along ridge road. the water pump sits idle. i contacted two county commissioners listed on the sign this morning and upon returning today, we found a public works employee on sight making sure that the pump was on and working. i asked pasco county officials why the pump was left off while neighborhoods remained underwater. they pointed to the widening project. in an e-mail sent late this afternoon, a county attorn an ongoing dispute with the contractor for that project which it is in the process of resolving. it turns out the county delayed flipping the search to research if pumping flood water into this retention pond would impact the ridge road project site and who is responsible, the county or contractor for potential damages. the pump is online now but bass lake neighbors are hoping that the county can come up with a long-term fix. find out the solution to the problem. >> reporter: now, a lot of residents in bass lake wondering why one of the stand alone water pumps has not been placed here. there is a loflooding on this brook wood avenue. we want to mention that the pump was not previously used before for flood clean-up. it was one of four pumps that pasco county is send out an advisory on this public health official. we uncovered it through our records request. officials confirm at least one person working on the base contracted zika. officials say the person contracted the zika virus while traveling outside of the continental u.s. in july. in an e-mail following our request foanswers, officials state, quote, the squadron closely together to monitor the mosquito population, share information, and implementrol m risk for our population. it took officials two full business days to tell us when this happened. they say the person experienced symptoms mid to late july. macdill officials declined our request for an interview and refused to tell us if the person is living on base or in a different county. now, according to a federal military service feels like temperatures at 102 in plant city. 97 in lutz. that's going to be sticking around. we had our little breath of fresh air. i'm aphrase to say that summer is a couple of weeks from turning into fall. even then it's usually well into october and november before we start to see the long- term changes. go up north, the fall foliage will weeks. we're already into september. low 90s across the area under clear skies. satellite looks reminiscent of yesterday, doesn't it? east to west winds. north of i-4, completely dry. mostly cloud-free for that matter. tomorrow, we begin to see subtle changes. all of the dry air covering most of the area. clearly you can see where it is. there's the line. north it's dry. south it isn't. and that moisture is going to the drier air over the next few days, bringing things back to where they should be for mid- september. usually by september 15th, you can see this in the models, july and august, we're seeing numbers. we're almost to the end of the rainy season. mid-september it's usually gone. at least the ones that you can count on those daily afternoon storms. now it becomes a little more isolated and sparse. high temperatures, no changes there. low 90s and it than that because the humidity will be returning tomorrow. it will be around through the weekend. making your weekend plans now, you're good to go in terms of rainfall up until 3:00, 4:00. it will feel warmer. even in the morning, if you want to get work done outdoors, early on, you're going to feel it. this weekend is a good weekend to take the boat out. a light chop on the bay. water temperature 84. well. there are your tides. sunrise at 7:13. sunset at 7:41errtnight. no rain from i-4 north. only a couple of showers for the next few minutes down across the southern tomorrow, a few more showers. but we can't write out an isolated watch that closely. the weekend looks good. at least until 4:00 or 5:00. and then by next week, it's back to normal with the rain
