was drinking involved? >>reporter: a lot of questions involving the story. very few answers. i can tell you this is the vessel in question. right now, you can see the damage to the front of the boat. was the operator under the influence? did he have a medical condition, or mechanical to say. i can tell you officers were here for several hours checking the vessel out. it crashed into his dock and boat just to the south of his dock several children were fishing. you can see the extent of the damage. authorities responded and ended up locating the boater at a nearby marina. he describes hearing impact. >> i could not imagine the sound, something i've never heard before. imagine cracking six's like toothpicks. and you can hear it snap, powell, bank. >>reporter: we are hearing from that witness that the boater that caused the damage to his dock was taken for questioning. i have calls into fwc to see if that is the case. he also told us he did not have insurance on the dock he is hoping that the boater if he is crashing through dock after dock and crushing sailboats, dodging bullets. >>reporter: according to the witness we were talking to, it wasn't speeding. it's a fairly large vessel going about, he estimates six knots of the time but you can imagine a vessel this size and the inertia can cause quite a bit of damage. >> six knots is not slow either. by now leftovers may that is why so many bay area shoppers are out right now for a post- thanksgiving bargain hunt. you had your turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, maybe even lunch. thursday night's nfl game right here on nbc. currently at this hour a lot of things you have had on your mind. by friday. shop until you drop. paul mueller life at the tampa pretty much complete their holiday list by sunday?
