A cruise ship is now headed for Central Florida, after surviving what looks like the scene from a movie. Jason the ship was hunkered down overnight, as it was hit by this strong storm. Things were broken as passengers were on lock down in their rooms. Michelle Alex Villareal is live from Port Canaveral. Alex, we ve been hearing from some of those people on board. What are they saying . Alex from all accounts, it appears that it was a very rough we have seen a lot of posts on social media. People showing the damage, and talking about their concerns. Some passengers are questioning why they even went into the storm in the first place. We didn t reach out to some of the passengers, asking if we could use their photos and videos. Take a look at this one. One passenger called these choppy, choppy waters, very calm before the storm. Some on the ship said that it felt like they were going through a hurricane. The crew describes it as a rough patch of weather. They did not need help from the coast guard, and there are no reported injuries. We are looking into this, to see just how fast the winds were. Many on the ship said that the boat was rocking nonstop. Passengers did tell us that the winds have since died down. In this image, you can see couple chairs. We know the ship took off from cape liberty, new jersey on saturday. Today s stop at Port Canaveral is a scheduled stop. From here, the ship is set to go on to the bahamas. Overnight, we have learned that a store clerk was shot in an overnight robbery. It just happened it happened just after 11 00 last night. Brett connolly is here with what we learned overnight. Brett we learned that one employee rushed to a hospital was shot. Police are on the hunt for four suspects in the armed robbery. This was on 4th street and 2nd avenue. Area from 1. 5 miles west of Orlando International airport. Foreman barre city distort the store, with three employees inside. One was injured, and another sent to the hospital. We do have an update on the shot victim. They have nonlife threatening injuries. At this point, no specifics on the suspects. Police are not revealing the Surveillance Footage at this time. Jason. Police arrested sara barnes in december for a series of traffic violations. They say she was driving with a license plate registered to another vehicle. Barnes is also accused of burning down the senator in Big Tree Park in sanford back in 2012. She is held on no bond in the Seminole County jail. Jason deputies in polk county are trying to figure out what lead to a weekend crash that killed three kids. Investigators say a sedan and , jeep collided on saturday on poinciana. A 6yearold in the sedan, Anthony Rubio of winter haven, was killed. Two children in the jeep, 6yearold Leila Persaud and 8yearold maylee persaud, both of poinciana died. You can see now, it is pulling away from the coast. It is wrapping rain around it. The carolinas were dealing with they had flooding concerns today. Michelle this morning, we re waiting for answers after two men were found dead in orlando. A metrowest neighborhood was swarmed by police late last night. Brett connolly joins us with the investigation. Brett the deadly night shocking the community. It s still unclear what led up to the shooting. Officers say they found two men dead at the stone bridge reserve. It s a Condo Community on Robert Trent Jones drive in metrowest. A crowd gathered outside distraught over what happened. An emotional scene unfolding in portion of the space was blocked off by crime tape where , investigators launched a death investigation. Police received a call around 7 15 last night. The crime scene unit along with detectives were searching the lot for any evidence. Police have not yet said if they are looking for a suspect in this case. Michelle we are looking to find out more information about a man that was flown to a hospital overnight. Deputies will only say that there was some kind of a fight that occurred near pearson. Eleven people were shot, and two of them died early sunday morning. Police believe as many as three gunmen opened fire inside glitz ultra lounge on universal boulevard. Three extraduty cops were there at the time, as well as club security. Officers are still looking at Surveillance Video of the scene, but haven t released any of it yet. Gunfire. Cars and people were flying everywhere. They were jumping the curb. Police were trying to keep it contained, but they could not. There was too many people out here. Orange county deputies now believed it was an accident, and they ve arrested walter morame, the gun s owner. The teen was shot while visiting relatives on spottswood drive, sunday. That s in the conway acres subdivision. Deputies say the child and two 18yearolds were playing with a gun when it went off. Morame, was not home at the time. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is out on bond this morning. In just a matter of hours, a former police chief will find out how long he ll spend in prison. Former longwood chief thomas of conspiracy and bribery. Prosecutors say he took more , than 30,000 in bribes to help a convicted felon become a officer. Michelle happening today, orlando leaders will consider a 75 million plan for ucf to construct a new campus downtown. Jason Brett Connolly joins us with more. Brett ucf has had a downtown presence in orlando for nearly a decade, but the school wants to expand, along with valencia college, to build a campus for roughly 7500 students. It would include ucf class space on the south side of livingston street, between hughey and parramore, and valencia space closer to the old arena site, in the planned creative village. To make it happen, orlando mayor buddy dyer is asking the council to approve a donation of 15 acres of land, deed over the building where ucf already teaches digital media, and reconstruct livingston street. Developers would also donate land worth more than 7. 5 million, and the city would donate 2 million in parking garage space. The mayor believes taxpayers city is putting in, when other businesses build in the creative village and more property tax revenue rolls in.
