No word yet on the extent of her injuries. A bartender and his girlfriend are suing the city of sheboygan over their treatment at the hands of police. This dates back to an incident last summer in which police shot and killed a man who had just robbed a tavern. The bartender, kurt klessig and his girlfriend, Mary Heitzmann were both wounded by the gunfire. Now theyre each seeking over 3million Dollars Police were negligent by shooting when there were clearly innocent people in harms way. A family statement says while klessig and heitzman feel awful for all the parties involved. The incident has taken a toll on their relationship, their finances and it has caused extreme mental and physical suffering. Wisconsin democrats may have absorbed some key defeats in the recent election. But they won a big victory in court this week. A federal court ruled the current wisconsin redistricting maps. Which were drawn up by republicans are unconstitutional. Republican leadership redrew the voting maps in 2011. At the time. They said they did it because an election demonstrated voters were trending republican. But a group of democratic voters filed a lawsuit. Today students here at the college will donate 170 turkeys to families who need an extra hand to start the holiday season. That more than 700 families will benefit from todays donation which happens here at 10 am. This is the seventh year the school is taking part in the food drive. What makes this special is that these turkeys were donated directly by the students. Some of them even donated the birds using their own school meal plans. The event was organized by the Athletic Department faculty and staff also chipped in. Over the years, this food drive has helped feed more need.
