She and others at the Florida Jobs Office are seeking jobs minimum wage. When the governor talks about a million jobs, she is talking about in private industry. What the governor is leaving out is the number of government jobs that have been lost, 140,000 in local, state and federal government, bringing the statewide total much closer to that number. The state has budgeted nearly 400 million in incentives over five years through Enterprise Florida to bring jobs that pay an average of 59,000 to the state.
