Benjamin gandy just saw her in the hospital and says he knows she will get through it. But neighbors are still coping with what they saw last night. The blood started from the dining room all the way to the porch. Her three small children calling for help. I was afraid that she was going to pass away and those williams drove away after shooting her, led police own a chase and tried to ditch the gun. But hes behind bars tonight. I dont think he will see daylight theytime soon here in our community. Reporter Jamarian Williams is currently in the Summit County jail. He faces several charges here tonight. A few of them felonious assault, endangering children, and Domestic Violence. Live in akron, newschannel5. We discovered this is it suspect has an extensive history of Domestic Violence charges. We wanted to know, why was Jamarian Williams out of jail in the first place . Megan what did you uncover . Reporter well, there was a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly beat the victim two weeks ago. He has pleaded guilty to other receive jail time for convictions in the past. That victim was in her house, locked doors, protection order in place, and this is what happened. Reporter Terry Heckman has seen 21 years worth of Domestic Violence cases at the battered womens shelter. In this situation last night it looks like she was doing everything right. Reporter Police Records show bianca took out a protection order two after Jamarian Williams allegedly punched, slapped, and kicked her. Heckman wonders why he was only ordered to Community Control. I would like to hear why he was released. Reporter we wanted to know, too. But the Summit County prosecutor told me she could not answer my questions about the case saying it could jeopardize the outcome of a future trial. As for Community Control . If they have a history of getting out and repeating the violent behavior, some of these appropriate candidates to hopefully get some type of intensive treatment to stop that cycle of violence. Reporter heckman said that whatever type of Community Control williams was sentenced to did not stop the violence, so i went to the judge who sentenced him. Judge Paul Gallagher would not allow my camera in his offices. He denied my request for an interview and went answer my questions about why williams was not in jail. Even though experts say there were red flags. This is the type of criminal that we needed to look on and say, his personality is not the type that listens to protection orders, we need to ramp this up a little bit, and im not sure we did. Statistics show there has been a 60 increase in the number of tickets they have issued between last year and this year at this time. Behind the use of all this is also a lot of criminal activity because people quite simply cant afford this drug so they do whatever it takes to get it. Agents also seized two pounds of heroin.
