Overnight, across country wave of protests in support of baltimore. In new york city demonstrators clashed with police. Dozens there were arrested. Its still unclear this morning just what happened to 25yearold freddie grey in the back of that police van. This morning, the Washington Post reports that a steel Baltimore Police document says a man shared the van with gray telling investigators, he her gray banging against the walls of the van believing he wanted to injure himself. That prisoner in jail was separated from gray with a metal partition and couldnt see him. Our nbc affiliate in baltimore says there are no evidence to support these games claims and the Police Commissioner said the trip was calm and quiet. It was widely anticipated that Baltimore Police would publicly release their investigation tomorrow. The Department Says instead it will turn that information over to the state attorneys office. We cant put out more information. It may jeopardize the case itself if anyone needs to be prosecuted. Reporter that is adding fuel to the frustration. Reporter Court Records reveal gray had a long rap sheet with a series of arrests for allegedly dealing drugs, assault and burglary.
