"vectolex c-g".. they y they will not be using it in the city. for more information go to our website cbs 58 dot-com. 3 community leaders are warning of more unrest in milwaukee... if the body cam footage isn't released from the officer involved shooting that touched members of the the aclu, coaltion for justice and wisconsin jobs now were unite din their request yesterday during a press conference. they say authorities should first show the footage to the family... then release it to the public.the wisconsin d-o-j is in charge of the investigation, and says it's not prepared to release any of the video evidence right now. 0-15 without transparency and the release of the body cam video we fear the unrest that be greater than we saw last weekend. milwaukee can not continue more civil unrest. unrest. milwaukee police chief ed flynn says the video is mostly silent because of an audio delay when switching on the body camera. 3 federal officers from alcohol tobacco and firearms were out sifting through thte rubble of one of the eight businesses burned during the unrest last weekend. they used a backhoe to remove large debris at the o'reilly's auto parts store on fond du lac avenue. collecting evidence for law enforcement. a 10-thousand dollar reward is offered for information that leads to the arrests and conviction of those responsible. the state department of justice is asking for help to better understand the nts before the officer-involved shooting that sparked the unrest in sherman park. park.the d-o-j set up an online tip-forfor anyone to submit inrmation.they're asking people to submit facts -- not speculation or hersay. we've posted a link on our the streets on milwaukee's north side... to promote peace. peace.the group stopped at homes.. speaking with residts about improving peace and understanding.the walk started in the linsday heights neighbhorhood... and even though that area is more than a mile east of sherman park, organizers say this past weekend's violence made the event even more important. we're hoping that people will take the time out of their day to just stop, get to know each other, and really try to address some of the issues that we're facing from my perspective it came from a feeling that we need to differences, we have that similarity of peace that we all want 3 3 the walk was planned before the unrest over the weekend.a ci worker also went along, noting problems the city can work on. 3 stay with cbs 58 for the latest devlopments on the unrest in the sherman park neighborhood -- both on-air and online, at bs 58 dot com. 3 an update now in the slender man stabbing case.. the two girls accused of stabbing a friend 19 times to appease the man are returning to court today. just last month an appeals court ruled morgan geyser and anissa weier will be tried as adults.they're lawyers told cbs 58 they're interested in seeking an appeal to the state supreme court but they'll have to come up with new evidence or reasoning if they expect the justices to take up the case. we hope to learn more about that during a status conference ina waukesha county courtroom this afternoon. if convicted the girls could see a maximum 60 years in prison. 3 police say theives are stealcr courses... and it is costing their victims thousands of dollars.there are reports of thefts at courses in new berlin, north prairie, grafton, and mot pleasant. and police believe they're all connected.the thieves look for unlocked cars in the course parking lot, grab credit cards, then charge thousands on those cards. take a good look at these photos... police suspect these people used the stolen cards. if you recgonize them... call the ozaukee county sheriff's office. the betty brinn children's museum... is making sure kids have the supplies they need ?950? (sa-ville) smith was ?killed? when police say... he refused to drop a gun. the groups--- including the "a-c-l-u"... "coalition for justice".. .and "wisconsin jobs now" say... the community ?won't be able to move forward? until that video is put out.they say... authorities should ?first? show the footage to the family... then release it to the ?public.? 34-53 "the mayor at he conference said that he saw a still photo of the video. i don't know why he didn't have 25 seconds to look at the video. but he has a still photo from the video which showed the gun in mr. smith's hand. and i'll take his word at that. but wiout the sound, without knowing when the order torop the gun was given, without knowing when the shots were fired - just havg a n in the hand doesn't tell the public what they nto kno know." 3 the wisconsin department of justice is in charge of the investigation and says... it's ?not? prepared to release the video right now.milwaukee police chief " flynn" delay" when switching on the body camera. 3 the d-o-j is asking for tips about the officer-involved shooting.in fact, it now has an ?online tip form? set up for anyone to submit information.they're asking people for ?facts? -- not speculation or hearsay. we have a link to that tip form at cbs-58-dot-com. looking ahead...there will be a "listening session" tonight in milwaukee's sherman park neighborhood...in wake of last weekend's unrest in the city. city.it will take place from six to nine at parklawn assembly of god r boulevard and roosevelt drive. milwaukee mayor tom barrett gave credit to the faith community in helping keep the calm this week. he said members "stepped up and made a big difference." 3 hundreds gathered at "all saints parish" last night to ?pray for peace? after the violent weekend in milwaukee. the archdiocese of milwaukee held a mass--- calling on people to come together... communicate... and work toward finding ?solutions? to the unre. unrest.a seven-year-old who lives in sherman park was among the crowd with her grandmother.she watched the ayden, 7-years-old 01;41;09 i came here to pray for peace in the city and hope that whatever violence is going on, about the burning down houses, i hope it stops pretty soon. soon. the archbishop the archbishop was ?traveling? and unable to attend. 3 stay with cbs 58 for the latest devlopments on the unrest in the sherman park neighborhood -- both on-air and online, at cbs 58 dot com. police officer is back on duty following a deadly officer involved shooting last month. the washington county district attorney ruled the shooting justified. police were called to a home on stone-wall drve back on july first..when they arrived they say they found 58-year-old ?helmut wihowski? trying to slash a woman with a large knife.when he wouldn't put the knife down... officer kyle henning opened fire. the woman accused of driving a stolen car through a red light today for a competency hearing. hearing.23-year old jasmine ray is challenging her intial competency ruling.ray wanted to plead not guilty by reason of insanity... but a doctor's report didn't support that. another report stated she ?is mentally competent. she is charged with two counts of reckless homicide.we will get a decision when she appears in court at 10 this morning. an new organization is trying to spread the message of ?hope and positivity? to young people."your circumstances don't have to define your future..."that's the message foundation" -- which is just blocks from milwaukee's sherman park. park.its founder is now more determined than ever.... to bring hope back to the neighborhood. 25-year-old bianca willaims started the foundation over a year ago.. families and youth in the area count on her for basic needs, like clothes, shoes and food. her mission starts with kids who can't afford summer programs.so this year-- she hired dozens of them to clean up the neighborhood.
