[ thank you. >> you can stick with us on air and online at wfla.com for the latest updates on 99 l. as it gets closer to florida. tonight at 8 on your side consumer alert for those who need epipens to treat allergy attacks. and the company has buckled under the public pressure and will now pocket costs for some patients. they will now offer a savings card to cover up to $300 of the patient's co-payment. other low-income patients could get the devices for free. they came under fire for raising the price of a standard two-pack of epipens to about $600. a 400% price increase in just eight years. to be clear, they are not lowering the list price of its very expensive injector. they're still charging $600 for the pack of two. coupon for some with restrictions, but there are an option for bay area families a company is offering to sell epipens at a huge discount. we're live at one of the six locations that are offering this. this is a story you'll only see on news channel 8, and we're talking about huge savings. instead of $600, people can pay $180? what is the catch? >> reporter: i sat down exclusively with the company's founder here tonight and he assures me, keith, there are he insits that it is the same type of epipen you'd find if you went down to your local pharmacy, although you'd be paying a whole lot less. a life-saving drug for people with potentially deadly allergies that's why 43 americans keep an epipen close at hand. since 1-800-the price the pharmacies pay has soared from $100 to $600. limbo. >> i have to protect and provide life-saving medication for my child, and the current trend, i worry how are we going to pay for this in the future? >> peter, what does it take to certificate? >> reporter: all right. here it is. in a nutshell, if you're a pilot like i am, you just take a test essentially and get a certified flight instructor and you're good to go. if you're in the a pilot, which is probably most people watching right now, you have to take a knowledge test, and that has to be done at a center, and once you do that, you have to get your license. remote certificate is what they call it. >> live for us in largo. thank you >> reporter: sure. football season is almost here and the folks over at the stadium are excited to show off their new features. today we took a tour inside the new hall of fame club and tried some of the new concession food there. we also checked tout new high- tech scoreboard. it is a big one, too. the officials tell us they want the fans to have the best experience possible. >> reporter: in all told, 31,000 square feet of video space. the best fans in the nfl are to an event. not only our event, but all events here at raymond james stadium. >> the buccaneer also take on the cleveland browns tomorrow night at home. it is football season, high school too. the temperatures for tomorrow night kick off, 84, low 80s. it is going to be a warm night. you might be lucky enough to see a shower or two. and there may be a remaining shower. probably showers tomorrow. cleveland and, of course, the buccaneers playing right here in tampa. they're hosting cleveland at 8:00. the tailgate rain chances, a little bit of shower chance there early in the evening, by later evening, it should be just fine. 94, 95 degrees is is the record. it was very hot day. the dew points are a little lower. humidity is down. you might have been able to notice drier air in place. a great shot at sunset. the water. at noon, 88 degrees. 92 at 4:00 p.m. for tomorrow. better rain chances farther south. an area of high pressure dominates the region. brooksville, stefer hills, and st. pete, clearwater, 81. the same in plant city. dew points are dunn a little bit. typically you'll see dew points, and we did see them, typically the southern areas, in the upper 70s. but the slightly drier air in place, potentially some overall you can see how quiet that area of high pressure is keeping its just to the north of us. and you don't see any clouds in places like georgia and the carolinas, and mostly the north and the central portion of the state. a bit more moisture south and out of the realm of the influence. a few light showers continue to roll into south florida at the moment. in the tropics, in case you missed this, about a 60% chance from 99 l. the longer it goes, the better it takes for us. and to call this a system, it is still rather disorganized. the hurricane reported that more disorganized than it was 24 hours ago. still, thunderstorms continue to fire and we'll have to continue to watch it. quite a bit of dry air here on the western and the northern side. dry air into a tropical system is not a good thing, that and wind sheer, and the interaction with the land areas mentioned. all of that is good for us. we don't want to have to deal with this thing. it may help to move the moisture, but you can see the composite of the tropical wave here, the computer models pushes this to the west that is sunday another 4:00 p.m. 24 hours ago this was moving across the florida peninsula. that is how things will change as it can't lock on to the initial part of where this storm is located. and gaston is still out there but it may become a category two hurricane. just reporting what is going on in the tropics. better rain chances farther south. again, the shower chances kind of rolling in from the east. a bit of moisture in the southern spots and the high pressure, of course, dominating the central and northern sections of the area. 30% rain chance. 40% chance as you get into saturday. and we'll watch the potential for development of that area of low pressure farther down to except invees 99 l. and -- >> so many times. >> and we just don't talk about it that much because it is moving northwest, we have to continue to watch it. just better news tonight. >> and investigation. >> it is weaker than it was a day ago. >> thank you. next in sports, the rays come up with more late-inning magic against the red sox. and it turn entered a position battle during training camp, but will both of these tight ends be worthy starters come into steak 'n shake for hand-dipped fall milk shakes. better yet, come into steak 'n shake for hand-dipped fall milk shakes at half- price... ...during half-price happier hour, days, now two to five...
