Today students at monroe local schools are working to make sure violence doesnt come through their front doors. Doors. This all started in response to the School Shooting at nearby madison high school. 9 oys timyka artist is live with more on what students are doing today. This is something that the folks here at Monroe School district are passionate about. Thats why they are doing their part to prevent another School Shooting from happening here they put together this video to promote this special campaign. Students who organized all of this spent days making fliers and posters to get the word out that they are standing behind madison. And encouraging their peers to stop the violence before it begins. It nearly three weeks ago that police say 14 yo James Hancock opened fire inside the cafeteria at students and injuring two others. Students here at monroe say what happened at madison can happen anywhere today theyll be holding a special program to launch this anti violence campaignit will start w a rally later on here at the high school. Breaking overnight. One person is recovering after being shot inside a clifton area restaurant. Police say the man was shot in the leg just before 1 am inside the elephant walk at the corner of clifton and mcmillan. He was taken to Uc Medical Center with nonlife threatening injuries. There is no suspect information at this time but police say if you know anything call crimestoppers the tristate mother who police says admitted to putting her four year old stepson into scalding water. Will appear in court anna ritchie is charged with child endangerment. But that will likely be changed to a more serious charge. The Warren County coroner says Austin Cooper died from those burns. Ritchies bond was more than tripled yesterday to 350thousand dollars. Austins father found him. And called 911 because his son wasnt breathing. Also due in court this morning. The tristate mother charged in the death of her twoyear old daughter. Rebekah kinner will enter a plea. Police say her boyfriend. Bradley young. Beat Kinsley Kinner to death last year.
