Governor wolf is calling the racist events here and across the state unacceptable. Investigators tell us the racist texts surfacing at u penn appear to be from oklahoma but dont know who is responsible. We also learned as many as 100 university of pennsylvania students were sent racial epithets and photographs of African Americans hanging from trees by nooses from users identifying themselves as daddy trump. The president elect graduated from penn as did some of his children. The social media app messages sent to students also came in the form of an invitation to daily lynching. Makes me worried about whats to come, i dont know if it is just cyber or this can become tangible. New from overnight, one person in the hospital following a house fire in philadelphia. It happened in olney after 1 00 this morning. Crews were able to bring it under control in minutes. We are working to find out more about the victims in the hospital and what caused this fire. In the transition, looks like one of the top surrogates, new Jersey Governor Chris Christie is taking on a lesser role. Christie is vice chair of the attention process being replaced by Vice President elect mike pence. Governor christie took charge of transition preparations during the summer but yesterday the president elect tapped pence to take over. Two former aides to governor Chris Christie filed for new trials in the bridgegate case yesterday. You may remember last week a jury convicted them of fraud and conspiracy. Prosecutors accuse them of organizing traffic jams to retaliate against a north jersey mayor who did not endorse christie in 2013. The governor hasnt been charged in the case and denies any knowledge of the scheme. Bill cosby expects to restart his hollywood career and be cleared of sex assault charges. His lawyer made that statement as part of the defamation lawsuit against the comedian. The lawyer trying to get a judge to seal documents about information on how much money he makes. Seven women are suing him, argue he has no future in show business and you wont be hurt by disclosing that information. Dozens of women claim he forced himself on them and assaulted them, one allegation dated back to the 1960s. Newly released video shows a haddon officer hanging on as a truck speeds off in a traffic stop. The officer let go before it plowed into parked cars on october 29th. The suspect then tries to runoff and is shot during a fight with the officer which you see here. In the video you can hear the officer say he was unaware his weapon went off. The suspect is in jail and authorities are investigating this shooting.
