>> reporter: bucks general manager jason leit says the search is underway to replace levy smith. of the number of coaches up for grabs, dirk cutter, already rising to the top. >> i haven't talked to any outside candidates yet. >> reporter: tony dungy talked to me via facetime about the process and the firing. >> i thought they were on the right track. >> reporter: dungy now a sports analyst coached the bucks from 1996 to 2001. he told me the process boils down to speed versus quality. >> the best thing to do is take your time, don't worry about how fast it goes and make sure you get the right person to really go along with the vision. >> reporter: so who will it be? an online search will give you every scenario known to man. every sports analyst on earth has an opinion. possibilities i found. lions defensive coordinator teryl austin, mike shanahan, josh mcdaniels from the patriots, defensive coordinator of the panthers sean mcdormet. one analyst threw out former bucks coach jon gruden. and chip kelly. now let the games, pun intended, begin. >> reporter: there are so many names out there, some will shock you, others not so much. we're told there are two candidates who are going to be in town this weekend for an interview. to find out who those are, you gotta tune in a little later. steve? >> i heard gruden's name tossed around too! he's hinted he wants to get back into coaching. doubt it! but it's fun to speculate. >> reporter: i asked him that, and he said not at all! because the firing of levy smith came as such a shock, he didn't even have time to think about that. >> he's thinking about it now! as is everyone else. thank you. st. petersburg's mayor believes an agreement he's proposing will keep the raise in the -- the rays in the city and put money in the pocket. the city. they can start looking for possible new locations for a new stadium. it requires them to play at tropicana field until 2018. that allows the city to work on redevelopment of the site immediately. >> within this 3-year period, a decision will be made. we have had those developers who've looked at surrounding property and have had interest in it but backed away because they didn't know what the them was gonna be. >> the proposal also requires the rays give the city a general description of the process it will use to evaluate potential stadium sites. that evaluation will be a minimum of six months in order to give st. petersburg an opportunity to entice the rays to stay at the current location. the powerball jackpot has never been bigger than it is right now. >> it has soared to a bazillion dollars! [ laughter ] >> one bazillion. or something like that. $800 million to be exact. it is expected to go higher before tomorrow night's drawing. so we don't know what total is gonna be! >> a bazillion. [ music ] >> reporter: his songs mesmerized the judges on america's got talent. he sings with passion and emotion. brought on in part by the son preston from cancer. >> i feel like the name is starting to pop a little bit. >> reporter: sitting on his father's porch, he reflected on the ups and down was trying to make it in show biz. his guitar shown in these snapshots vanished late sunday when his fiancee's car got repossessed. >> my guitar and is all my music was in there. i just got home that evening and is had been home 30 minutes. >> reporter: he paid off the car and got most of his stuff back, except for his custom guitar and case. >> it kind of sucks, but i'm getting through it. i've had a lot of friends and family come together and help out. my fiancee stepped out and helped too. >> reporter: he says not winning america's got talent took a toll on him. he lost some singing gigs during the tv run which he's just now getting back. the theft is a setback. >> where do you thinkis a pawnshop somewhere. >> reporter: he admits he'd like to be further ahead in his career but feels it's out of his control. he's got a new album in the works and jobs lined up in the months ahead. >> i feel like one of my babies are gone. it really hurts. you put all your soul and your emotions into this one thing. >> reporter: things are looking up for johnny. he got engaged over the holidays. a new nephew was born. and he's got some gigs lined up. he's playing at the hard rock casino next month. >> you asked him the question. does he have any idea where the guitar might be? i heard him say he's hoping not the pawnshop. >> reporter: he does have some ideas. he's working with the tow company about getting that guitar back. he thinks it's in south tampa somewhere. and the tow company has agreed that if they can't find it, they're going to reimburse him for it. > you get used to your favorite guitar! that's a nice guitar too. pretty sweet. steve, we have had a little bit of rain. some clearing. >> we're gonna get cooler next week. before then! >> but wait! >> there's more. >> there's rain chances. and that'll come tomorrow night. for now, a nice evening, temperatures will be seasonal. 68 degrees right now. winds calm. 87% relative humidity. and plantation crystal river, 72 degrees. not too bad. some overcast here, generally clearing skies once that area of low pressure will move out. things should get clearer. throughout the day on saturday, starting out with some sun and clouds, by the 2nd half of the day we'll see an approaching cold front that'll bring us rain chances saturday to the most of sunday should be just fine. but these rain chances on saturday, 50%, that is generally into the evening hours, in the early morning hours of saturday. so mr. emoji generally likes this evening! mild temperatures in the upper 60s. clouds around generally, especially overnight. staying dry for this evening anyway. next eight days, temperatures on the mild side. dipping down monday to 63 degrees. that's where we put the fire back o. 64 degrees for tuesday, wednesday, and really most of next week we're talking about high temperatures in the 60s. tony from lakeland got a beautiful shot of the lake. temperatures into the upper 60s this evening. partly to mostly cloudy skies. not a bad night. you might want to bring a jacket or a light sweater. current temperatures, farther off to the east, 75 degrees. 73 in venice. the north of us, snow, rain, very cold air set to move into the northern part of the country. this area of low pressure is our feature. most of the rain now clear off to the east. moving away from us. and we're gonna see a pretty good stream of clouds coming in from the west. minnesota. the area of low pressure moves away from us, then the approach of a cold front from the west. and that'll bring that possibility of showers later in the day as that front approaches and moves onshore. late afternoon, evening hours. behind this front we're expecting those temperatures to cool down. a second push of cooler air will allow the temperatures to stay in the 60s for highs overall. chilly weather. 68 degrees for the evening, partly cloudy and mild. a great evening to spend outdoors. 76 degrees for saturday. 71 degrees on sunday. the rain chance there falling but this is later in the day on saturday. then we start the cool stuff. 63 degrees for monday, 64 for tuesday, 65 for wednesday. so those of you who have been wanting the 60s below normal, here it is for you. the cooler air settling in next week. and naturally we'll probably get a warmup at the end of the week. after a hot december, very nice anger passengers may soon may soon have a better screen. panasonic is building an hd touch screen display. you'll be able to connect your smart phone and charge it. papanasonic has also built a larger version for business class. a 24-inch screen, full spectrum led lighting, and a connected remote control tablet. a dress featured at the consumer electronics show is taking the term wearable technology to a new level it. expands and collapses based on when it senses stress or adrenalin from the woman. during high adrenalin, it expands in the shoulder and skirt areas, forming a large silhouette that frames the body and is cinched at the waist. this is my space!
