happen. and it's something that you don't want to have to be worried about for your kids. >> reporter: it turns out this exact same message was blasted out to people affiliated with lincoln schools all over the country. tracking down where and how it started is still being investigated. school officials say with a heightened sensitivity to mass shootings, even if a threat seems fake, they've got to respond to every one of them the same. >> these days, in light of all that has happened around the country, you know, we can't take any threat lightly. so eve threat has to be taken very seriously. >> reporter: and back here live, you know, if you're be the number one name for schools all across the country. easy to see why that's the one that the threatener decided to use. as for parents here, they got two separate phone calls alerting them of the potential threat. investigators looking how this all got started. kera mashek, abc action news. >> school psychologists in highlands county say they are overwhelmed right now. now that the district is planning to hire a fifth psychologist to service the students. now according to the director of student services, 75 students were waiting by the end of the year. the additional position will allow clinicians more time for one on one student counseling. a student claims she was when she was attacked the school never took action. the incident. the former student is now suing the school board. a history of sexual misconduct. a bay area man is in trouble accused of having sex with a run away on five different occasions. mason davis helped her run away several times between october and december of last year. each time deputies say davis drove the teen to his home and they had sex. davis was aware of the girl's age and is facing counts of of a minor. on tuesday. two are charged with possession of cocaine and crack-cocaine. all have charged with solicitation of prostitution. tonight abc action news reporter eric waxler shows us how soldiers who fought for our building this car for four months now. >> reporter: racing for vets is gearing up for a 14-hour endurance race in daytona april 2nd. preparing for the track just got more difficult. ten days ago, thieves broke into their garage, stealing racing tires, tools and equipment, about $5,000 worth. >> when you're taking a veteran's tools, those tools are there to basically save their lives. they laid their life on the line overseas for us and they come back here and the people they are protecting are stealing from them. >> reporter: racing for vets mission helps veterans get involved in motorsports careers. >> some come to learn to weld or fabricate. some come to learn the race. >> reporter: for former army mechanic jason houston, it's been ideal. >> it gives me a place to come when i need to release stress, which is quite a bit. >> reporter: the theft is being while there are no arrests yet, they have strong leads. racing for vets was able to recover two of the tires and they continue to get the ride ready to race. eric waxler, abc action news. president obama is using an executive action to end solitary confinement in federal prisons for juveniles and low- level offenders. advocates of prison reform have been pushing informer this change for a long time, arguing the punishment has lasting mental effects. now the u.s. attorney general particular type of housing. and so we have now a great body of knowledge about the collateral consequences of restrictive housing. >> now, along with the new rules for solitary confinement, president obama is adopting new principles that would govern how federal correction facilities are housing the prisons. hundreds of documents related to the boston bombing will be released any minute now. tsarnaev and his brother tamerlan tsarnaev placed two bombs near the finish line of the race in 2013. the explosion left three people dead and more than 260 injured. tamerlan tsarnaev was killed during the manhunt but tsarnaev was sentenced to death. a federal judge is unsealing documents that led to his conviction. now on the campaign trail. person see sanders ask close -- bernie sanders is after being dragged by a suspect's car. the officer was responding to a domestic call. when he showed up the suspect tried to drive away but the officer's hand was caught in the car door. he shot chapman. the officer was treated for a hand injury. a lake mass i had woman accused of hitting a couple with a baseball bat is out of jail tonight. officials say elizabeth velez called 911 saying someone hit her and she hit someone else with a baseball bat. police believe she hit a woman in the back of the leg and a man on the hand. she has been released on a $10,000 bond. a man accused of fleeing a traffic stop and crashing into a fence is behind bars. officials had to use a taser to arrest the 49-year-old after he hit one officer in the face. melvin now facing several charges. deputies say he was driving on a suspended license and also had marijuana and cocaine in his car. right now more than 40 restaurants are set to open by spring of this year in the bay area, bringing hundreds of jobs with it. the economy has restaurant owners cashing in because fresh kitchen and daily eats needs to fill 60 positions. everything from servers to cooks. and the lure is looking for yes, sir. >> reporter: a consumer report survey of shoppers find most labeled natural assume no pesticides were used or artificial colorings or gmos. and almost half of those surveyed mistakenly think this has been independently verified. >> the problem is the natural label doesn't guarantee any of this. there are no government standards. >> reporter: in fact, manufacturers are allowed to use artificial ingredients in processed foods and label them natural. >> without oversight, it can be a marketing tool that can fool consumers. >> reporter: for example, wesson is labeled 100% natural but it is made from genetically modified soy beans. this is made from industrial chemicals. del monty did not and this craft natural cheese includes a mold inhibitor. kraft did not respond either. >> it should mean organic and no artificial ingredients and there should be verification required just like the organic label so consumers can be assured of what they're buying. consumer reports wants the food and drug administration to ban the tournament rale or define it in a meaningful way. as a result the fda is asking the public to weigh in on how natural should or shouldn't be used on food forward to, that's a good thing. a lot of folks, despite how warm it was in december, people say we have had a couple weeks of cold weather. you see what is going on out there. you see the cooler waters over the gulf and you see dense sea fog. there is a dense fog advisory off shore. if you've ever been out on the gulf or the bay and you have dense sea fog literally you can't see your hand in front of your face. it is that thick sometimes. so this evening, not to mention mention a lot of folks don't want to go out on the water because it's been raining. but that fog will be an issue. a lot of reports of people along the coastline, west of alt-19 in pinellas county where we don't typically see this pattern all that often. right now we do and we have fog and moderate rain rolling in from holiday over to west chase. really pretty much all of pinellas county and western hillsborough county. it could be worse. it is worse. this is heavy rain. none of that is severe. despite the fact that there's a chance of severe weather down south later tonight or tomorrow, i don't think it's an issue for us. the threat primarily set up south of i-4. and today, the tornado that touched down was way down to the south in broward county. we got the rain. not a bad thing. we can always use rain, especially in the drier times of the year. but people are looking for warmer temperatures. hang in there. by next week, we are going to see some changes. dropping like they did today, they're going to be going up. as you see right now, zephyrhills, 10 degrees cooler than yesterday when some folks were in the upper 70s to near 80. outside right now in tampa, it's raining. 68 degrees. the humidity at 93%. the dew point 66. the winds are light. just a dreary day. i mean, no other way to slice it. we hit 68. that is actually not that cool consider ising we -- considering we should be 70. not that far from normal. the record 82. i'm telling you, next week i would not be surprised at all if we see 80s across a portion of the area, especially on tuesday. maybe on wednesday as well. st. pete, it's raining. 63 degrees. the dew point is 62. winds out of the east/northeast. in sarasota, yes, the theme continues. it's raining. humidity doesn't get higher at 100% with the dew point at 67. here is the satellite picture. great sleeping weather, right. no thunder or lightning to speak of. just steady rain across the area. most folks picked up an inch or two of rain. this evening we're looking at the heaviest rain down south. we will be dodging showers throughout the evening. things should be quieting down. while it starts off cloudy tomorrow, it should be mostly dry. then we get the actual front. there it is. it comes in late morning -- it comes in late morning, early afternoon. i don't think there will even be a thunderstorm just showers. once they roll on through, look how skies clear. we go cooler and breezy. not too bad. noticeably cooler weather on friday and saturday. look at this, thursday, highs in the mid-60s. even upper 50s to low 60s as the cooler air comes in quicker across our northern counties than it does for the rest of the viewing area. as we mentioned, there is the dense fog advisory for the boaters. the boat out this evening. tomorrow will be better. the water temperature is still chilly. 57 degrees. there are your upcoming tides. 7:19 your sunrise. 6:07 your sunset. a look at florida's most accurate 7-day. rain chances tomorrow, 50 to 60%. most of that will be from late morning to mid afternoon. but look at friday. and then look at saturday. a lot of folks have had that day circled for a long time for gasparilla. the pirates invade saturday. the weather will be perfect. 66 for a high. a lot of sunshine. back into the low 70s on sunday. take a look
