The city says all volunteers and staff who work directly with kids must undergo a background check with state police but the recreation and Parks Department will not comment on whether the suspect ever passed a background check. Schooleginning to the year for the Annapolis High School community after an assistant coach was killed in a crash wednesday night. Police say the 50yearold was riding a bicycle when she collided with a van. The driver of the van was not injured and she was an assistant track and crosscountry coach at Annapolis High School since 2011. Anne Arundel County Police are they are working to determine whether any charges will be filed. Are Arundel County Police also investigating two attacks by one aggressive dog that injured four people. They say the potentially rabid dog attacked three kids and their babysitter in the 300 block of dmaaraon south in laurel.
