that ran the red light setting off the tragedy, has turned himself in. in.cbs 58's lindsey branwall joins us in the newsroom now with more. lindsey. michele, mike... police had told us yesterday that they had a good idea who they were looking for. now they have a 23-year-old man in custody, but still haven't released his name.we also learned today that the uber driver was bringing the women to the journeyman hotel when the accident happened. fellow uber drivers have set up fu we only know as "tim." i spoke with him and he says he's a bit sore, but overall thankful his children have a father. we're also learning more about the three women involved. ashley sawatzke was from menomonee falls, and well known in the community ... her family owned a local flower shop, and as law enforcement was responding to the crash, a menomonee falls dispatcher realized her friend may have been a victim when she heard about the accident.the other lindsey cohen are originally from ohio, but the three women had worked together at emergy b. bbdo. they put out this statement today, saying all three were incredible exhuberant women taken too soon."we are absolutely devastated by the loss of these three incredible, exhuberant young women who were taken from us far too soon. our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones at this moment." 3 3 and we've just learned that a 14-year old boy who was killed in a crash in grand chute near appleton was from milwaukee. police have not released his name, but they say he was driving a car that was being chased for a reckless driving incident. eventually, that car slammed into a light pole at an i-hop restaurant late last night. the teen was pronounced dead at a hospital in neenah. old had stolen the car from his uncle in oshkosh. 3 and milwaukee police are still looking for the person who stole a car with a baby inside.1-year-old 'taratino carter' was missing for about 2 hours last night.a nationwide amber alert was issued after his mother stopped at this "a and s super petro" gas station near 60th and good hope and went inside the store for a short time. that's when someone entered the unlocked vehicle that was still running and took off with the baby in the back seat. a man charged with ki stand trial. trial.jason small appeared for his preliminary hearing today and was bound over for trial. small is charged with first degree intentional homicide...for the murder of don lewis....the trumpet player whose body was found in the basement of the place he owned, the young urban jazz cafe earlier this month. small worked at the cafe and police say the two men had argued about pay before lewis disappeared. a fond du lac county correctional officer is pleading not guilty to charges shooting here in milwaukee. lillie jones is charged with first degree reckless injury and disorderly conduct.police say she shot a woman seated in a car outside the onyx nightclub back on october 16th after an argument inside the club.according to the criminal complaint, jones says she used the gun to shatter the car's window, but did not shoot her. the onyx nightclub, where that fight took place... has now closed.the owners declaaring on social medial that last night was last call because it was too difficult o things safe outside the club. police in waukesha say an 11-year old waukesha boy is responsible for sending clown- related messages that threatened students.cbs 58's kyle aevermann has the details from waukesha. waukesha police say that 11 year old student used a school issued ipad to send those threats though an app called musically.police say the boy went by the user name creepyclown123.investigators worked closely with the school district to track down the student was interviewed and admitted on friday to making those threat.he told investigators it was a joke and he was just trying to scare some of his friends at hawthorne elementary.police say this is a good reminder for parents to look through all of your children's apps and see who they are communicating with and how.but the lessons for student's don't end there.sgt. jerry habanek/waukesha pd."let's take this moment and scaring children.on october 5th, a middle school student in worried about clowns that might attack, brought a knife to school. and the very next day, sheboygan police arrested a man who had a clown 3 a second deadly shooting, at about 1-40 tris afternoon was on north 24th street near details on just what happened. we do have a crew checking on this breaking story. watch for much more during our upcoming newscasts. the family of the one month old baby who was in the back seat of a car when it was stolen yesterday are grateful the baby is okay. okay. cbs 58's amanda devoe spoke with them today, along with the family of the person who found the car and called police . .amanda joins us live with more. i talked today with a milwaukee woman who got a call from her daughter-in-law after she found the empty car with the baby inside over three miles from here. > they found that car at 39th street and silver spring drive around 8:20 yesterday evening. the women say that baby taratino carter was peacefully sitting in the car when he was found. > the car was taken, around 6:00 sunday evening at good hope road. police say the mother ran into the store to pay for her gas and left the keys in the ignition when a man hopped in her car and took off. i spoke with the owner of the gas station yesterday and here's what he had to say. > :18> sot lindergeet singh, owner: i took her in my car and i tried to tell her ok let's chase him and i have her my phone and she called and gave out the description of the car and the child's description and we went on the road speeding up to 70 miles per hour just to chase the car. police are still working on finding the suspect, but they do have some strong leads. live in mke ad cbs 58 news. one man has turned himself in today in connection with a deadly hit and run crash over the weekend. meanwhile, today we learned the identities of the three women who were killed. killed.milwaukee police released the names of 30-year- old 'ashley sawatzke'...a menomonee falls native who year-old amy taylor, and 35-year-old lindsey cohen, also from chicago.police say they were killed in a crash just before 3 a-m sunday when the driver of a lexus s-u-v ran a red light on north second street at west clybourn and hit the uber car the in which the three women were riding.two men ran from the lexus...but again, the suspected driver turned himself to police earlier this afternoon. 3 a young girl rescued from an apartment complex fire in kenosha.a passerby managed to shortly before 10 last night at the building on 61st street near 22nd avenue. four adults were able to get out safely. the fire department says the fire was confined to the attic... but because of the age of the building... it was difficult for fightefighters to get to it. the red cross is now helping all who were displaced. 3 to our campaign 2016 coverage now...and with 15-days to go before election day, donald trump is questioning the accuracy of polls that show him trailing hillary clinton campaigning in florida...a state he desperately needs to win. as for clinton, she's not only campaigning for herself, she's trying to win votes for democrats in down-ballot races. meanwhile, some voters, unhappy with both candidates, are considering protest votes. but will those votes count?
