We are looking for a windy afternoon with peak wind gusts between 35 and 40 Miles Per Hour. That will be later on today. Plenty of sunshine and less humidity as a cold front moves through later on. I think thats an older picture because the sun is officially up. Look at these temperatures in and around the area. Were close to 80 degrees already in philadelphia, south jersey and at the jersey shore. 75 out in the pennsylvania suburbs. Lehigh valley, 77 degrees. Just a few light clouds around, but we are looking at steamy temperatures. If you havent been outside just yet, you may want to get out there early. If youre a jogger, you like to bike, you may want to get your workout done early. The temperatures are going to be moving upward. Doppler radar showing we are dry. Crews are working to put out a fire at an Apartment Building at 43rd and chestnut streets. You can see that smoke billowing from the top of the building. Were told no one was hurt. Now to that breaking news out of orlando. Police say that a gunman who opened fire at a nightclub is dead. Investigators are calling this shooting a mass casualty situation. That video you just saw was from our sister station in orlando. Police responded to the club around 2 00 this morning. The club posted a note on its website saying everyone get out of the club and keep running. Police trucks have been transporting injured victims to the hospital. Were going to continue to watch this. That comes just one day after the murder of former voice contestant Christina Grimmie. The Burlington County native was shot and killed while signing autographs following her concert. A man drove from st. Petersburg to orlando specifically to attack grimmie. Grimmies brother tackled the suspect, then took his own life. Fwrim mys family, friends are mourning her death. Were live just outside her church in medford. Reporter in about three hours, parishioners will be gathering here for the first of two sunday services. This is where Christina Grimmie worshipped with her family. This is also where parishioners remember that awardwinning voice. This is how they tearfully will remember the young woman who worshipped with them before her family moved to california. I would say one of the most joyful people ive met, and humble. In north philadelphia, police are investigating a Chain Reaction crash that sent three people to the hospital including an 11yearold boy. Police say the driver ran over the boy who was walking along westly high avenue. A woman driving the nissan is in critical condition. The boy and the volkswagen driver are expected to be okay. Police are looking for the gunman in a deadly shooting. Someone opened fire. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Happening right now, the ben franklin bridge is closed for a charity event. Police have shut down the bridge to traffic for the american cancer societys annual Charity Bicycle ride. Nbc10 was on devereaux street last night where police found a driver shot in the head and slumped over the wheel of this nissan. A second Person Injured in the nissan is being treated at the hospital right now. Police believe an argument may have led to that shooting. Police are also investigating a double shooting this time in south philadelphia. It happened last night at tasker and south 18th street. A second man is in critical condition. Police have not made any arrests so far. Today, philadelphia will host its 28th annual pride parade and festival. Its the regions largest celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. The festival will feature food, music, and other live performances. One of the biggest africanamerican festivals in the country will be happening in University City today. Nearly 500,000 people are expected to visit the festival that celebrates the aruba new year with live music, hundreds of vendors, african, caribbean and soul food.
