worcester right now. winds are coming down they're still breezy gusting at around 30 miles per hour in several locations. keep in mind we're gusting about 50 dur we had a slew of tree damage, unfortunately, with some of those gustier winds now we're out of the danger zone. we turn our attention to a breezy and chilly night tonight with some rain moving in in the early morning hours then clearing out. your metro west planner between about 4:00 and 7:00 a.m. going to want to have that umbrella on stand by. there's plymouth county. the showers could last a little bit longer here up till about 8:00 maybe even a little bit beyond. then we'll start to move them offshore. there are your wake up 40s most spots. nantucket will be in the low 50s there. we'll have west southwest wind at around five to 15 miles per hour. then those winds gusts will pick up at around 9:00 or 10:00 tomorrow morning once again to around 30 miles per hour. so as i mention we're watching a couple of watches of rain some heavier showers really showing up on radar now. can't even rule out a rumble of thunder in the overnight south of the pike. i chose the model that makes the most sense right now that's initializing the west and this is our high resolution hourly updated model. so let me share this with you. this is 4:00 in the morning when you see shiri as we get things underway on fox 25 morning news there's some heavy rain in connecticut. look as the rain goes north ward it's just lightning up. this is one of -- lightening up. this is one of those deals it's a shortcutoff. as you go into boston some soaking rain possible but more likely plymouth county, cape and the islands this is and maybe half an inch too and some of those heavier yellows that you are seeing. south shore, cape and islands we've been talking about south of the pike the favorite area. so along the pike it's wet enough to dampen the commute. by 9:00 in the morning most of the rain is outside of here and we're already trying to turn breezy and dry things out. so the 6:00 a.m. hour your travel conditions on the poor side but by 9:00 in the morning just some leftover wet roads. if you can delay your commute a little that's probably the thing to do tomorrow. taking a look at the rainfall totals well, anywhere from a tenth to maybe .2 in most spots, however some locally higher amounts again are going to be possible south of the pike. so your day planner starts out dreary but it brightens up nicely. in fact, by 9:00 in the morning we're drying out in the upper fris then we're breezy with sunny skies at 9:00 -- at 1:00 in the upper 50s. less wind still at 10 to 20 with gusts to 30 miles per hour. here's the seven-day forecast. it stays breezy on tuesday but then we have to turn our attention to some cold nights. when those winds taper down and the skies get clear that's when we expect those colder readings and i think thursday morning is our best chance for the coldest readings of the season. low there was out there some 20s in those normally colder spots then a new round of rain on the way by thursday night and on with a next weather system coming in. back to you. >> okay, jason, thanks. still to come tonight a dramatic rescue on the high seas where a stranded sailors were plucked from the ocean. ?
