>> reporter: mary, fortunately no one was hurt in the fire, it started at this home, and you can see the back of it is charred, and it's completely gutted, and this is at laurel avenue in chestnut street. in the last few hours, firefighters finally put this out. we want to show you what the fire looked like when it start at 1:30 this morning, incredible pictures, and the flames were intense. you could see them 10 feet high from the home. the fire chief says a man was inside when the fife started but got out safely before crews arrived. these flames spread fast and burned both homes next door. one was under construction, and no one was living there. a family informs the other one and got out safely. we just saw them standing outside, wrapped in blankets, and they were definitely shaken up. the neighbors have been in here watching the scene for hours. >> the people got out. >> reporter: how many people were in there? devastated a home in carney. i lana gold has more. >> reporter: the fire was intense, starting at this home at 1:30. use were able to put it out moments ago. the back is charred, and the flames burned the home next door, but fortunately no one was hurt. look at the video that was shot right after the fire started. laurel avenue and chestnut street. you can't miss the orange glow. the flames were at least 10 feet high. the home where the fire started is here. but escaped before the crews alived. the flames spread fast, melting the siding on both homes next door. one was under construction, no one was living there. a family was in the other home and got out safely. >> reporter: neighbors have been worried and watching the scene for hours. describe what you saw. you woke up to this? >> i woke up new information on the deadly shootology after green cab driver in the bronx. police release sud say lance video showing the suspect in the case. 39-year-old barry marmazued up his passenger, and the passenger shot him in the head. he was pronounced dead at the scene. he's the father of three, and he and his wife were expecting their fourth child. new information on p a shooting in brooklyn that
