They believe this is the man theyre looking for responsible for attacking a young woman and putting her community on alert. Ive never seen the person thats on the posters. So you know, they know that theyre being looked for, theyre not going to be in the area. A wild crash in new jersey sent two people to the hospital. Take a look at this video from chopper 2 over the scene just a short time ago. Emergency crews worked to free overturned suv. The hospital. No word on their condition. Police are now trying to figure out what caused the vehicle to overturn. Residents in a Long Island Community are surrounded by devastation after a fastmoving fire destroyed several homes and families lost everything. Ilana gold is live. Reporter mary, the people who live on this block tell us that the fire was a huge set back after sandy and heres why. Take a look at the damage. The scene out here is just incredible. The flames jump from home to home but this house in the the fire leveled the structure and now its a giant pile of rubble and some of the families lost absolutely everything. You cant miss the piles of burned up rubble and charred homes after a winddriven fire spread through the neighborhood on wednesday. Chopper 2 captured the fast moving flames. Embers torched a nearby wildlife refuge across the way. Thick smoke and ash filled the area. What is it look to walk out and see this damage . Investigators say an electrical short in a wallmounted air conditioner is to blame. A mother and child inside ran out as soon as they smelled smoke and now they have nothing left. This place is leveled. Neighbors tell us the family who lived here planned to move out soon to make repairs from superstorm sandy. The house next door now condemned. Surveillance video shows the driver still going after he hit sunday morning. Police have released new video of two men they say are robbing taxi drivers in several queens neighborhoods. They say in many of the 14 cases, they approach the drivers after they have hopped out of the cabs. Police say they flash a gun, demand cash and run off with the money. They are accused of stealing nearly 6,000 and several credit cards and phones since march 3rd. The death of a cyclist in brooklyn has local leaders demanding a crack down on Truck Drivers who go offroute. Reporter friends honor the life of the 33yearold with flowers and candles placed at the corner of 6th avenue and Sterling Place where he was killed while riding his bike. He was always on the bike. So he is probably 90 for the morning bike ride. Reporter police say he was headed south on 6th avenue in the same direction as a large truck when he collided with the back tires. He may have found himself realized the truck was, you you know, passing and he got clipped by the back tires. Reporter the Brooklyn Borough president called attention to the fact that large 18wheelers like the one in the crash are not permitted on 6th avenue without a permit. Police say the driver in this accident was issued a summons for driving offroute. This map from the new York City Department of transportation shows the accepted truck routes all over the city including brooklyn. 6th avenue and park slope is not an accepted route. Residents say despite the regulation, trucks often roll through and claim police rarely stop them. When you see spinach in the market, i love loose leaf spinach because that means the leaves are able to breathe. You want to make sure you dont see a lot of yellowing. Predominantly it has a deep, green color and the leaves are nice and crisp. When they wilt, you get a strong odor. So give it a little bit of a whiff. It should smell nice and fresh. When you bring it home, store it. I like to store it in a paper towel and wrap it up or keep it as open as possible. And wash it only before you use it. That being said because the water will wilt it quicker. You use it. And its one of my favorite things to saute but two cups cooked. Dont overcrowd the pan but have a lot onhand. And do it in batches.
