He has told us that right now they are awaiting a search warrant for this darkcolored Toyota Corolla with the right passenger door open. Police tell us three men were inside the car. They are now in custody, including one of them that was shot by an officer in the hospital. One woman related to one of the suspects is also in custody for allegedly calling the district and making terroristic threats. She showed up at the scene as well. Police patrolling, pulled up alongside the car. One man ran. The three inside the car were ordered out. One of those occupants came out of the vehicle with his hands tucked into his waistband area. The officers ordered him to remove his hands. He took a step toward the officers. At this point, they discharged their weapon, striking him in the arm. Reporter the forensic unit has marked more than one dozen casings in the car. I asked if more than one gun was involved. I was told they are not sure. The men had been attending a Birthday Party before the gun fire erupted. So far, no weapon has been found here near the scene. Thank you for having us. He is a 5yearold dog. He has been in and out of the shelter a few times actually, because he was jumping his fence, according to his owners. He is a big guy. He could stand to lose a few pounds. I think his new home needs a higher fence or maybe dont let him out in the yard alone or give him some exercise. He obviously wants to get out and explore and take some walks. His next owner needs to be a little bit more committed to him. He is a put bull mix. You are celebrating National Pitbull adoption month. All pits and pittype dog mixes are half price through tomorrow. Pits get a bad rap but they really are sweet, most of them. It is important to look at dogs as individuals. Pitbull isnt a breed. Any dog that has short hair, muscular and a big head is going to get labeled pitbull. Any owner will tell you they are loyal, extremely affectionate. He seems like he is fun with people. He is kind of a big dufus. We have been celebrating and trying crease awareness and tell positive stories about pitbulls by inviting people to send in photos and stories. We have gotten hundreds of submissions.
