[ cheers and applause ] we're back, now, with growing concerns about what your kids are being exposed to online. >> jo ling kent has that story. good morning. >> reporter: youtube is facing complaints from parents who says youtube kids app allows inappropriate videos to slip through its fitters. a and children are watching them. we went to youtube to get answers. parents are sounding off about youtube kids. saying inappropriate videos like this are slipping through its filters and reaching children. but parent tweeting, we recently purged youtube kids from all devices because it got way too weird. another parent posting on facebook, that's why my kids don't use youtube anymore. we saw the videos pop up more than once and it was disturbing. the concerns show videos with inappropriate, sometimes disturbing content. using well-known cartoon characters to lure children in. one example that slipped through, this video, entitled paw patrol babies, that shows characters in the show in violent situations. >> it's being created by independent animators. so, kids don't stand a chance. they see a title that references a character they love. and before they know it, they're watching something that's inappropriate. >> reporter: the head of creative content at youtube kids apologized. >> we work incredibly hard, day in and day out, to maybe youtube kids a family-friendly, kid-appropriate place for families and kids. you know, just put plainly, this content should not have been in the app. >> reporter: youtube kids was launched two years ago, as a family-friendly platform for children under 13. the company says videos for kids are chosen on age, algorithm and what your child is already watching. youtube says over the last 30 days, less than 00.005% of videos viewed have been removed from the kids' happen. the company admit no, sir automattive system is perfect. parents can block and flag videos. any video flagged goes to a team trained to review videos 24/7. >> one video is one video too many. and we strive to have that to be zero. >> reporter: as for what parents can do, seek out a trusted channel for kids online. update the parental controls you see in the app. and don't be afraid to be a helicopter pilot in this instant. if you can, use devices in an open area, like the kitchen or the living room. there's so much to juggle here, especially as the apps continue to change. guys? >> yep. >> let's get to the gadgets. >> this is for paretients who a type 1 or insulin dependent. this is the first needleless glucose monitoring system. they take a hand-held sensor. they put the sensor over the device. and it will measure the flood check blglucose, that's a littl high. and then, you administer your own insulin afterwards. in is an insulin pen. the thing that makes this different, is this is attached to an app. it's the inpen app. it tracks, sexucalibrates how m insulin you need. it's more accurate of the traditional way. >> are these expensive?
