Meredith it was yesterday that officers announced they believe they found the remains of missing toddler, lonzie barton. Today, ruben ebron, the boyfriend of the child s mother, was expected in court to either accept a plea deal or not, but that was called off. A judge wants to find out if those remains were the missing toddler, and how the child died, before either accepting the deal or not. Our sister station in jacksonville, found out ebron was agreeing to plead guilty to aggravated manslaughter involving a child with an expected sentence of 15 to 20 years. The next hearing is scheduled for a week from today. Medical examiners say it will take time to confirm if those yesterday are that of lonzie barton. Sources say they expect to revisit the plea deal in about two weeks. Lonzie s mother, lonna pled guilty to child neglect and lying to police last week. Gail witness julie cunnigham testified about the fire burning behind her Marion County home on the evening of sunday april 17, evidence shows it was the body of 15yearold Seath Jackson. The teenager had been lured by his exgirlfriend amber wright to a house where jackson was beaten, shot, and then burned in a backyard fire pit. Wright and four others including, her brother kyle hooper, were tried and sentenced in the case. In 2012, a jury found amber wright guilty, and she was sentenced to life without parole for the killing of seath seth jackson. Last year, the Fifth District court of appeals granted wright a new trial, ruling that an incriminating interview should not have been included in wright s first trial. Seath jackson s remains were stuffed into paint cans which were dumped into a limestone quary. All the codefendants were sentenced to life in prison except 21yearold michael bargo, the accused gunman, who got the Death Penalty. If they can t they will inch forward until they can get that clear line of sight and sometimes that arm will come down on the bus.
