obviously we're on the warm side of the jet stream. we'll see the jet stream shift a little bit temporarily this weekend. middle of the weekend. latter part of the weekend but early next week, we'll go back into this pattern again. it may not be in the 70's but cibc 'tis could be achievable all over again. by next tuesday. and certainly not done with the this is much above average for this time of the year. today's boston my was 73. the average high is 56 for this date. the month is young. and only three days old. but so far, we're running almost nine degrees warmer than normal. mild night in boston. and considering it is november. 60 degrees. at 11:00 at night. just a gentle breeze. but with the clear skies, and the dry air and the light winds, like 20 degrees cooler in some of our out lying areas like orange 39, concord is 42. norwood is 40. so we'll be in the 30's and the cool spots early tomorrow. but boston will be in the upper 40's. we've got another exquisite day with wall-to-wall sunshine. but a little bit cooler. believe it for the a weak cool front is coming through overnight. very weak. it will be a little bit of a seabreeze and right along 60 for a high temperature there. but it will still be in the 60's over the interior. not the 70's of today but at least beautiful weather is continuing. high pressure pretty much in firm control. well, it's going to get warm again thursday and friday. but this time we may be introducing some cloudiness at times along with the warmer weather. and actually we'll have almost somewhat muggy weather by later friday. into friday night. which could lead to a few showers before a cool front cools us down. right now, i'm forecasting a record tying 73 on friday. here in boston. so that gives you an idea that we're not done with the warmth yet. but we're speaking about the warmth. here's something i wanted to show you. the last 10 years of snowfall in boston, the last 10 winters, we've had our ups and downs. but a couple of big ones. especially last winter. so the average over this 10 years, over 53 inches, the highest average snowfall over any 10-year period in boston since we've been keeping records in the late 1800's. that's kind of interesting. let's check out the next seven days for you. and there you have it. a beautiful, beautiful day coming up for you tomorrow. and we'll have some clouds mixing with the sun both thursday and friday. approaching 70 thursday. probably in the 70's on friday. it could be a spot shower. and then we're cooler on saturday. colder on sunday. early next week. and just want to show you some of the clouds that could start thursday. and linger into friday. so it may not be as brilliantly sunny the entire time. as we've had at the last few days and as we'll have it for you tomorrow. but overall, for a seven-day forecast in november, not too shabby. i think you'll agree with that. heather: sparkling. ed: sparkling indeed. we were talking about this. parking can get quite expensive heather: the prying tag on this one is unbelievable. the single parking spot that's for the girl scout meeting... for the soccer team... for the girl scout meeting... are you having?! dropped on thousands more items. t[ duck quacking and wind whistling ] [ copier whirring ] [ beeps ] [ classical music plays ] hmm. the new turbodown jacket: t tested tough in this price can't be right... that's the right price! it's that low. what other things on this list can't be right?" looks like a list of can't be right's." seriously? at stop&shop, prices have just dr opped on thousands more items. my stop&shop. heather: i'm not telling you anything you don't know. parking in boston in a usually comes in a big cost but this spot, beacon hill garage, is going for more money than condos in the city. ed: ready? $650,000. heather: that's crazy. ed: $650,000. that doesn't even include the monthly security fees that are attached to it. it's a spot in brimmer street garage. and it has its perks now. heated. so obviously you don't have to shovel snow. because it's inside. there is a gas pump inside there. so it has the ability to gas you up before you pull out. all those things are good. that single parking spot priced per square foot is more expensive pro rattay than the $37 million tower millennium penthouse. brimmer street garage. $650,000. and the kicker is you get on top of that, you have a monthly payment. it looks like $290 or something. heather: for people whose money is -- no problem. ed: if you haven't heard about this by now a. gruesome injury to chris kelly of the bruins. andrew:p the one thing about soccer that i like the most is when i put my uniform on, the age just leaves me. the ages leave all of us. we simply become kids again. r i think all of us play for that very reason. t it makes us the child we once were. p the years just glide away, and i'm back to where i was. p you are that little andy guy who used to be down in me, and i get to be that person all over again. >> now sportscenter 5 with mike wankum. mike: only on the ice for three seconds chris kelly fractured his left femur which is his thigh bone. and taken to mass general and have surgery tomorrow morning. he is out six to eight months. probably be the end of his bruins career because he's a free agent. here it is right here. nobody hit him. the referee tried to get out of his way and looked like he was -- just gave way under him and just buckled. obviously you can tell he's in enormous pain. grabbing his leg. you can see as he's helped off the ice his legs are just dangling underneath him. and you knew it was a very serious injury. one of the good guys, and really provides one of those intangibles. in the locker room, on road trips. you name it. number 91 in white on your left is tyler seguin. remember him? the first dallas shot of the night and it's a goal. later on after the bruins are up 2-1, dallas scored four straight goals. one of them, tyler certifyingen. that's goal number two on the night. and then just a minute into the third third. tyler seguin again comes back. hat trick. against a team that traded him away. 5-3 dallas the final. and nfl trading deadline passed at 4:00 p.m. patriots passed on any deals which are rare in football. just too much to learn. especially for offensive players. and the patriots are on the long end of playing two games in five days. >> i think that two games in five days. so get your body, you know, rested up. and come back. and be ready to work. so again, having a couple of days there to relax and get your body back to feeling good. and practicing hard and getting ready to play another tough opponent. mike: red sox have picked up the option of clay buchholz who will be paid $13 million this season. . the question is what do they do with him? buchholz the opening day starter this season. but for the sixth year in a row he wound up on the zabled list. and red sox pitchers and catchers will report on february 18. their first workout on february 19. and the first full squad workout is on february 24. we will be down there for you. covering the red sox as john farrell comes back. and it could be a very new look boston red sox team. city today? cars just pulled off the interstate highway to get to the parade and the rally. look at this. they expected about 200,000 people. look at how people just walking. leaving their cars. and just walking downtown. and wait until you see the shot outside of union station. the mayor of kansas city said that there were 800,000 people there. which is about twice the size as the population of downtown kansas city. >> you all want to be politically correct? i'm not a politically correct person. we whupped their [beep]. mike: jonny gomes. jonny gomes. jonny gomes. 800,000 people today for the kansas city royals. heather: that was pretty impressive. we know what it's like to wait that long for it. ed: they didn't wait -- 1985. heather: 30 years. mike: jonny gomes, he wasn't even on the active roster for the world series. but he looked there.
