times back and forth. he said he slammed the baby and kept slamming her. >> reporter: when steele returned, the 6-year-old told his mother baby kathleen was in distress. steele ignored the child and ran another errand before returning home. she realized something was wrong. >> instead of calling 911, she called a neighbor who was a nurse. >> reporter: it was clear to already dead and she called 911. the 6-year-old admitted what he'd done, even demonstrating it on a doll. thursday afternoon, deputies arrested steele. the 6-year-old and 3-year-old brothers are in the custody of child protective services. for abc action news, i'm cameron polom reporting. >> the sheriff says the 6-year- old boy won't be charged, but he will under go immediate counseling. he and his 3-year-old brother remain in a care for the time being. back in 2009, kathleen steele and her husband phillip were part of a tv documentary about women who fight their way through difficult circumstances to have
