After a fire tore through their dorchester home. Firefighters were called to 29 alpha road just about 5 45 this evening. The fouralarm fire was under control in less than an hour. But not before destroying three families homes just a day after christmas. The second floor family had been preparing to host a holiday dinner. After my mom got done cooking she ran fire, fire and everybody ran out. So when we got outside you can see the fire at the first floor window. And it was just crazy. Juli boston fire investigators believe the fear started on the first floor when a candle got too close. Everything is gone. Its all gone. Juli robinson told newscenter floors got out just in time. Thanks to those on the first floor who ran upstairs to alert everyone else. We got a lot of family and stuff. But its just never going to be the same. And ill never forget ts. Police report that a hunter discovered human remains in a wooded area off mendon street. The situation is being investigated as an unattended death. Attorney office is now involved. In texas reports of five dead after a tornado touched down near dallas. Flooding is the other devastating issue and roads and homes under water from the deep south to the southwest. The southern edge is going down in texas. And they have all kinds of things going on. There are tornado watches out tonight and theres snow going on in the western part of that state and they could pick up as much as 18 inches of snow out toward el paso. Before its all over with. This area is staying out here but we are on the northern fringes of that and we got rain right on our doorstep. Weve had a few sprinkles but this is the main focus of rain that will be moving in overnight tonight. Dont be surprised if you have some downpours offer night tonight and especially tomorrow morning. Especially any of you early risers. Heres the way it comes in. Rain. 6 00 right on the city. But then look at this. As we head toward late morning, we may start to push most of this rain out. And there may even be a little bit of thin overcast that would allow our temperatures to climb up really nicely tomorrow. And then we start to talk about the threat of snow on tuesday morning. All of whom live in brazil. The family here now beginning the tough process of sending them home. Really concerned that we were trying to do right now is about taking the body down to brazil. Because everybody wants to see him for the last time. Reid the gas leak is believed to have come from the boiler in the basement. The unit remains condemned as does the adjoining unit. And just the day before he was found dead, he was hospitalized, complaining of symptoms caused by c. O. Poisoning. He felt a lot of headache. A lot of pain. Bob Boston Police nabbed three breakin suspects. The men from lynn, attempted to enter a home on saratoga street morning. One was armed with bat and another with a knife. 23yearold jose ventura, 20yearold Jeremy Ventura and 33yearold Francisco Ramirez were arrested and charged with armed home invasion. They will be arraigned on monday. And an everett man will face two charges following a wild standoff that had an entire neighborhood on edge. Newscenter 5 cameras were there when 53yearold mark lavoine emerged from his summer street home yesterday after five long hours of coaxing by police. But shortly after police wrestled him to the ground, his house erupted in flames. Police say lavoine will be charged with discharging a firearm and disorderly conduct. A vigil tonight to remember a fallen Woburn Police officer. Officer jack maguire was shot and killed during a robbery at the Kohls Department store five years ago today. Over 100 family and friends maguire lost his life to remember him. Its important that we recognize our heroes. And jack is a hero. Mike you have to go back to the first day of the month to find a month that was below normal and it was just barely. But look at this. 50degree mark. That is unprecedented. This is going to go down as one record. And it is going to smash all records at this pace. Which is over 11 degrees above normal. Now, its so warm were not talking about snow. Which we would typically be talking about. About rain. Are out there. A couple of other batchers and this area moving its way through. Not getting ground reports. Or there. But if you back off and you look at the picture out here, and thats whats going to be coming in overnight tonight. So its scattered showers until those will kick their way in. Temperatures, theyre not going to get much colder than they are right now. A southeasterly breeze and temperatures are as cold as they will get. Overnight tonight. Tomorrow morning, early risers going to run into some rain. Probably some fog out there as well. But the afternoon i think the rain shuts off. And we get a little bit of clearing into the skies. I call it mostly cloudy right now but with a little bit of sunshine and look at the temperature. 52. Yes. 60 degrees. Some places are going to be warm tomorrow. So we continue that warming trend. But this is the last day. Because monday, highs are only going to be to the 30s. Whats happening tomorrow morning the mildar moving in. Thats where the rain is and it lifts northward it purks the rain out of here. Then this cold front to the through there could be a spot shower into the afternoon. But i think the hint of sunshine is going to offset that somewhat and behind this cold front here it comes. The cold air. And that is going to be settling in for several days. Even when we start to warm up, not nearly as warm as what we have been. So overnight with all that rain, a quarter to a half inch of rain seems pretty likely. Now we need to go into the other event that will happen. Thats on tuesday morning. You heard about all that Severe Weather out here to the west. That storm system is going to lift its way northward and as it does so we have the cold air in place. So by the time we talk about late monday night, into tuesday morning, in the Early Morning hours, we have snow breaking out across the area. And also mixing rain and thats the key to this forecast. How much warm air is going to get in here and how much of it will turn to mix and how much will turn over to rain . So at 6 00 in the morning you got snow across much of the area. It is going to be slow commute tuesday morning. But that mix will start to lift its way northward and the rain will so that by 2 00 were kind of really shutting off the snow. But were still going to keep the precipitation going until a few things to keep in mind. It begins after midnight as snow. It will change snow to sleet. Kind of an icy mix at about 10 00 a. M. In the morning and then at the coast, it should change over to rain. However, inland around lunch time or so it should still remain sleet inland and we wind it down by late afternoon. The evening commute will be a little bit better. So how much snow are we talking about . Its difficult to put an exact number on this at this point because we just working at how much warm air will mix in. So i think generally one to three. Lesser amounts as you look to the south. And perhaps a little bit higher as you look up toward the we could see three to six. And ski country to the north is going to pick up a lot of snow out of this. Joe enjoy the warmth tomorrow. Its 56 degrees. Because on monday, its 20 degrees colder for a high temperature. Morning. Than it is during the afternoon. Theres that snow to ice to rain that takes place on tuesday. Wednesday, we warm up a little bit with a hint of sunshine. There is a chance of seeing some rain. Wednesday night into thursday warm enough that we will probably be talking about rain but there may be a little bit things off for the new year and next weekend we may get partly cloudy skies and perhaps a few flurries.
