turning to the weather, some much-needed rain. cindy, depending on where you are, you are seeing different amounts. cindy: some is better than the. light rain across the area of for much of the morning. take a look at what has fallen so far. most areas under a corner, in some areas, under .1 inches of rain. we continue with over the next few hours, there will be downpours. some of these, rain may come down hard enough to produce localized flash flooding. you can see the rain over boston north and west. to the south, we have some heavier rain showing up down toward where ham, the cape. the rain may even get a little open water. to the north and west, things are drying out but guys are starting to brighten and there could be one or two isolated thundershowers that pop up to the rest accused of attempting to kidnap and rape a woman in but that's not the only disturbing accusation. newscenter 5's sera congi is live in east boston where that man is facing a judge. sera: the alleged attack alone is disturbing enough, but prosecutors say this suspect that his child in the car when all of this went down. gerardo portillo of lynn, is accused of trying to lure a woman into his car monday night in winthrop. prosecutors say when the 25-year-old woman refused, he got out of the car and followed propositioned her for a sex act, grabbed her around the throat, threw her to the ground, and tried to pull her shorts down. portillo also allegedly punched her. the victim's screams scared him off. what is also disturbing, police say, the suspect left his three-year-old daughter in the backseat of his car when he allegedly got out and attacked the woman. so he's also charged with chil this morning, prosecutors also added aggravated assault and battery. he's being held without daring escape. kevin gearhart made a break for it yesterday while he was being transported to court from the valley street jail in manchester. he hid inside a garage, and got away when the transport van left. he was still in an orange jumpsuit and shackles when he allegedly tried to steal a woman's truck at a gas station. >> i told him to get out of my release, don't be scared. i am supposed to be out. erika: a passing manchester police officer spotted the orange and took gearhart back into custody. bill cosby has dropped a lawsuit demanding the accuser and his criminal case repay the money will stay along with one that honors the police officers lost in dallas. boston city leaders are effort to rein in expenses. the city's chief financial officer is urging departments like police, fire, and transportation to shave an additional 5% off overtime. he says that could save the city $11.6 million. the savings would help pay for core city programs like education and curbing homelessness. a change in leadership at suffolk university. board members ousted president margaret mckenna after an lavish spending. school leaders also claimed mckenna verbally abused employees. an acting president will take mckenna's place during the search for a new one. mckenna is vowing to fight the firing. the mspca has received a $2 million donation to help handle a massive animal cruelty case. hundreds of animals were found dead or her last week at a large farm in westport. authorities have been at the site for more than a week. local farmers will be donating their equipment over the next animals. shower through the evening. look at these temperatures, 70's less human tomorrow. a wedge of high pressure building in tomorrow. that will bring in some more showers on sunday but it doesn't look like
