Mostly cloudy, but there will be plenty of sunshine. If youre right at the shoreline, that easterly breeze will keep things in the 70s. Finishing the day, getting closer and closer to a sundown at 7 00. You get away from the shoreline and you warm up to the 80s. Out west, hartford could hit 90. Its not that samsung was trying to rush it to market, but they got a bad batch of batteries. Samsung is offering to replace the phone, prompting Government Action on top of a faa, now telling passengers to not turn on or charge these devices onboard an aircraft. This is a serious thing. You put something that creates fire and noxious fumes on an airplane . That is about as dangerous as it gets. Faa tests have shown what Consumer Devices and large shipments of lithium ion batteries can do onboard a plane. They stayed inside the building and wouldnt come out. Three were arrested. They are due in court on monday. Police Union Request denied. A judge ruling boston polices Body Camera Pilot Program can move forward. Newscenter 5s David Bienick with when it will w arriving for a community evenlt at a church in roxboro, the Police Commissioner said the judges ruling gives the Body Camera Program the official goahead. Its lousy that it played out in the court versus the union. I dont like to say its a victory. Were going to move forward. Following a twoday hearing, the judge criticized the police union for insisting the Camera Program be voluntary, then telling its members not to volunteer. Be particularly unfair to enjoin the commissioners order when the unions alleged injury is insignificant part selfinflicted. We hope they will take the time between now and monday to reconsider that approach and to embrace Body Camera Pilot Programs. Hes disappointed but promise to work to make the cameras a success. New york and philadelphia both have already started testing cameras in Pilot Programs. Those Pilot Programs both began in 2014. Los angeles is a lot further along. 860 cameras are now in use, but the city council there approved a fiveyear plan nearly every officer, 7,000 of them. Chicago has 2,000 cameras on the streets. The Pilot Program began last year. Has expanded to seven police districts. That city is under fire because officers involved in the chase and shooting death of paul oneal this summer were wearing body cameras, but they didnt capture the fatal shots. Worcester police have released the name of the man shot and killed outside of a West Boylston street yesterday morning. A 20yearold from worcester was also shot but is recovering. The headmaster of a prestigious braintree prep school is facing charges after getting caught in a sex sting. Stephen bliss is accused of making a deal to have sex with an undercover detective for money. Detectives arranged to meet the 46yearold at a mcdonalds.
