"precautionary measure. >> here's the latest update. they say they are still investigating this and are once again telling everyone to turn off your galaxy 7 and consumers stop selling them. in the meantime, customers will be offered a refund for the phone. for now live in the newsroom, malini basu, fox 25 news. traffic is back to normal tonight on the mass pike after major delays when the driver went the wrong way in newton. state police say the driver of that car crossed to wrong side of the highway and traveled three miles. then hit a guard rail and stopped. emergency crews took that driver away on the stretcher. he is an 80-year-old westwood man and three others crashed and were still working to learn what caused the driver to cross over. state police have revoked the man's license and are looking into whether charges will be filed. at least 1,000 people gathered outside of vermont high school tonight to remember the five teens killed in the weekend crash. police say the man responsible for that crash fox 25's ted daniel live in newburyport tonight with new information about the man's ties to massachusetts. ted? >> reporter: vanessa, his name is stephen bergoin and he grew up in newburyport and attended the public schools here until his sophomore year of high school when he moved out of state. tonight he's facing serious injuries and serious charges for what's being called one of the worst crashes in the history of vermont. three of the five teens killed in a horrific crash near burlington,er have. all but one were juniors in the small community of moortown. this evening thousands attended a candlelight individual thrill. >> it's numbing. >> reporter: police say the teens were in a volkswagen jetta late saturday night when they were hit head-on by a wrong way driver and the impact caused the jetta to explode into flames. the first police officer arrived on the scene. >> that officer went down to try and extinguish that fire in the process of trying to extinguish that fire he looked up and noticed that someone had jumped into his cruiser and took off traveling southbound with the emergency lights still activated. >> reporter: police say 76-year-old stephen bergoin hit seven other vehicles before the cruiser caught fire and he was taken into custody. >> he was probably doing 100 miles per hour in the >> reporter: he lives in vermont with strong family ties to massachusetts. his late mother and late father were from newburyport and he had prior addresses in salisbury and new hampshire. investigators called him a prime suspect in the teen's death and they say what happened was no accident. >> he's were all terrific young students -- these were all terrific young students that have been taken from us way too early and far too soon. granted an emergency motion to have bergoin bail set at $1 million today that's because prosecutors believe if and when he gets out of the hospital he could be a flight risk. he's also expected to stand in new hampshire, maggie hassan cut taxes for small businesses, protected education... created jobs. in washington, what's kelly ayotte done? six feet down it can be a few degrees colder and be freezing. so you can't you just go by the thermometer in situations like this. it's going to be close enough that it becomes a risk out here for tonight. here's that cape cod seeing warmer temperatures that's the difference between calm conditions. in worcester you are dropping down to at least 40. there will be towns around worster that will drop into be. boston dropping into the 40s. clear skies turning to sunshine then cape cod staying in the upper 40s for your low temperatures. you will wake up to sunshine you have it all day tomorrow. so your high temperatures will rebound back into the low and mid-60s across the area. on wednesday just a few clouds drifting by but it will be a mostly sunny gorgeous day one more time. the only day this week that has any concern at all is thursday. a weak front coming on through. there is a small chance we will be able to kick off a showerer thursday temperatures warm up slightedly ahead of that monahan, fox 25 news. a pair of high school football coaches are on paid leave after an incident on board a newtown south school bus. it appears this agreement turned physical on thursday after a freshman football team returned home after the loss. we're told the student called police and troopers pulled the bus over. state police and school administrators are looking into what happened. >> a taunton her boyfriend text messages to kill himself said the statements should not be were head at trial. michelle carter claims she was not given her rights when police first questioned her. the 20-year-old is charged with manslaughter for the death of 18-year-old boy. carter's lawyer has argued that texts are protected free speech and she's not responsible for the suicide. residents are immediate safety hazard crews will be remove the debris. billups is fed up saying this trash is potentially unsafe and definitely unflattering. >> our leaders talk about how a world-class city it is
