front comes closer to us. seven day forecast. notice the change in air mass, 60's on wednesday, low 60's on thursday, despite all of that sunshine, and then by the weekend, some chilly air is moving in. and that will be good, that will get the leaves cooking one more time for u so if you're going out there looking for the leaves, photography, beautiful shots, the best colors are to the north with cool mornings and mild days coming up. look at this by the weekend. morning temperatures near freeze, even near boston. they will be towns in the 20's in massachusetts and southern new hampshire by monday morning. could be a killing around midnight. >> elizabeth: governor charlie baker will meet with lawmakers to combat the opioid addiction crisis. the task force he appointed says the addiction should be considered a serious medical condition and deaths from opioid over doses have almost doubled in the past five years. in maine, e-cigarettes will be treated similarly to traditional tobacco. a new law bans the use of e-cigarettes anywhere that smoking is prohibited. lawmakers say the issue is a matter of public health. >> blair: a new bill tries to put stiffer restrictions on flying drones in restricted areas, this is called the safe drone act and introduced after hundreds of incidents where drones came too close to the wildfires. this law would make flying a drone within two miles of restricted airspace a federal misdemeanor, but opponents say lawmakers need to be careful here of putting too many restrictions. >> the benefits of drones now outweigh the potential pitfalls of folks that are using them office depot is being pushed back. the federal trade commission was expected to approve or reject the merger by this week but a new agreement pushes that date back to december. regulators in the u.s., canada and the european unions still need to approve the deal. boston mayor marty walsh hoping to keep the peace during a lawsuit with wynn casinos. the mayor hopes the wynn doesn't make the lawsuit personally. wynn leadership said last week this latest lawsuit came as a surprise after both sides met to talk with the traffic issues. walsh is suing the gaming commission to stop wynn's casino
