our top story at 5 -- this morning an okauchee man is in the hospital after a car crashed through his garage while he was working on his car. car. cbs 58's kyle aevermann is live in the neighborhood where it happened wihe a very scary situation. cars are supposed to be in the garage, but not the car that barreled through this garage last night. according to a friend of the man who was hit..... a car was going down the sawyer road off ramp didn't stop and ended up crashing in to the man's garage.the man's friend told us he was pinned in the wreckage and, after being rescued, was taken by flight for life to the hospital with who was driving the car was able to get out on her own. investigators are trying to figure out what happened. you'll hear from that friend coming up in our next half hour. a burlington mother alerts a school district... after seeing messages from her daughter about a "hit list". list". 14-year old boyfriend... were arrested for ?conspiring to commit murder.?in the criminal complaint--- the girl told police... she thinks about people being ?slaughtered, eaten, and stabbed.?five classmates and the girl's father were on that list.after ?hearing? about the "hit list"... some students are getting counseling. "obviously it has impacted several students that are concerned and we have our guidance services available to them if they need to work through this matter" the complaint says the girl didn't think her boyfriend would actually kill her classmates.the girl and her boyfriend are currently under house arrest.they'll be in court next week. congresswoman gwen moore is now requesting the department of justice investigate deaths at the milwaukee county jail this year. year. in her letter to the d-o-j, moore lists four deaths...including that of an infant.she accuses milwaukee county of quote "failing its constitutional obligations to our inmates". cbs 58 talked with congresswoman moore... and she criticizes sheriff david clarke for his response. "none of us should be stunned at this point that there are four deaths in six months given his flamboyant, arrogant and non-empathetic response to that. some of the families have said he has not even reached out to them, to say i'm sorry for your loss." loss." 3 sheriff clarke sent us this statement about moore's comments....he says...."gwen moore, criminals' best friend, country is facing, replacing obamacare, reducing taxes, closing the border and helping president trump jumpstart the economy to provide jobs." 3 looking ahead now--- the man charged with murder... after his accomplice was shot and killed by a milwaukee police officer... will learn his fate in court this morning. morning."gregory rounds" has pleaded guilty to charges of felony murder and bail jumping. police say... he and burt johnson ?robbed an o'reily auto parts store? at 76-th and mill road back in may.johnson was shot and killed by police after firing at officers. the potential release of a sexually violent offender... is causing some problems for people in both washington and fond du lac counties. counties.people living in eldorado are fighting the release of terry olson into their community.they went to a washington county courtroom yesterday to send a message... that he shouldnt be released back into the same place where he committed his offenses. olson is due for release after serving time for his convictions on 1st and second degree child sex assault. 3 cg in eric toney/fdl da526 so some of those placements they previously deemed as unsuitable may become suitable county.:50 i know the judge put us as a community in our place but he also heard our real reason is that the procedure wasnt followed and he did acknowledge that that the judge questioned whether a law restricting placement applies to olson... since he's being released in the same year it was passed.for now.. olson remains in state custody. all parties have two weeks to gather their information... before antoher hearing on december 22nd. this isn't the first time the the town of el has had to deal with the placement of a sex offender. about one year ago... d-h-s wanted to place sex offender clint rhymes in the small town.but the town fought back... and eventually the request to place rhymes in fond du lac county was withdrawn. 3 a 75-year-old is charged in racine county with sexually assaulting two boys over the course of several years.one boy says... dennis kirt went to the defendant's house to ?move furniture? we are here near highway 16 and sawyer road.only cbs 58 spoke with a friend of the man who was hit, listen to her describe what happened. he was inside working on his car in his garage. and some girl came off the exit ramp here and you can see her debris is all over the road. and ended up in his garage and pushed his car against the it all happened around 7:30 last night.the man's friend told us he was pinned in the wreckage and was taken by flight for life to the hospital with severe leg injuries.... his condition is unknown this morning.the woman who was driving the car was able to get out on her own. investigators are trying to figure out what happened. we're expecting to learn more later this morning. 3 new this morning ... a man is seriously hurt after an overnight shooting in milwaukee. it happened around 11 last night... near north 26th and west galena streets. police say a 44-year-old man has several gunshot wounds.he was taken to the hospital for treatment. the shooting is under investigation. 3 president-elect donald trump travels to grand rapids, michigan...the fourth stop of his battleground state, thank-you tour.at a rally in des moines, iowa yesterday...trump touted his selection of iowa governor ambassador to china.earlier -- the president-elect tapped fast food ceo andrew puzder to serve as his labor secretary. 3 55 wisconsin counties have finished counting ballots for the presidential recount ... including milwaukee county. that's according to milwaukee unty clerk ...joe czarnezki so far.... both donald trump and hillary clinton have added votes to their total. the elections commission says most vote changes are due to human error. the commission also says all counties are on track to finish the recount by the december 12 deadline. 3 and after three days...the recount in michigan has come to a halt.a judge lifted an order that forced a statewide review of ballots. only twenty of michigan's eighty-three counties had begun counting. jill stein of the green party who asked for the recount is still pushing for one in pennsylvania. 3 happening now... a local ski resort isn't waiting for this weekend's snow. they're making their own. little switzerland is putting the snow making efforts into overdrive today -- putting snow all over the hill. hill. looking out there julie?
