Each situation is uniquely heroic. Course one of the highlights tonight officers who saved one of their own after a suspect shot him on duty. Nats of getting award clapping clapping a standing ovation as 8 officers and a Communications Operator were awarded. They helped save officer Brandon Baranowski back in july after a gunman ambushed him then shot him several times. Baranowski called for help johnson and x put pressure on baranowskis wounds until more help got there. At least 100 different units showed up to the call on july 17th. Officer incident. Scary, thats all i can say but im glad it turned out the way it did a lot of things turned out in our favorwere celebrating the fact that officer is still alive, he was nearly murdered that night. And the quick thinking of our officers were able to end the threat but also get the medical attention he survive. They were awarded for not only theor life saving efforts but for controlling the scene, using quick thinking, and being watchful while the shooter was still on the loose. Officers on scene found the shooter 20 year old Tomas Uriegas who they say took his own life. Officer baranowski got the purple star award this summer while he was recovering in the hospital. Nicholson introduced the legislation. It would boost the base pay to 15 dollars an hour by the year 2022. The first raise would be to 1225 an hour at the start of 2017. 3 Milwaukee County Board Chairman Theodore Lipscomb is calling for an advisory referendum on the proposed wheel tax. The wheel tax would add 60 dollars to car registration fees for Milwaukee County residents.
