post-tropical cyclone. the impacts are the same. you can see 70-mile-an-hour winds. it's moving to the east and northeast. it will take a turn more to the north and possibly even bend back to the northwest or even loop out here over the open atlantic. so this is monday into wednesday. it is still south of our coastline and then eventually moving away late in the week. but until it moves east of us, we'll be under the threat for a lot of rip current look at these 20-foot seas and they are all building toward the southwest, the cape and the islands into tomorrow night on into early monday. check out the latest advisories. tropical storm watch, cape cod, the islands as well as the immediate south coast. these are the areas that could have some tropical storm-force winds, around 45, 50 miles an hour. and that could cause scattered power outages and take down some it's more of a concern even though we won't get hurricane-force winds, still enough to create problems. the high surf, the rip currents, the high threat, heavy rain and strong winds also a big concern later on into sunday and monday. i've got much more on the local impacts that you will feel for your holiday coming up. >> see you soon. one person has died in this storm. a florida man hit by a falling thre-- thousands are without power. new jersey and delaware have already declared states of emergency. hermine was the first hurricane to hit florida in 11 years. people who have already felt the impact of the storm say hermine has left her mark on the area. >> some of those gusts were -- probably were 50 miles an hour. it was blowing me from one side of the road to the other. >> sitting on my porch. big gust the wind. you could hear some popping. explosion. >> all right. as hermine barrels towards new england, many are not taking chances. our reporter is live in high nan -- hyannis. >> reporter: at the hyannis harbor yacht club, nearly every single one of their boats is being pulled from the water. hospital recovering from burns after she fell in a fire pit. it happened during a picture day party. partygoers' quick actions may have saved the little girl's life. >> reporter: firefighters say family members and folks at the party acted quickly to mitigate her injuries, moving her out of the fire and into a bathtub. fire officials say it happened during a birthday party girl, fell into the fire pit burning her hands, feet and legs. she was taken via med flight to shriners. when she was transported, she was in stable condition. firefighters say this was an accident. no charges were warranted and the fire pit was well-maintained. duxbury police are looking for this woman last seen yesterday. donna plunkette was seen driving 7:00 p.m. friday night. police say she was heading out to meet a friend but never he show -- but never showed up. contact police if you have seen here. lancaster girl dies after being thrown off her horse. authorities say she was brought to the hospital where she died today. police have not released her age or her identity. michael say these two men stole items from his dressing room. it happened at the casino ballroom on tuesday. he's taken to facebook asking for help finding these two and they are asking his belongings be returned. a second person is facing charges for murdering an east boston teenager. angel ramos made his first court appearance hours after his arrest on friday. he pled not guilty and is being held without bail until a this month. police say surveillance video and fingerprints link the 21-year-old to linus's death. that individual was found stabbed to death in a garage. 16-year-old jose hernandez is also in custody in connection to this murder. tonight, police in new jersey are searching for two men involved in a shooting that sent an officer to the hospital. it happened early this morning outside caesar's casino in atlantic city. officers stopped a car with three men inside when they say at the officer. an officer fired back, hitting one of the suspects. he was later found dead. as for the injured officer, they say he's in critical condition. one person was hurt in an earthquake that hit seven states in the nation's heartland. the 5.6 quake was centered near pawnee, oklahoma. one homeowner had minor injuries but is out of the hospital now. the mayor says only one building was damaged. >> the worst damage is the the square. from what we can tell, that's the worst damage. it's an old historic sandstone building. some of the outer wall has broken away and fallen on the sidewalk. this quake could be kept in kansas, iowa, texas, nebraska and arkansas. the remains of an 11-year-old minnesota boy have been found. jacob wetterling was reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint by a man in 1989. sources s police where to find the boy's body. it's unclear what charges the u.s. attorney's office plans to bring against him in this case. president obama is in china for the last g-20 meeting with world consensual. the man was released on his own police arrested a man they say broke into his neighbor's apartment last night attacking him. officers say it happened on washington street. police say they later found jessie colgan inside his own home. they took him into custody charging him with burglary and resisting avenue. police in new hampshire are asking for the public's help in identifying the man up see here. this is video last sunday night. you can see when the clerk turns his back, the man sticks his hand in the tip cash. if you recognize him, call police. a quincy woman is dead, run over by her husband in the driveway. police say it appears to be an accident. it happened on philip street. the 52-year-old woman was killed when her husband backed over her. the victim's husband was hospitalized with chest pains. he's not facing any charges a this time. police arrested two men in smoking marijuana on a bench thursday evening when they saw officers and ran off. now, when police caught up to the pair, they say they found a handgun with no license as well as xanax pills, marijuana, cocaine and $2,000 in cash. police say this is the most recent of several cases of drug activity in the public garden. a mother is being summoned of court accused of leaving her baby alone in a car while it was running in a gas station. the whole incident was caught on camera and posted to shot in the face with a gun. police are investigating how the boy and his friend got their hands on the weapon inside an abington home. a key concern, whether the gun was properly stored. the shooting happened wednesday afternoon at a home on linwood street. thursday grief counselors were at abington schools to help students talk about the incident. the district attorney's office said the boy is in stable condition. shirley place say a scare involving a jogger approached by a stranger was a misunderstanding. the alert by police was shared hundreds of times on social media. a man driving a van offered a woman water. the driver said he was only trying to help. he apologized for scarring morning and police stepped up patrols in the area. six years after he became paralyzed, a new hampshire man is suing his former high school coaches for negligence. he was paralyzed when he made a tackle in 2010. he blames his coaches and filed a lawsuit. he was a sophomore on the jv team at his high school. >> it's not just football. it's education of a 15-year-old t the most important obligation is to make sure the students under their care are safe. >> an attorney for the school said the coaches have decades of coaching experience and this was an unfortunate freak accident. the case is expected to go to trial in 2017. people in farm are being be -- in new hampshire are being asked to back saying everything was okay. there's nothing to worry about. >> an autopsy determined she died from a single gunshot wound. so far, no arrests have been made. police are not saying much about this they go to post-tropical status, they can expand, get more like a nor'easter as opposed to a tightly wound-up hurricane. right now, 70-mile-an-hour winds. almost hurricane force winds. that's certainly possible that we do see hurricane force winds inside of the storm and in the outer reaches of it as we head into the n we have a lot of warm water for this to identify off. it's getting its energy from the warm water from the surface of the ocean and also from an upper level low-pressure system that's come over. don't let the name fool you, post-tropical. the impact is the same. it's a difficult structure. let me track this over time. monday into wednesday, look at the large uncertainty of the of a spread but the hurricane center just really covering all of the basis here because when you get a storm that's wobbleling around, there's not any flow to kick it any direction. it does look like that will slowly occur late in the week. but at least through tuesday and wednesday, all eyes will be off to the southern waters of our coastline. it could get very close to the coast. landfall is not out of the question. i think it's unlikely. i like the it more offshore. that's what i've seen recently. right now, keeping it optimistic but we are under a tropical storm watch for the south coast for the cape and the islands. that means scattered power outages are possible and any of these gusts that happen to get up to 45, 50 miles an hour. that's sunday night into monday. so let's take a look at those model forecasts. this is just different computer model runs on the same scenario right now, very reliable model guidance showing the storm passing off to the east and we'll just continue to watch the westerly winds slowly nudging that way. but as it passes through, we'll have those wind gusts, hour by hour, it:00 -- 2:00 on sunday. as we go into the night sunday night, waking up monday morning, look at the winds here. 20, 30-mile-an-hour gusts. not a huge deal in most of 50-mile-an-hour gusts now showing up on the islands and the south coast here as well. this is going to start abating late monday. we could see another burst of wind on tuesday. lots to keep track
