Meteorologist krystal klei is tracking it all in the first alert neighborhood forecast. Once we get through the couple days, things change in the forecast. This is different from yesterday. Yesterday was cold. We are seven degrees colder right now in philadelphia than yesterday. Nine degrees colder in coatesville and vineland. A lot of us much more chilly than yesterday, and it was cold to start on your saturday. Here are your actual temperatures. Most of us in the teens. 12 for coatesville, 14 in dover. Atlantic city at 13 degrees and trenton at 15 degrees. On top of that, we still have all the snow on the ground. Roads have been for the most part treated, looking better than yesterday, but we are still tracking very cold air and snow that has not melted because temperatures never made it above freezing. Breaking news overnight, a new arrest and disturbing new details in the grisly death of 14yearold grace packer from Montgomery County. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live in new town bucks county to tell us about the developments that happened over the past few hours. Reporter the bucks County District attorney, rosemary, called this a rape and a murder fantasy that was carried out. Jacob sullivan was charged with homicide, rape and kidnapping among other crimes. Take a look at video from early this morning. This is 44yearold Jacob Sullivan at District Court in newtown. Arraigned just after midnight. Accused of murdering 14yearold grace packer. The Court Documents say sullivan and the girls adoptive mother, 41yearold sarah packer, beat, bound and gagged the girl and left her in the attic to die. The murder happened exactly six month ago today, in july. Investigators say sullivan raped the girl, drugged her and left her in the attic, expectth her to die from the summer heat and the attack she endured. She was still alive. Investigators say sullivan strangled and dismembered her body. She was reported missing by her adoptive mother. Authorities say that report was made after grace was already dead. Much of the details are much too graphic to describe. The District Attorney here sums up his thoughts on the case. The hours and the days leading up to her murder, probably the most horrible and traumatic that any person should ever have had to experience. Its just awful. Reporter the d. A. Speaking to us in newtown last night. Jacob sullivan and sarah packer had a sue said pack. Sullivan left a note to his kids before he and packer overdosed. Sarah packer was charged with hindering the investigation and efforts to find grace. She is out on bail awaiting trial. The d. A. New this morning, Philadelphia Police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a man at a nightclub. It happened just after 11 00 last night at the venue nightclub on mccallister street in feltonville. Detectives were on scene throughout the evening investigating, but so far, no arrests. Families from this Camden County apartment complex had to spend a cold night out of their homes after a fire forced them from their buildings. The fire started just after 10 00 at the lake view apartment complex on lower landing road in gloucester township. Crews say it was difficult to put out the fire because gas was fueling the flames. People who lived there told us when smoke filled the hallways, they rushed out of the buildings. You can see flames shooting from the roofs of the buildings. Residents went to the complexs Leasing Office to stay warm. Fortunately everybody made it out safely. Now to the snow that is frozen solid wherever it hasnt been plowed. We did have reports that were above the seveninch mark which is something we were expecting in some spots along the jersey shore. Reporter when Kelly Shriner found out her daughter was at high risk of developing a peanut allergy like her brother, she says the doctors advice was surprising. Give camden food containing peanuts. Reporter stunning new recommendations from the governments top authorities at the National Institutes of health, even children with a Family History should eat peanut products at a very early age to prevent allergies from ever developing. Certainly the timing is key, that there is a window where the immune system isnt going to recognize peanut is dangerous. That we believe happens very, very early. Reporter according to the guidelines, infants at high risk should be introduced to small doses of peanuts at four months with their doctors supervision. All other children can start at six months at home. The new guidelines suggest giving children peanut puffs or Peanut Butter dissolved in hot water and avoid whole peanuts and crackers which could cause choking.
