an attempted kidnapping in roxbury. police asking for the public's help. emily: sera congi is live in roxbury where parents are on edge. sera: they are. parents are concerned and the victim's family as well as police hoping anyone with information will come forward. the journey to school begins early in this roxbury neighborhood. this attempted kidnapping near a bus stop, parents are more watchful than ever. >> for something to happen in your backyard like this is terrible. sera: boston police say at the corner of blue hill avenue in brooklyn street a young girl walking alone was grabbed before 6:30 tuesday morning. the stepfather of the victim says she managed to get away with the help of a bystander. >> punched him and she started screaming. person of interest hoping someone can identify him and potentially help solve the crime. >> please report him. sera: parents at the bus stop near where the incident happened say kids should never be alone. >> children should not be walking to the bust up by themselves. >> concerned parent because you have a lot of kids who come out here alone. probably not the best thing. sera: the girl is said to be around 12 years old. she was shaken but not injured. her stepfather said she was insistent she go to school. erika: breaking news just been. police investigating a report a woman sexually assaulted on a bike path in marblehead. salem police are helping in the investigation as we get new information we will bring it to found in south austin. the man's remains were discovered after 7:00 this morning in marine park. police say there's no obvious cause of death including if he may have been the victim of a crime. police have identified the school bus driver involved in yesterdays crash in quincy. they say mark woods was behind the wheel when the bus lost control hit a fire hydrant and poll, an suv and finally a house. children on the bus were brought to hospitals for minor injuries. the principal or assistant principal at bern is any elementary school will ride the bus each morning and afternoon until the students feel safe. erika: to everett or firefighters are investigating the cause of this fire at two multifamily homes. flames started before 11:00 last night on floyd street and fled -- and spread to a neighboring triple-decker. 10 people were left homeless. after plummeting through a concrete floor at his home. hundreds of pounds of concrete dangled over his head. the man who was rescued his home recovering and is doing ok. he did not want to go on camera but his wife said that he does want to express his gratitude. antoinette: it was not what topsfield firefighters expected when they heard the call for a porch collapse. >> floor, you would imagine that underneath the concrete floor there was probably to or some type of support system. just a big cavern. antoinette: a man trapped with trunks of concrete surrounding him. after the cement floor at his screened in porch gave way. >> it was dark and wet. no lighting or exit. antoinette: the man had his cell phone and was able to call 911. with hundreds of pounds of unstable concrete overhead. >> making sure we did not disturb the porch so it did not fall on top of them. antoinette: they lowered themselves in and pulled the man out in a rescue basket. the entire operation taking about 20 minutes. why was that underground space there in the first place?
