parking lot. >> we are handling it as a homicide. >> his attorney said his client was being attacked and in an effort to steapescape, he hit two other people. >> they see wh out. >> suge knight is cofounding death row labels one of the biggest hip hop labels of the 90s for snoop dogg and tupac. he served four years from a previous assault returning to prison again in 2003 for assaulting a parking lot attendant. just last year he survived being shot multiple times in a hollywood nightclub. if convicted, suge knight could face up to 30 years in prison. it happened shortly after a shoot for an upcoming movie, but no details on what started the argument. >> thank you very much. there is new information on the measles outbreak tied to disney theme parks in california. as more cases are diagnosed, health officials believe they know how it began. doctor natalie is an nbc news contributor. they say this was probably brought to the united states by a tourist who went to the theme park and spread the virus. why is that significant in stopping the outbreak? >> we can't close the borders and we can't have the same conversation as we did with ebola. the issue is internationally we are seeing much lower vaccination rates than here. our outbreaks are due to importing the cases from abroad as well as our non-vaccination rates here. >> it prompted action from a pediatrician in california who said he will no longer treat patients who have not been vaccinated for measles. parent who is choose not to give measles shots are not just putting their kids at risk but putting others at risk especially kids in my waiting room. how do you feel about doctors drawing this line. >> legally we are bound to treat patients and can't discriminate on the basis of philosophical or religious beliefs. his concern about the unvaccinated concern could be exposing people in the practice is valid. this opens up a discussion and it's something that the medical community as a whole will have to grapple with. >> a lot of people will talk about this. there have been cases in phoenix where the super bowl is playing. should people be concerned? >> if you are unvaccinated you should think twice about going. measles loves a lot of people in closed quarters. this is the kind of atmosphere that can spread. if you have young children and you are not vaccinated it applies to adults as well. we get more emotional when it comes to children. people have to be aware that they are making preparations. we have measles outposts and looking for people who might have that rash. it's a big deal. >> filled with smoke. a cell phone video shows a man on the platform smashing a train window and several passengers climbing out. apparently they had trouble getting the door open. the authority blamed the smoke on a propulsion system failure and said there was no cause for concern or danger over the incident. >> a jockey is facing felony charges accused of zapping a horse with a buzzer during a race. it happened earlier this month at the sam houston race park in texas. 43-year-old roman won that race but look closely. it looks like he is holding something in his left hand. buzzers are used to send an electrical shock through the horse, making the animal run faster. he faces up to ten years in jail. >> a hep ending for a koala bear we told you about. the bear is nicknamed jeremy and he received treatment for burned paws. he made a full recovery and has been released back into the wild. jeremy was injured in a bush fire. a photograph of him with all four paws soaking in medical >> he was good. even though we beat him. >> after high school he would serve in world war ii before meeting again when they played for indiana university this time as teammates. two years before jackie robinson crossed the color line he was a three-time all american. in 1949 he became the first african-american drafted by an nfl team and played professionally for six years following his retirement he and karl both now married returned for graduate work. >> it was then that we really became coaches together. >> me about when he went to see them on tuesday. >> i was not going to obey segregation signs. i knew that karl could sit downstairs and i removed that sign. i had that sign today. >> after a few years, they moved to arizona. george made indiana university and bloomington his home. and the friends fell out of touch until a few years ago as karl suffered through the final years of lucy's fight with alzheimers he wanted to reach out to his old friend. >> he said remember george tolliver? i said yeah. he said i would like to talk to him. she gave me a telephone call. he said karl what a gentlemen. your father was my friend. when it was not politically correct to be my friend. >> the friends became just that all over again. over weekly phone conversations and then in 2013 karl's wife passed. a year later, he suffered a stroke and in recovery he had one request. >> we have to call george. i have to hear his voice. >> karl had become a resident at black dale senior living that partnered with the wish of a lifetime foundation to make residents's lifelong dreams come true. his wish was to see his dear friend george again. >> i can't wait to shake his hand and give him a big hug. >> what are you feeling right now? >> a little bit of emotion. just the way it is. >> let's go see your friend. >> then a moment almost seven decades and two lifetimes in the making. >> karl how are you doing, baby? >> how are you doing?
