right now police are searching for suspects in this shooting that left a man dead here this morning.take a look behind me. you can see several police cars and investigators ouside one of these homes. at this street or inside a house. according to police, residents of one of these homes heard the shots and called police, but there are no witnesses to the crime. there are several people, who we believe to be neighbors, in the street speaking with police officers. that's the latest from milwaukees north side i'm jp cbs 58 developing news this morning--- a man is dead after an apparent ?drowning? reported at a pool at a wauwatosa complex.the milwaukee county medical examiner's office was called out to "serafino square apartments" near 100-th and north avenue around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.we're told the man was 61 years old.his name has not been released yet. new details this morning in the death of a child.jayda handy's death has been ruled an accident.the 3 year old ran across the seet to greet her grandfather at a park on saturday afternoon... and didn't see an oncoming car.she hadjust turned three... and her grandfather was there for happy birthday to you you 3 last night a group-- led by her parents jaylen and erica-- prayed and then sang happy birthday to jayda. mourners also lit candles and set up princess balloons.speaking to the crowd... her dad remembered her as always happy and smiling.. and protective over her little brother. jaylen handy, jayda's dad: "she loved her brother, she wouldn't let anybody mess with him. nobody at all... this is for your short years she was here, she made an impact on everybody." everybody." according to the medical examiner reports... speed and alochol are not factors in the crash.the driver of the car is not facing charges. 3 ?new details? about a ?double shooting? on milwaukee's north ?teenager?? is hurt... after a ?fight escalated? to the point of gunfire. gunfire.the shooting happened near 4-th and chambers sunday night.we now know... 29- year-old ?carnell adkins? of milwaukee was killed.police say... the injuries to the 13 year old are ?serious.? no arrests reported yet. the family of a man who died at the milwaukee mental health complex four years ago... has filed a civil-rights lawsuit. lawsuit.the family of 25- year-old brandon johnson filed it.... naming a number of doctors.. an insurance company.. and milwaukee county in the suit.johnson was county mental health complex on october 3rd 20-12.the lawsuit sayhe told employees he hurt himself in a fall.. and couldn't move from the waist down. he died three days later. the lawsuit claims staff did not help johnson... or bring him to the hospital. 3 17-30"brandon complained of having no feeling in his legs, i was told it was just in his head there was nothing wrong with him, we know that the doctor's and other medical professionals ignored his pleas from help" an autopsy found johnson died from a blood clot caused by a broken neck. after the incident... several employees were disciplined by the state... but no criminal charges were filed. 3 milwaukee county released this statement in response to the lawsuit:"we cannot comment on open legal matters, other than to say that we take all allegations very seriously." the district attorney expects her to argue that she's ?insane?--- yet police say... a local mother tried to ?hide the body? voice: i killed my son. son. 3 (kin-uh-tae-durr) told police... she stopped taking ?anti-depressent and anti-anxiety medications? nine months ago. the d -a says... he expects her to plead ?not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.?she's due back in court next week. nats of car crashing into squad squad after ?nearly killing two deputies?--- a milwaukee woman is trying to work deal.?cbs 58 was the first to obtain this ?dash cam video? of the highway incident back in june."kevina freeman" is charged with ?endangering safety?... after she backed into a squad car during a traffic stop.a deputy had to "jump"... to avoid getting hit. the other one was holding onto the ?driver's side door.? freeman's ?mother? fell into the concrete median.the next court date in this case... is august 26-th. looking ahead - a franklin pizza shop manager accused of locking a teenaged waitress in the freezer will learn his napierala?
