To take part in an annual military Training Exercise at the National Guard base there in cape cod. Now, Law Enforcement officials, both federal, state and even military have launched a massive search in an effort to find them. Now, what is still unanswered question here right now is whether this was a spur of the moment decision by these three soldiers to go on a sightseeing tour of america or whether this was well planned in advanced and why. Delaware state police and the National Transportation safety board are investigating this deadly crash. Xt involved only one vehicle, the bus. And every Single Person on board was injured. One man saying my wife, my wife, my wife. That keeps replaying in my mind. Reporter sunday afternoon drive turned deadly on this delaware highway when a tour bus carrying 50 people crashed and overturned. Delaware state police say the bus was traveling southbound on route 1 when it hit a curve on an offramp, flipping on to its roof. The bus continued sliding down a slight embankment, rotating on to its left side where it finally came to a stop. One adult female was underneath the bus where she was trapped underneath that bus. That woman died at the scene. Another woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The remaining 47 passengers on board and the driver suffered a range of injuries. Injuries vary widely. These patients, some have head injuries, some have injuries to their torso, ribs, abdomen, fractures, extremities. So multiple levels of injury. Reporter it is the worst possible nightmare for a hospital and parents. Newborn babies exposed while still in the nursery to tuberculosis, a disease, if left unchecked, could be deadly. She is one of more than 700 mothers in texas and new mexico, who had their children here in the last year. Tb is a serious but treatable disease. Reporter all of them got this alarming letter from the El Paso Department of health, warning their infant may have been infected with tb. A hospital employee who worked in the nursery was recently diagnosed with tuberculosis. Theyre not releasing her name but say she has been put on leave. Babies are vulnerable. Their immune systems are not as strong. Theyre at risk, without a doubt. We have taken actions that are designed to prevent a similar incident from occurring.
