a rough 48 hours. just this constant wet weather. a little bit of partial clearing for towntown cleveland. the moisture is going to start to pull away here. we have that upper level low and that's what's causing us to see that continuous flow of rain for last few theys. tracking a few scattere showers. as the low starts to track to the north and pulling in drier air. that's going to allow us to even see a few peaks of sunshine throughout the saturday afternoon. temperatures across the -- still on the cool side downtown cleveland, good morning. lake -- currently at 58 degrees. inlands locations. you're off a mild start this medina. 57 degrees. let's man out your saturday afternoon. it's not going be a washout weekend. after the last two days there is going to feel like a slight break. now temperatures are still going to warm up to the lower 70s by that 1:00 hour. most of the day, mostly cloudy conditions. >> thank you. this morning a man is fighting for his life. a family movie night interrupted by a home the latest for us. >> we're not getting much information. it's very early in the investigation. we do know he was taken by helicopter here to metro health medical center after being shot during a home invasion. it happened friday around 9:30 on mill avenue. three suspects bursted into the home. at least one person stopped him and all three took children were home at the time. witnesses tell us the children were not harmed. they also say the victim was stabbed during the confrontation but so far police have not been able to confirm that. right now we don't know the motive behinded invasion but they are trying to gather information from the victim and the woman who was home during the crime. police have not given any description of those three suspects. but i do have calls into the police information. i will pass it along. >> all right. just a terrifying situation. still so many questions this morning. thank you. also new from overnight. they were shot around 11:30 last night and no word on their conditions. but we do know both are at methodist hospital this morning. everyone in ohio. it appears another deadly heroin hit the streets. at least eight overdose calls within the last 24 hours. won't be able to seek worker comp unless very strategic guidelines are followed. they have it prove the pain keller are the best option available. hope this will keep people from coming addicted. it can often lead to heroin addiction if left untreated. another heartbreaking example cleveland police posted this image on social yoad. they found a man. they immediately realized he was in the middle of a heroin overdose. those officers traded off doing cpr and were able to keep him alive. he was taken to the hospital to recover. so the browns also said tbor don's focus must be on -- it's best for the team to move forward and to move on leaving many wondering if gordon will be cut from the team. not looking good for his future with the team as well. they are already grieving the lost of their loved who have spent thousands have nothing to honor them. the attorney general suing the owners of three cemeteries. they paid $8,000 for plots and headstone only to find out it was moved to a different plot without their knowledge. >> i feel like i've been robbed. my husband is not in the place where to be. i don't know if i'm going to be next appeared to be heard screaming as the shots are fired. the second video is from a surveillance camera. it also shows him walking e radically. it's difficult to see his hands. he's seen falling to the ground. >> the charlotte police department announcing it will release the full video of a shooting of keith scott. they released some view but the full dashboard and body camera views will be released after scott's family reviews them. it was shot by a charlotte police officer earlier this month. wells fargo in trouble again. justice department says the 400 cars from u.s. military members. that's illegal. they're supposed to get court ordered. they will have to pay $10,000 to each person impacted as well as equity with interest and they'll have to fix the credit of every service member of the moisture that continues to lift to the north and it's on the scattered side. now, we are starting to track a little bit of drier air due to this upper level low that continues to spin here this will allow for sporadic showers throughout your saturday afternoon extended to sunday. with that drier air it will allow more for maybe a peak good morning. 58 degrees. you can see the cooler air from portage to giaga. 56 where that moisture is currently moving. good morning. currently at 57 degrees. so hour by hour we're not going to call this a washout saturday. you can see our temperatures by the one. 2:00, still in the lower 70s across most spots. tonight, mostly cloudy conditions. but still once you have that low gets closer and closer to the northeast ohio it's bringing in drier air and that will allow mess moisture to filter in where we've been dealing with copious amounts of moisture across the board. let's give you exact timing. you can see the clouds in place. maybe you're medina area. it will continue to come in here and even for sunday afternoon. still track a showers. moisture accumulation totals, folks, they're on the -- half an inch for all locations of northern what we're dealing is an upper level low that continues to track to the north and it's going to produce us with some drier air for your saturday and you can see from kentucky right now, a little bit of high pressure trying to build as this low makes its it's going to give us a little bit of reprieve from all the wet weather that we're seeing. today will be on the scattered side. a wonderful clouds. i know this way to start off your weekend and the month of october. but folks our temperatures are slightly above normal. most locations going to be in the upper 60s by the noon hour. nick? >> that's the tradeoff. we'll take those mild temperatures. thanks. moving to a disturbing story. right now police searching for three suspects after they barged into man's home and shot him. live for the metro health medical center following the latest. how is the victim this morning? them minutes ago. he's in critical condition. he's been in surgery for several hours now. and he's scheduled to go in the intensive care unit following that surgery. i also spoke with family members here at the hospital. they are identifying the victim as lonny williams. now police say three suspects barged into williams' home 9:30. they shot him and took complex. a woman and several children were in the apartment during the invasion. the family tells me that children were threatened by the suspects but were not injured. they also say williams was stabbed in the side during the incident but so far police have not confirmed that information. police have also not released any descriptions of the three suspects but again, they are still on the run this morning. latest. >> o.k. thank you. keep us updated. leaders are proposing drastic cuts. trying to save some schools. the cuts could include dozens of teacher layoffs and the closing of five. the meeting is at 10:30. the mayor is meeting with community members to have a public discussion about this. it's happening at the karma snow this one for students impacted by the closing of itt tech. they will hold an info session to find out how they can continue your education. it's possible some credits could be transferred to the community college. today's meeting is from 10:00 to 1:00 at the metro campus. and looking ahead this afternoon, we will learn more about september 2014. that prompted a federal lawsuit. smith in handcuffs. she's thrown in recommending a higher yes. that's true. he was sentenced to 23 years behind bars for killing emily and sexual battery charge as well. there's still no system that requires the sheriff's office to things are starting to die down but still in the power five i am tracking moisture. just about to make its way offshore for lake county. you're seeing some scattered showers. moving north fairly quickly. now we are se air out towards kentucky now. it's lifting to the north the upper level low and that will produce us with partial clearing. could see some peaks peaks of sunshine. temperatures across the board. let's take a close look. 58 degrees. where that rain currently is moving. so slightly warm. 61 degrees. north ridgefield. 58. you can see more ibland and sheltered locations you're still in the mild side this morning. near 60 degrees already for wayne county. not going to call this a washout saturday afternoon. just in case as some of these showers will be on the scattered side. tses burn -- it's bringing up drier air. the next 36 hours as that low continues to track to the north. the exact timing to plan out your afternoon. you can see from western communities that dry air makes its way from -- even by the 2:00 hour most of us not dealing with any rain here. it starts to track in. 7:00 for wayne county. throughout -- even erie county. be tracking overnight. you can see the bulk of the moisture really move in here. this is around 11:00, 12:00 and it will continue to flow in for your early morning hours. church services tomorrow may be early brunch you're going to
