I will break it down hour by hour to show how the temperatures climb in just a couple minutes a man shot and killed behind the wheel and that driver lost control and crashed his car, and matt delucia is live along the scene in the summerdale section of philadelphia. Tell us what you have learned this morning. Reporter rosemary, police are still here at the scene, and over here you can see where this all began, where the shooting happened. They have the evidence markers down there on the ground and investigators are at the scene and this happened shortly before 6 00 this morning, and you can see where the vehicle ended up. A car stopped at a light here on summerdale avenue at the boulevard and then a white cadillac pulled up alongside at the light and somebody shot into the victims car. The cadillac turned on the boulevard headed south but the victims car started swerving out of control across all lanes of the boulevard and crashing on the other side. The vick was pronounced dead shortly after 6 00 this morning, and the victim was shot several times in the upper body, and witnesses told the police what happened and there are no video cameras here, so that is making it difficult for the police to put it altogether. Homicide detectives are here and they have broken glass and the evidence markers and some of the shell casings, and the bullets fired. The crime tape still up, and the boulevard is open to all traffic here even though there are two separate scenes to the one incident that happened here early this morning, but again, just to recap, one man dead a. 39yearold shot to death while sitting in his car, and police are investigating and trying to look for the white cadillac and the person that shot him. New this morning, a row home fire in philadelphias row home district. There are no reports of injuries or word on how it started. A deadly crash claimed the life of a young woman in the andorra neighborhood. It happened at 12 30, a driver hit deer and lost control. The crash ripped the car in half. The 23yearold woman in the passenger seat died. The 27yearold man who driving had serious injuries. We just checked a short time ago, and the road is still closed in andorra. This Morning Police are investigating a carjacking. The suv crashed into a parked around 2 00 this morning. Nobody was hurt. We are working to find out if police have made any arrests yet in the case. Two people taken to the hospital after the fivecar crash along roosevelt boulevard are recovering this morning. Nbc10 was on the scene along the boulevard where a driver ram into parked cars, and one car owner said it will have a big impact on her car because she received her car as a donation to help transport her son with special needs. And authorities are trying to determine if speed was a factor in this crash. News out of Atlantic County where 16 people are under arrest after a drug and weapons bust.
